At 73 and still going strong, I've become increasingly interested in anything that might help keep me upright, energised, and enjoying life. The Omega Solution by Dr Graham Jenkins hit the spot. I'd heard before that Omega-3 was good for you—heart, brain, joints, the lot—but never has it been put so clearly, so convincingly, and dare I say, so eloquently. Dr Jenkins lays out the science in a way that's easy to grasp, even for someone who didn't grow up googling fatty acid ratios. The emphasis on balancing Omega-3 and Omega-6 makes perfect sense now, and the real-life stories sprinkled throughout really bring it home. I especially appreciated the practical tips—like how to boost your Omega-3 intake without choking down oily fish (which I've always drunk-one large tablespoon every morning🤮). A few sections could've been more concise if I had one tiny gripe. But overall, this is a brilliant, inspiring read for anyone interested in living longer and healthier.
This book is an excellent source of information. I never really understood the importance of Omega 3 in a person's life until reading this. The book explains so much about why it is needed and how to get it. It also does it in a way that flows and does not just seem monotonous and boring. This is the first book that has ever given me alternatives to eating fish, which I hate, and I have been looking everywhere for solutions to that. I am very glad I found this book, and I highly recommend it!
I have always supplemented with Omega 3’s, but I now want to get my teenagers to take Omega 3’s as well, after what I have read in this book. Balance between Omega 3 and Omega 6 is the key.
