Doll awakens in the middle of the night, tied to her bed, at the mercy of an unexpected stranger.
Don’t go into this one expecting much plot. It’s a short, smut-filled novella. Despite knowing this, there are some questions I would have liked answered. But overall, it’s good for scratching an itch.

I'm glad it was a freebie, pfiu.
There's not much to say
- it's purely erotica
- did it make sense?? maybe, hmm, I'm glad he decided to spare her; but how and why did he reach that decision? well, there are not enough pages in this read to catch those aspects as well
- would have loved fewer kinks since everything was so rushed; maybe less and more nicely explored would have been better
- not a fan of the writing style

I went in knowing that it was just one long smut scene essentially, and that’s exactly what it was. There were some things that I wanted clarified, like for example, he’s there to kill her right? But it’s never revealed why. I don’t need an entire backstory cause again it’s just a scene but just like a small explanation on what she did to warrant a full on assassination. And also this is just personal preference but “little puppy” (his nickname for her) just wasn’t doing it for me. And you do find out what he looks like in the end and I just want to say not what I expected AT ALL. This one just wasn’t for me.

This was definitely something twisted and weird..and I did and didn't enjoy it at the same time
The only reason I can understand what he did to her is because she requested it but even then it was a bit weird, his last pov is the reason I am putted 3 stars and not 2 stars.
The epilogue also confused me a lot..by the way I thought he was like in his late 20s..but I guess I was wrong

The Invader is a quick short story that packed all the punches with an ending you probably wouldn’t see coming.
You start off going to sleep in the dark alone but you can feel a presence like no other. Until you see a figure moving throughout your room in the dark. Then this figure you find out is a man that is there to kill you but you plead that he doesn’t let you die a virgin. This book was such an easy read with spice and suspense. You’re always wondering when he’ll kill her or if he even will.
Definitely cheek this book out if you’re into this kind of stuff!

I really loved the premise of this book bc it’s one of my biggest fantasies. I also love the use of the nickname “puppy” bc that is what my partner calls me and it’s super underrepresented. The spice is so good. There’s a bit of grammatical errors and sometimes the pacing is a bit weird, I wish it didn’t end on a happy ever after but nobody else wants that

If you’re looking for an all smut, zero plot novella, look no further. I wish we would’ve at least gotten an answer of who hired the ‘invader’ or why, but no such luck. Also, I wish the author would’ve had someone else proofread this. For example: saying the H “flickered” her body part is the wrong use of the word (flicked should’ve been used instead) and not knowing the difference between “feel” and “fill” - you don’t FILL an emotion… Finally, I don’t think “assassinator” is a word :/ just call him the assassin.

I’ve LOVED it! It’s the perfect short novela! It had just the right amount of mystery and spicy 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️. (Just 4🌶️ because doll was a virgin, and it was perfect) I felt hear fear 🥵the thrill and it was amazing!

I received this as an arc and while I love the concept of the story it just needed a better delivery. I understand that it’s supposed to be a short story but it still needs some context as to why she’s being killed by an assassin. And also little puppy and calling her a little girl really threw me off. Maybe a little more editing and more context and this would be a good read. I may be overly harsh but I don’t mean it in a rude way I just want to be honest and hope it helps.
