For me at least, this was an anticlimactic ending. Basically the last few German soldiers who made it to Skull Island are whittled down until a final confrontation at the big wall, and... yeah, the main character just gets killed by Kong at the end. I do like that this series is a horror story about Kong, but the ending just felt anti-climactic and disappointing to me.

Sadly, I only got my hands on 4 of the 6 installments of this atmospheric tale set during WWI. Really enjoyed the four I read: 2-4 and 6. Well plotted and paced. Fantastic art. Awesome covers too.

Great read for all King Kong fans.
