I am so sad I cannot give this book more than 3 stars since I absolutely loved Ana’s other books and I had high hopes for this one but it just wasn’t for me. I felt like it was an unnecessary continuation of the first book and there was not much going on besides Lex and Andrea continuously pining for each other and being inappropriate at work and just thinking about how much they want each other and not acting like adults at all. I just couldn’t find myself caring about their relationship and I found it hard to keep reading the book even though at first I was so excited to start reading it.

I absolutely love these characters but I am a firm believer that romance books don’t need to be 440+ pages long and end on a cliffhanger. Will I read the next one? Probably. 😆

This book is so spicy and fun but after a while I need some plot with my smut. Still giving 4 stars because I do love the characters so much.

I don’t understand? Did somebody else write this book? It’s SO different from book 1, it’s very immature and repetitive I think it set feminism at least 50 years back.
They were like different characters and not good ones, all the parts I liked in book 1 were gone.

I loved this book so much. Andrea and Alexander’s story in book two had me all over the place (in a good way). I love how they’ve grew as characters and we’ve learned so much more about their personalities in this one. Especially Alexander’s. All the ups and downs through this book are so well put together and you really feel the intensity of the emotions. The heat between these two is astronomical too, it’s so intensifying each time they’re together and I am here for it! I just love the story all together and it was good to be back with them even though it felt like a short time because I devoured this book so fast. There was so many cute moments and there was a couple moments where I kicked my legs and eeeeeked (you know what I mean). I can’t believe how it ended either!! That threw me off guard a little bit even though I knew something was coming I just wasn’t sure what was coming and that ending definitely wasn’t what I’d expect. Book three is going to be soo good I know it!

When I got the opportunity to request an eArc of this book, I jumped at the chance. I needed to know what happens because of that cliffhanger from The Desire Variable. I quite enjoyed this read and there was so much packed into this book. I also love the disability rep in this book and really appreciated its inclusion throughout. This book is nerdy, spicy and so well written. The ending of this novel has got me really hooked for book 3.

The sequel served as well as left me with more questions. Lex is my most favourite character. I hate how he gets what he doesn’t want every time.

Ana D’arcy ate and left no crumbles! I had butterflies every chapter, my heart hurt so much that I had to stop and tell my husband about this book.
Also, cliffhanger? Again? Ana, when I catch you Ana……now I need book 3 like now. I can’t wait that long!

The amount of sex they have sounds unreal to me like, maybe I'm the weird one, but I would rather kill myself tbh

And don't get me wrong, I looooved the first one, but this is a contemporary romance, one book is enough. This didn't even feel like the same characters, and that part where Andrea gets self conscious about her body and stops eating??? I beg yall to look at the cover. She's a stick. What are all the descriptions calling her "squishy" and similar?

(Sigh) it feels so good to be reunited with Andy and Lex…except for the fact of what went down in the ending of the first book. Other than that, it was all smiles, laughter, swooning, and a bit of anticipation while reading this story. Ana D’Arcy once again brings a vivid sense to Andy and Lex’s story, as well as adding even more swoon worthy and dare I say, steamy moments that had me immediately hooked right away. Lex and Andy’s story continued as they navigated through their relationship and what exactly that meant for them. With some groveling (which I love!) and a lot more communication, this romance between Andy and Lex reached new heights that readers who read the first book will appreciate and love EVEN MORE!

When I think of my book boyfriend(s) there’s some that immediately come to mind, and as I read this book, I was reminded exactly why Lex belonged on my book boyfriend list too. Lex has always been an intriguing and complexed character that always had me seeing him in different lights. While Lex was someone who was extremely intelligent and dominant, there was a side of his backstory that I got to see that made him endearing to me. Despite Lex having a strong personality, there was some moments throughout the book that showed his endearing qualities that made me adore him more. Ana wrote Lex perfectly in a way that showed his dual sides. One side of his personality that was utterly wide and endearing as well as his dominant, intelligent that made me fold for him. As if that wasn’t enough to make me love Lex, the things he said in this book were absolutely incredible. I mean this sincerely when I say, THIS MAN SAID THE MOST BEAUTIFUL AND SENTIMENTAL THINGS TO ANDY! You’ll have to read the quotes when you read it for yourself and I guarantee you’ll be swooning to the max overload and wondering, “where can I get my own Lex?” Because that’s exactly what I was thinking too! Without spoiling it for you, just know that Ana raised our expectations and exceeded them to show us more than what we could have hoped for. Lex was the man and there was no doubt he stole my heart once again with this story.

Andy was in quite a whirlwind of emotions at the beginning of this book, and my girl was going through it. With the way first book ended, the start of this book introduced the second chance romance aspect of Lex and Andy’s story. As much as Andy developed a deep and intimate relationship with Lex, things didn’t exactly go to plan, and it resulted in heartbreak. Suffice it to say, when it came to rekindling and working things through with Lex, Andy made sure that he put in the work to win her back, and of course, there was some groveling ;) . Even with all that Andy was experiencing in the romance department, I loved seeing more of her in her job and being the ultimate brainiac that she was. Andy was still the ever so kind woman she was, sassy, having amazing banter with Lex, and occasionally taking control of things or even control over Lex which was chef’s kiss.

I obviously love how Ana D’Arcy wrote this book and the first book that had so many intriguing aspects to this romance, but I SURE AS HECK DID LOVE THE SPICE IN THIS BOOK AS WELL! OMG THE COUNTLESS TIMES ANDY AND LEX WENT AT IT WITH THEIR SLEX (*that’s what Andy refers to her and Lex having sex lol) If you want a spicy romance that checks off all the boxes from the emotional depth, humor, fantastic banter, a man such as Lex, THIS IS IT PEOPLE! Not only was I swooning and falling for Lex even more in this book, but the way THIS FICTIONAL MAN HAD ME MELTING, BLUSHING, GASPING IN SURPRISE AND DARN I SAY FEEL THE HEAT EMANATING FROM THOSE SPICY SCENES?! I HAD A GOOD OLD JOLLY TIME WITH LEX DIRTY TALKING AND BEING HOT! Andy also had her time to take matters into her own hands which GOOD FOR HER! ANDY GOT HERSELF A MAN THAT LITERALLY WORSHIPPED HER! Also…Lex and Andy probably had the hottest spicy scene I’ve ever to date, and PHEW! SEXY! HOT! PASSIONATE! SCOLDING HOT IT WAS AMAZING! Soooo, if you couldn’t tell already, I was also a BIG fan of the spice in this book too :) .

After reading this book, I feel like I went through a multitude of different events, revelations, twists, and turns. Ana truly had me at the edge of my seat towards the end, and in a shocking turn of events, I CRIED! I mean, I already felt an immense deep connection to Andy and Lex, but the way Ana wrote this book is a testament to how well she knows these characters in and out. In addition, the way Ana wrote the dialogue in this story genuinely made me feel the emotional aspects to Andy and Lex. Without giving spoilers, I will say, prepare to be emotionally wrecked because you won’t see it coming. Aside from that reaction I had, this was a PHENOMENAL BOOK! I truly cannot stress how amazing Ana wrote this book (as well as the first one) !!! I truly believe if you want a romance that had the emotional depth, character growth, humor, spice, some twists, and lovable characters, as well as highlighting important topics, this book and the first are the perfect choice. From the moment I started reading, I could FEEL IT IN MY BONES, this was the kind of story that was going to consume my whole attention which it did. Ana has quickly become a favorite author of mine, and she’s a phenomenal author which shows through her writing. Andy and Lex’s story in this book was more than them finding a second chance romance, it explored so much more, and even expanded on their growth compared to the first book. I can literally keep going on about how wonderful this book was, but my main point being, this was an automatic five stars, and amazingly written. IMA NEED THAT NEXT BOOK STAT ANA!

it’s literally 5 am. i stayed up damn near 24 hours just to read this 😭 and i absolutely devoured and loved every second of it. like what more can i say- i’m obsessed.
the love i have for lex and andrea needs to be studied because the emotional attachment that i have to these two fictional characters is nowhere near normal. i needed this book so bad after the heart-wrenching ending of the first book and now i have to wait for the 3rd book to know what happens to them next and i genuinely don’t know how i’ll survive the wait 🙂‍↕️ it’ll be worth it though, i just know it’s going to be even more chaotic after that ending and i’m so READY for it, especially knowing how feisty my girl andrea is✨literally gonna be thinking about this until the next book comes out.

ANA I LOVE YOU BUT HOW DARE YOU FOR THAT CLIFFHANGER. Okay...okay off my chest but seriously this book, book one had me falling hard and fast like that couple and the end ripped me apart and this book built back my heart. Lex and Andy, I can't get enough of them honestly, you had me crying, laughing and blushing through this whole book. I missed my sassy Andy and her nerdy, quirky self I loved her so much even more than the first book. Seeing her so vunrable as well as Lex showed me a different side of them. Lex...man is superman not his villan for sure in my book, loved getting to see his softer side and see him open up to Andy and put anyone in their place when it came to her. I will be feral like a raccoon, until the next book cause I need it like yesturday. Oh my god, you really know how to sink your line in and drag me, and I respect that. I can't wait to see what is to come and how many more twists you have up your sleeve!!

Andrea and Lex 😍🥹🥵 Still owning my heart page by page! Angsty, spicy heaven. Lex continues to make me blush, and soaked with his honesty, obsession, and his authentic self. Andrea continues to make me cackle, gasp, and smirk. The spice makes me want to lie outside on the grass under the sun and kick my feet 😂❤️🥵

This book gave us so much more insight into Alexander, his past, and why he is the way he is. I loved this man even more. His thoughtfulness, eagerness, groveling, and heart 🥹 not to forget those hands, *cough cough* and mouth get sinfully hotter 🫦🧎‍♀️ He's was so complex when we started this trilogy but as time goes on, he reveals more of himself. I know Andrea is loving it 🥹 The way he is utterly devoted to her, and learning everything about her. He lets her into his life more easily now. There is so much growth from him 🥹

The way this woman made me cackle and bark with her 😂🧎‍♀️🫦 I ain't kidding, everytime she said her one liners and dirty thoughts, I was with her, because I understand 😌 She's feistier, more loving, invested, obsessed and won't let this man go without a fight. Oh, she makes this man grovel and beg alright 😏 She barged her way into his life and heart, and she's here to stay 🥹 She's the perfect counterpart to him, and loves unconditionally. The way she stands up for and protects him. Her character has made so much growth and progress as well 😍😌

This was a great read, especially toward the later quarter or so where it kicked up a notch for me.

It is a series in the actual sense, book one ended in a cliffhanger, and initially I couldn’t quite remember why exactly what happened at the end of the first book happened, so starting this one I did feel a little discombobulated but got into it after a little bit - especially because this book has great characters and the writing itself is so engaging. Andy does fly off the handle easily and Lex has a bit of a martyr complex which we see come out a lot for both of them but they are also both so loving, thoughtful, and funny with each other (as well as being nerdtastic) - I just love them!

There’s a lot of detailed, lengthy open-door sex scenes. For me maybe a little too much focus on that, we know it’s good on that front for Andy and Lex - I cared much more about the emotional/relationship aspect between them, especially since this was a bit of a plot point. I found myself wanting to zone out a bit with the scenes sometimes.

They had the emotional intimacy moments and I loved those, I just wanted more of it - I definitely got my wish toward the latter 30% of the book or so and just fell in love with them both all over again. Their openness with each other (eventually) and the fun banter is great. I loved seeing Lex come alive a bit later on in the book too with family things. I went back and forth a bit between giving this a 3.5 or 4 ⭐️ but I think the last bit of the book bumped it back up for me, it takes a bit to get there and then it’s good.

The end - agh! Nooo! That’s all I’ll say 🤫 lol

This is book 2 of 3 so I’m looking forward to seeing what happens with Andy and Lex and them truly getting their HEA hopefully in book 3!

I recommend this author and series so far! I also loved her other book not connected to this series - check it out!

Tears and tension, love and longing, my oh my what a ride!!! The first book broke me and this one patched me back tf up. Oh and destroyed me again. 🤐

Ana D'Arcy- what a legend you are!!!

After watching Andy & Lex break up for loving each other so much in book 1, I was ready for them to fight the self doubts and get back together stronger. Ana gave us that. And more. So much more. Lex's redemption arc was chef's kiss. 🤌🏻

Their little moments together, the little things they did for each other and their world burning chemistry and their banter - I loved each fucking moment of the book. This sexy book was emotional, angsty, jealousy filled and full of plot twists. It held me in a tight grip from the beginning to the end. I couldn't believe some of the secrets that came out. And the ending?! Ana you crazy crazy girl, how dare you?!

This book destroyed me and I cannot recommend it enough for my second chance trope lover friends.

Can't wait for book 3!!!

Andy and Lex are two of my most favorite literary characters ever, and while The Desire Variable introduces us to them and their lust story, this book really delves into their love story, and does an amazing job at it. Ana really fleshes out the world, the characters, the love, and of course the spice. I love that there’s real plot occurring as well, not that I don’t read mindless spice sometimes, but there’s a real story going on here that you care about and that truly sticks with you.

The Passion Parameter delivers humor, love, spice, character development, plot twists - so what are you waiting for? Go read it!!

You know a book is good when you're so invested in the story like I am with this one. Like what do you mean I have to wait for the next book? Arrgh

This is the sequel and the continuation of Lex and Andy's love story from The Desire Variable. Listen, I like that book but Passion Parameter just knocked it out of the park. I really felt connected with both characters. I feel like I learned more about them because of their interactions and relationships with their family and friends. Lex and Andy's "second chance" started out rough for me. I thought Lex needed more time to grovel and a lot of times in this book, I felt like Andy was quick to forgive. But one thing you can count on with this book is it will make you blush with all the spice! If you thought Book 1 was spicy, be prepared for 10x more of that on this one. It was also so funny and there are so many scenes where I was snickering and giggled uncontrollably. Lex is such a serious MMC to me that when he cracks jokes, it's almost unbelievable. Everytime Lex comments about Andy being a racoon, I just laugh. Andy is one of my fave FMCs but in this book, I really feel for her. Her vulnerability, her insecurities, and her determination, makes up her personality and I love that for her. I love that the entirety of the book were happy times. I actually enjoyed it until I got to the end and I get that dreaded pit in my stomach because I know what's to come. I knew there is a 3rd book so I was mentally preparing myself on how it will end and boy, was I right to prepare. My jaw dropped and now I can't stop thinking about what happens next. That was a great cliffhanger but still it makes me sad.

I loved and enjoyed this book. I am so emotionally invested in Lex and Andy and hope the 3rd book will have an ending fitting for what they'll be going through. Amazing read. I recommend to read The Desire Variable first then read this next. This is a great series and I cannot wait for the next one.

Firstly, I absolutely love that these two get a trilogy all to themselves.
You're telling me I get THREE WHOLE BOOKS just about Andy and Lex?

The second instalment in the Binary Hearts series has easily cemented Ana D'Arcy as an instabuy author for me.
I've loved every book she's given us, and this is no exception.

I loved seeing Andy and Lex navigate their way through their relationship after the cliffhanger that was The Desire Variable, with them both adapting to each others' needs and desires (Communication? Hello!? We love it here!)

I adored the ways they could show their love to the other, while also supporting them through thick and thin.
I love love love Lex, and he's on my book boyfriend list for a reason.
This man says the sweetest, most sentimental things to Andy, while also being completely filthy.

The balance between plot and spice in this one was immaculate, and I got everything I wanted from it and more.
It is full of good plot, spice, comedic timing, twists, character development; all while giving insight to some important topics that aren't always represented in fiction.

This book had me laughing out loud, yelling, kicking my feet, and smiling like the dork that Andy is.
I am so emotionally invested in these two dorks and I can't wait to see where Ana takes us next.
(Though you and I are going to have to have some words over that ending!)

I just finished The Passion Parameter and I need someone to hold me because WHAT was that ending?? Ana D’Arcy really said “oh, you thought book one hurt? Let’s crank that up a notch.” And honestly? She delivered.

We pick up right where things left off and wow… Andy is not okay. She’s trying to move on, trying to heal, but working alongside Alexander? Yeah, that’s not helping. Their chemistry is still burning under the surface—tense, messy, and absolutely magnetic. Every time they were in the same room, I was holding my breath like, are they going to kiss or cry or both??

And when I tell you the emotional damage was REAL—I mean it. Ana puts Andy (and us) through it in this one. Slow-burn angst, SO much pining. But also? Growth. Andrea is really stepping into her own here and I loved seeing that.

Now let’s talk about the spice. Because… yeah. It’s there. It’s bold. It’s intense. And when it hits, it hits hard. Ana doesn’t hold back, and honestly, Alexander and Andy’s tension EXPLODES in the best way possible. I had to pause just to catch my breath. I lived for the SLEX moments (ifyky). 🤭

Also can we talk about the side characters?? The friends, the Kelax chaos, the little cameos from The Walkers??? I ate it all up. And of course… that ending. THAT ENDING. I’m still screaming.

Book 3 can’t come fast enough. Ana, you evil genius.

Well, I’ve finished this masterpiece few days ago but I couldn’t figured out where to start
First, I’d like to thank Ana for this incredible sequel. The middle book in a trilogy is always a tricky one but she’s managed it perfectly with a marvellous balance between anguish, grovelling, bantering, lust, love (lots of love) sex and fears.
The characters are imperfect, making them so real to the reader (me in this case) that when the book ends I feel that emptiness, a hollow that I hope will be fill when the next book’s release. 🤞🏼no pressure Ana, but how fast can you type?😅😂

Un this book we follow the aftermath of the ending of the relationship between Andrea and Lex and if you haven’t read The Desire Variable, I can’t find enough word to encourage to read now! First because it was one of my top lectures last year, and secondly because you need to to read this second installment.

Highly recommend this book. Honestly Ms Ana D'Arcy is so underrated I know she will pop off one day and lowkey a flex that I'm here before all that happens hehe! I rate this book 4.8 because I felt like the aspect of the book that I liked in the first was not on this book. Just like the jealousy ( I wanted Alexander to be more jealous but jealous Andy was nice too hehe). For some reason I just found this book more poetic and really showcase the love Andy and Alexander have for each other regardless of the issues ( I felt like they were minor issues since I KNEW in me that none of those could deter the love they have for each other especially with their personality) I felt like the plot was towards more at the end which ended in a rom-com way cliff hanger I can't wait for the next book!!!! AND THE SPICE OMG there no shortage of that for sure, I thought this would've been a slow burn but noooo Ms Ana did not hold back!!!

What the actual was this book! I am in shock. This was such a great second chance romance.It is emotionally exhausting though because you go through the torture of knowing the other shoe will drop eventually but not knowing when and praying it's not how you think it'll drop... my GAWD I can't... I... I can't process this at 3am. This was so wholesome and sweet and intense and with THAT ending and no book 3 date yet, I'm crashing out over here! I will say I absolutely loved Lex and Andy in this one. I adore the slow love aspect of it all. I adored her family, despised his awful parents and loved Andy's friendships with her friends. So much about Lex's personality makes sense now and it's can so relate. I'm so ready for book 3 but I know I'll have to wait another 6 months at least

I'm not even sure where to start, other than Ana, that cliffhanger! You have killed me! I am Dead, RIP me!  

Book 2 expertly follows on from the events of The Desire Variable, and boy does it deliver a gut punch straight from the word go!
Heartbroken Andrea is trying so hard to move on but she is finding it exceptionally hard when she still has to work along side Alexander, so she decides that she needs to take herself away from this equation, until some friends decide to meddle and throws Andrea right back into Alexanders path once more.

When I tell you I was sobbing in bed at 1am, as quietly as I could so not to wake up my husband, these two had me in a chokehold! I was super excited to dive into this one especially with how book 1 ended and I am even more so invested by the end of this book for book 3! The Passion Parameter bought the return of the whole gang from Kelax to The Walkers as well as some new faces... Some of whom I hope to never see again but I don't doubt that we will in some capacity. 

Ana had me crying and laughing within the same sentence and always leaves me with huge book hangovers! What am I going to do with my life waiting for book 3!! I would highly recommend reading Both The Desire Variable and The Passion Parameter ideally back-to-back but if you want to torture yourself with a self inflicted gap in-between and feel like we have whilst waiting for this one! and now the cliffhanger for book 3!

What a slay.

Such wonderfully complex and human characters.
Such a tender but explosive relationship.
It is a long book but I ate it all up in under 24 hours.

I'm trying not to ramble but I absolutely loved this book!

There were moments where I wanted to reach out and shake both MCs because of how they responded to certain situations but the character work was so well executed that I understood exactly why they did what they did. It made the reading experience that much richer. But fair warning: Andy and Lex were a bit toxic in this one but thankfully it was adequately addressed by the end of the book (as evidenced by my 5 star rating).

I especially enjoyed:
- the romance (obviously), which continues to be quite physical but their genuine love and connection to one another is undeniable
- the continued diversity rep enlightened my understanding and knowledge
- the FMC's family; MC is the real MVP of this series
- the angsttttttttt had me clutching my chest
- the best spice and banter

Would definitely be re-reading the series again, so so so excited for the final book! I need their HEA.

Thank you to the author @authoranadarcy for accepting the groveling and begging & letting us both arc read The Passion Parameter even though we missed the sign up deadline because we discovered Andy & Lex later than we should have. We thank you for your kindness ❤️❤️❤️.

The Passion Parameter was amazing. We loved it even more than the previous because after being idiots for a bit longer, they FINALLY got their shit together and had conversations(LIKE ADULTS!) Who knew communication was key? Once they finally opened up, they were SO CUTE together. We loved all their little jokes and banter. Lex groveling was also perfect. He got even hotter which we genuinely didn't think was possible. The spice is still spicy and sometimes sweet, which we loved.

Andy's family was amazing and we adored how they welcomed Lex, making him feel welcome and comfortable. That was the complete opposite of his terrible family and we were glad to see him realize that family doesn't have to be like his.

The cliffhanger was wild & we can't believe we have to wait for the next one to exist when we want it right now! Definitely snap up The Desire Variable to prep for the release of The Passion Parameter on April 24th!

If you liked The Desire Variable, you’ll love this one too! I honestly wasn’t sure how there’d be 3 books-worth of story to tell here, but I see the vision now and the book absolutely did not disappoint. I stayed up until 2am on a work night reading, so you know it’s good.

This book picks up 3 weeks after the end of The Desire Variable and poor Lex and Andy are utterly miserable. We see them rekindle their relationship “slowly” (ok, so “slowly” by Lex and Andy standards lol) while we learn more about each of them. This book has a lot of surprises, and I don’t want to give any of them away, but I appreciate that it shows us all the messy and imperfect things that happen in a relationship. These aren’t perfect characters, they just happen to be perfect for each other, even when they sometimes make mistakes.

I LOVED Lex’s interactions with Andy’s family and cannot wait for more of it, especially with MC.

Be prepared for a cliffhanger, though this one doesn’t feel quite as painful as the last one. I STILL NEED BOOK THREE IMMEDIATELY THOUGH

Pick up this series if you love Ali Hazelwood and want another nerdy, STEM-centric romance, but with the spice turned way up.
