Quick summary
Christine (Chris) Holland has been stalked by a murderer for two years now, ever since she surprised him at one of his grisly scenes. Running and hiding hasn't stopped him so she reaches out to Lost and Found, Inc. for help. Marcus Ricci takes the assignment, understanding that she's his until this guy is caught.

The suspense
Chris has no memory of the murderer's face and he knows it, just content to torture her and threaten anyone who becomes important to her. She's abandoned friends, has no family and lives pretty much in isolation. Marcus has his hands full in protecting her and trying to find out the identity of the killer, whose point of view is provided so WE know something about him, just not who he is exactly and why he's targeted Chris. It was chilling to know what was coming Marcus and Chris's way and waiting to see the outcomes. It kept me on the edge of my seat as this guy was ruthless and heartbreak wasn't spared.

The romance
If you've read the previous books, you know that Marcus is a widow, not having really recovered from the loss of his wife. Chris and Marcus connected because of their personal qualities, she being beyond courageous, without any of those TSTL behaviors, and in spite of her circumstances, had a great attitude towards life and he being a simply honorable man. Chris brought out the best in Marcus and their romance was grounded in the things you like to see most...genuine caring, admiration and affection. Hotness doesn't hurt, either.

The bottom line
I'm just blown away by this series as each story seems to outdo the last. It was a gnarly mystery because the motivation of this psycho was unclear, which makes it hard to find a direction to start solving. And, the guy was a serial killer! The romance was sensual and often sweet, just what I was hoping to find for Marcus. Both were wonderful designed and this had everything I look for in a romantic suspense...characters you really like and a strong romance successfully integrated into a suspenseful plot. The climax wasn't easy either. Bring on book #4!

This is the third book I've read by Jerrie Alexander and it was similiar in both quality and consistency with the other books I read. She seems to have a real talent of writing creepy villains and doesn't shy away from sharing the grissly parts with readers. Overall, I'm a fan of this author. She does a good job of balancing a romantic story line with a suspenseful plot. I consider her books a bit of a guilty pleasure instead of a true romantic suspense/thrill story, but they are enjoyable all the same.

Two years ago Chris Holland's sister, Chelsea, was murdered. Chris fought with the murderer but escaped. Two years later, she still has nightmares. Chris stayed on the move, but he found her time and time again. But now he's gotten closer—inside her home, and he had a message. He would kill her when the time was right. He's letting her live for now, but warns her that if she makes friends, they will die. Unable to handle the situation on her own anymore, she decides to hire help upon a friend's recommendation. Lost and Found Inc. is her last hope.

Chris and Marcus are definitely my next favorite couple in this series, after Ty and Ana. I really enjoyed the maturity of these two characters and their interaction with one another. Chris wasn't a damsel in distress per se, but neither was she one of those heroines who insists being able of taking care of herself while running headlong into danger. They came across as equals which was very pleasing to read. In fact, the growing relationship was handled very well. It had sexual tension without angst or annoying push and pulls. They were pretty straight forward with their wants and expectations, but they didn't put up a fight as their feelings began to evolve.

The most thrilling part of any Jerrie Alexander book, for me, is the villain's POV. Out of all of her villains, this one made me squirm the most. The descriptions of his deeds were quite graphic and chilling. I've said it almost every time I've reviewed a Jerrie Alexander novel, if you can stomach some current TV shows featuring serial killers, then you can handle this.

The story was pretty even in terms of being both character and plot driven. I tried to pick up hints along the way about the who and the why of it all, but I didn't figure it out until the signs became more obvious. I love a story that doesn't give it all away up front. The climax was thrilling, and call me crazy, but I do like the heroine getting a bit roughed up. It just lends more desperation, rage and hope to the entire scenario without crossing a fine line.

The Bottom Line

I highly recommend this series. It features hunky alpha males who share an unbreakable bond forged back in their college years. The former military heroes put their resources and skills to good use, helping those who have run out of other options. They all have their flaws, but so far they all seem to embrace the prospect of finding and holding on to love when they find it. The locations and plots are always different, which keeps this series fresh and interesting. It's well-written, sexy and a great way to spend the day—with a thrill and a chill.

PS: The books can be read as standalones, but it is better to read them in order to avoid relationship spoilers. Each book has a HEA and no cliffhangers!

The suspense and thrills are high in this third book in the Lost and Found series. From the chilling opening scene to the final confrontation you’re on a nonstop ride with a sexy brooding hero and a tough but vulnerable heroine.

We’ve met Marcus in the previous books and knew he had a tragedy in his past that has left him feeling guilty and content with living his life with just his dog Diablo (who plays a large part in the story and you just fell in love with him every time he was on the page).

Christine Holland walked in right after a killer murdered her sister. Even though she was face to face with him and managed to get away she has blocked out what he looks like. It’s now two years since the murder and she has been running from the killer who seems to find her everywhere she goes. After his latest threat she decides to go to Lost and Found, Inc for protection and help in trying to bring the killer to justice.

The chills were a plenty with the creepy killer and his thoughts. Its always nice when the author doesn’t spare us any gruesome details. Even though Chris and Marcus were put through hell from the killer and they both had reasons to not want to get involved the author didn’t apply the typical angsty drama between them as the story went along. Marcus had some ghost to put to rest but he managed to do it without breaking Chris heart in the process which was such a refreshing change.

I’ve never been disappointed with any of Jerrie’s books and this was no exception. Looking forward to the next book in the series.

Bravery VS Evil

Chris and Marcus's story was filled with many twists and turns, a page turner from the fist paragraph, but still a very well written story. I normally do not read dark thrillers. I found this book to be darker than the first two in this series, however, I understood the reasoning. The darkness had to be there for the reader to understand the dynamics of a very complicated character. I look forward to reading Jakes story and know as this series continues it keeps getting better. I encourage all my reader friends to pick up this fantastic series whether you just like mysteries or paranormal. Jerrie Alexander will peak your interest from Book 1 and your interest will grow from there! This Series is so good I am sad when each of these stories end. I want to read more about Kaycee, Nate, Ty, Anna, Chris and Marcus. I hope we continue to read about them in Jakes story. Yes, you will feel like they have become your family or even your friends. Now, onto Jakes story and I will let you know my thoughts on that book. Jerrie Alexander you have become one of my favorite authors. Your stories have beauty, bravery, and grit. Love the Series!

Every book in this series s better than the previous . This book is twisted, gritty, suspenseful, hot, it is everything you want in a book. I had difficulties putting this book down. It sad, and happy and scary, it is such a great story I was very much surprised ( no I don’t spoil) and I loved it. Go read this series.

I absolutely loved this story. Once I started I didn't want to put it down. It drew me in from the very beginning and held my attention the whole time. There are more than enough twists and turns to keep the reader's attention and guessing. I love the characters. Marcus and Chris are so well written and I was drawn to them from the very beginning. They are relatable and real. I already loved Marcus from the previous two books but I got to know so much more of him and fell in love even more. He is an awesome guy that has been hurt but is dealing with it. His dog is awesome!! If you read the last book you will know what I am talking about and all animal lovers will be very pleased with this aspect of it. I loved Diablo and was so glad that he played a role in the story and we got to see his transformation. Chris is a woman that has been through hell and yet she is still standing and willing to fight. I love that about her and the fact that she knows herself and isn't willing to lose what matters or allow the murderer to take her life from her anymore than he already has.

In this story Chris saw her sister's murderer and got away from him. The murderer has stalked Chris for two years and is ratcheting up his torment. Chris decides to go to Lost and Found Inc. to ask for help. Marcus sees her out front and gets her to go in the door. He is drawn to her from the beginning, when he has held himself apart from people since his wife's death. Marcus takes lead on the case as they try to protect Chris and find out who murdered her sister, who's stalking and trying to kill her, and why.

This story will keep your attention all the way through and leave you wanting more of the characters. This is the 3 in the series and they are all connected. They follow a different couple every time but you get to see the previous characters and future characters in all the stories. It can be read as a stand alone but I recommend reading the others in the series to get the maximum amount of enjoyment. Can't wait for more...especially Jake's story. I recommend this book to anyone that enjoys a well written book, with awesome characters, and action.

I did receive a copy of the book in return for an honest review. I truly love this story and this series.

Marcus has always been the quiet and stoic one of Lost and Found Inc. Always unapproachable since his wife died while Marcus was in Afghanistan. That is until Chris Holland comes into his life. Chris is being stalked by her sisters killer. At first Marcus treats Chris like every other client. That is until he realizes what kind of woman she is and the tragedy of her past that weighs so heavily on her. As threats become more pronounced and dangerous, Marcus draws closer to Chris than he should. He knows that the killer will kill him to get to her and is willing to risk it all to keep her safe. Soon Marcus and Chris realize there is no more fighting of their feelings for one another and passions swell within the danger. When the killer finally makes his move will Marcus be able to save Chris or will he lose more than just his heart this time?

I LOVED this story. I couldn’t wait for Marcus’ story anyway. He has always been a bit of an enigma in this series and I was happy to see how this story illuminated his character. Marcus and Chris were great characters for one another. I thought that they brought out the best in each other and learned to grow. The story itself is also a wonderful one. The suspense and intricacies of the two killers and how they are associated to Chris was a cool psychological ride that was uniquely written as only Jerrie Alexander can. Thus far this has been my favorite in this series. With the story entangled with romance, suspense and psychological thriller it definitely has it all. This would be a perfect Criminal Minds episode. Jerrie Alexander has truly done it again. If you haven’t read any of her books you are missing out. I have read them all and can’t for Jake’s story next. If you’re looking for something thrilling with some romance thrown in then you need to pick up Jerrie Alexander’s Lost and Found Inc series. You won’t want to put it down.

Absolutely LOVED this book, NO CHANCE IN HELL, 3rd in this series, Jerrie Alexander left nothing out, the heat, the romance and the suspense from one minute to the next you’ll be in whirlwind of emotions!

Ms. Alexander knows how to keep the pages turning and this series has only gotten better with each book. She has the ability to write strong women in the face of danger and even stronger men that see them as equals, even while trying to protect them. I cannot say enough about this authors writing her style is such a refreshing change, the characters while flawed in some way tug at you no matter the circumstance. I have to add even the villains in her books will have you questioning everything.

I had been dying for Marcus’ story the tragedy and guilt that had been eating away at him but to see all the strength he held inside come undone for a second chance. Chris was his perfect storm, she stood up to him and held up even more as her life was falling apart. The chemistry between these two, not just physical but emotional, was exciting to watch and read! Even when things were bad these two were amazing together.

Ms. Alexander knows how to a take a suspense and shake you up. What you think will never be the same as the story goes. The first page had me sitting up until the last WTH moment, nothing is as it appears in her books and this one word “SHOCKING” is all I can say!

That’s what I love about a romantic suspense, the heart pounding thrill of not knowing, where you can feel your pulse quicken needing the answers and when you’re done and wanting the next book right now! Jerri Alexander did just that in NO CHANCE IN HELL!

This is my third book and my second read in this series and I was anxiously waiting for Marcus's story especially after reading about him in the second installment Cold Day in Hell. It started off quickly with a damsel in distress, needing the services of the Lost and Found, Inc. The heroine, Christine interrupts a crime against her sister and is now the target of his wrath. After having lost so much in such a short time, she's unable to find peace. At her wits end, she is referred to the agency by an FBI agent. Marcus is a strong, honorable ex-soldier who can't get past the fact he wasn't there to protect his young wife from dying in a car accident. Their last words were less than stellar so, he's living with crushing guilt. From the start, there's a connection between Chris and Marcus, but he doesn't believe he's worthy of a second chance. When he realizes Chris is an animal lover and his dog Diablo is an instant admirer, he really begins to open his emotions little by little. The author develops the characters slowly and we see Christine is no wilting flower. She actually can sometimes be too strong-willed for her own good. She finally realizes, there is more strength in numbers as she's totally blown away when they uncover more and more about who her protagonist is. Diablo was a joy to read and was a perfect compliment to Marcus's character. I liked the way the author didn't instantaneously allow Marcus to overcome his issues with his past. I'm especially looking forward to reading Jake's story as he was introduced in the first book. Ms. Alexander gives you tidbits of background from earlier books so, even if you've not read them back to back, you can quickly pick up the story line. Overall, an enjoyable read and would definitely recommend.

A definite must read filled with heat, suspense and romance.

Chris Holland has been running from her sister’s killer for two years, but the killer always seems to locate her. When he finds her latest hideout and issues a threat, she decides to turn to the Lost and Found, Inc. to help her find the killer and bring him to justice. Marcus Ricci is given the task of protecting Chris and helping her. Closed off emotionally after his wife’s untimely death, Marcus finds himself drawn to Chris even though he’s held himself apart from people.

No Chance in Hell takes off running from the very first page and doesn’t let up until the thrilling climax. Jerrie Alexander demonstrates her talent for words by crafting yet another highly suspenseful love story with plenty of twists and turns to keep the reader guessing and interested. The main characters are well developed and likeable, including Marcus’ dog Diablo, who has a large part in the story and is awesome. However, don’t let the cuteness of the dog throw you. The reader’s pulse quickens and heart pounds as the villain splashes his evil thoughts and deeds on the pages of this novel.

The heat, suspense, and romance that fill this story bring out a myriad of emotions that keep the reader turning the pages rapidly. A thrilling ride that will have you rooting for the happily ever after between the sexy, lamenting hero and the tough, determined heroine. A definite must read.

While the story, No Chance in Hell, is the goriest in the series so far when it comes to the suspense, the romance is the sweetest of them all. When both sides of the story is mixed, it creates a harmonious, smooth, flowing tale.
The villains are evil, hateful, and heinous. The crimes they commit are malicious, and made my stomach turn, from the images the author created. The psychological tension that is build, while you wait for the villain's next move is substantial. I actually had to take brakes from reading to get my head off the story. It will hunt you.
The cast in the Lost and Found Inc series warm my heart with the love, trust, and confidence they have for each other. Marcus is a true alpha, protective and overpowering, but at the same time pure sweetness, loving, caring, attentive, and affectionate. The way he cares for Diablo, just made me melt.
Chris, like all the women in the series, are tough, enduring, survivals.
The romance, attraction, between Marcus and Chris is fresh and potent, palpable. While the images of the crimes the author created were more cruel than before, so is the lovemaking sensuous, steamy, just HOT!
All these factors mixed into this tale, makes it fascinating, one to be remembered.

Two years ago ChrisC arrived as her sister, Chelsea, was being murdered. She fought off the attacker and ever since he has been stalking her, taunting her. After he breaks into her home and terrorises her she decides to contact Lost and Found Inc.

Marcus still feels the loss of his wife in a car accident whilst he was serving in Afghanistan. He regrets that their last words were said in anger and he has closed himself off from almost everyone. Chris is no damsel in distress but she knowes her limits and realises she can no longer hide herself away.

I loved seeing the villain's POV!!!!!! He made me squirm and you really get an idea of just how chilling he is and how determined to have Chris!!. The descriptions of his deeds were quite graphic and gruesome. But nothing you don't see on CSI each week.

I love this series, former military, Alpha heroes helping those who most agencies turn away. They all have their flaws, and that is so much better then "perfect" heroes. Well written, great characters and hoping the series continues for a lot more books!!!!!

Another good story. None of them have really taken me by storm as some other series I could name, but they are well done. The female characters are really capable and I find that refreshing. They do need assistance, of course, but they are all also determined to decide their own fates, so I like that. In this one, Chris Holland has lived with the memory of her sister being killed and being taunted by her killer. Lost & Found is helping her to trace back the story of her family to discover who hates them that much. Along the way, she is protected by Marcus Ricci, one of the founding members of Lost and Found. He has been lost himself, since his wife died. He begins to have a spark of life when he finds a dog which has been trained to kill. He is determined to rescue the dog and turn him into a guardian instead of a killer. This makes Marcus look around at the world again, and come out of his shell. When he does, he meets Chris. Recommended.

This is the third in a series that can be read as standalones but are best read in order. There are no cliffhangers (thank goodness!!) and each has a happy ending. These are all Over-18 reads.
Marcus is one of the characters of the previous books and I've been anxiously waiting his story. I was not disappointed!! Ms. Alexander's character development and descriptions have you in the moment from the first chapter. Seriously, no one writes a bad guy any better than this. Marcus must protect his client (Chris) from a stalker who is an intellectual genius...Marcus and Chris have their own issues to deal with while battling the antics of the villain. Reading the stalkers POV will give you chills. The relationship between Chris and Marcus is heartwarming and gentle then burns and sears your soul. You will be rooting for them in the end.
Well worth starting from the beginning of this series if you have not done so already!!!

Another great suspenseful, thrilling read and of the Lost & Found series, this is the 3rd book. All have really great covers! About friends (strong alpha males)that have a PI business together.
Marcus has to dealing with feelings he would rather keep buried after his wife is killed by a drunk driver while he served in Afghanistan. When Chris walks into the office of Lost & Found to get help to find her sisters killer, the only family she has left. Marcus tries to protect Chris when the killer turns his sites onto her. Marcus is a bit of a loner happy living life with just his dog,Diablo. Sparks fly between them, but with a killer out there neither can act on their feelings until the killer is caught!
Highly recommend! Read the whole series or read anyone of them alone, but I would read them all!

Another great read by Ms. Alexander. Nobody does romantic suspense better. Each book ratchets up the tension—action wise and sexually. And then to top it off, in NO CHANCE IN HELL, Ms. Alexander adds a dog, a wonderful dog who like the people in the book had gone through hell, but was given a chance at redemption. Can it get any better? I don’t know, but Ms. Alexander keeps raising our expectations with each new book, and she meets those in every way possible. Her first book, THE GREEN EYED DOLL, is one of my all-time favorites. She started on a high, and she just keeps going. If you haven’t yet jumped on her fan bandwagon with the rest of us, what are you waiting for? We’ll make room for you.

Thrills and romance keeps readers on the edge of their seat in this mesmerizing romantic suspense. I have not read the first two books in the series, but I was completely caught up in this one from beginning to end and I really want to know what happened to Nate and Kay and Ty and Anna. I am also looking forward to reading Jake and Holly’s book when it comes out. And I must mention that while I loved Marcus and Chris, I fell in love with Diablo and I really think that he should get a girlfriend as well.

I didn't expect to like this but I did. Chris and Marcus were meant for each other, they didn't play any mind games or waiting games while the killer was on the loose but just surrendered to their passion. I also liked the mystery and twist.

There were a lot of breakthroughs for Marcus and I liked the relationship with Diablo (the former killer dog in the previous book). It's a great read over all, my favorite in the series so far.

My whole week has been filled with Lost and Found, Inc. men. Marcus might be my favorite. He's got the whole hot, Italian hunk thing going for him. He thinks he'll never move past the tragic death of his wife. In walks Chris and she begins to chip away at the wall all while she's dealing with her own stalker. Is her love enough to save him? Is his love for her too distracting and will it get her killed? Read the book and find out!

I love the recurring characters too. A great series yet each book can definitely stand on its own. Can't wait for Jake's book . . .

4/5 I liked the Characters Chris and Marcus. They completely worked but towards the end I felt that it was rushed to finish. Like Marcus busting in and seeing Christine tied up and Diablo saving day after a short dialog. It wasn't believable then ties into her inky having mostly superficial cuts. I don't know? I sort of teeter from 3.5-4
