This was a freebie so I thought - why not?

It was alright, the sex was a bit - he climbs on top . thrust. thrust. half turns into a wolf. shudder. collapse - not the best.

Don't think I'll be reading the next book.

This was a hard press for 3 star rating. NO CHEMISTRY between the lead characters. This book was a lesson on werewolf politics. I mean like parliament and political parties. Don't mind this but it gets boring.

Nothing really happens, boring politics, oh and a girl is kidnapped, turned against her will, the alpha forces himself on her and it’s painted as romance, erm nope kidnapping and Stockholm syndrome, not for me at all, glad it was free.

Another one of the only three books I had downloaded on my phone on a flight to Nadi. This was absolutely terrible. I’m pretty open minded, I think. Like I can’t fathom how you can write a book so bad. I couldn’t even understand what was going on when the smut was happening. I had no idea what any of them were doing, they were just… arguing? Drugging her? Keeping her in the white dungeon, among more things… I’d say that this should’ve been/was just porn with a plot (which would’ve been valid) but it not? I can’t even say that. Because the porn was illegible.

I really enjoyed reading this book, I also enjoyed the Characters. Was my first book by Author Mac Flynn will definitely be back for plenty more *****5 Amazing Alpha Stars*****

The Good
I did not finish this. There were several things that put me off and made me put it down.

The Bad
I'm all for alpha males and macho men, but when you drug someone, kidnap them, and force them to have feelings for you - that's not love. That's Stocholm Syndrome. Luke pretends to be interesting in the bar, but then drugs Rebecca's drink, kidnaps her and holds her hostage when she tries to escape - all because he thinks she's his mate? Nope. Nada.

The Review
The more I red the book, the more angry I got. If I had had a physical copy versus the ebook, I might have burned it. I don't do date rape drugs. I don't do kidnapping and hostage-holding. I don't do "you'll stay here until you realize you're my mate". No. Just... no.

Meine Empfehlung

Als Luke alias der Werwolf in einer Bar auf Becky zukommt und mit ihr zu flirten beginnt, scheint noch alles harmlos zu sein. Sie sitzt wie ein naives Lämmchen auf der Bank und er ist der große böse Wolf. Doch plötzlich nehmen die Ereignisse eine rasante Wende, als Luke sie mit einer Spritze eiskalt unter Drogen setzt und sie entführt. Ich muss ehrlich zugeben, dass habe ich nicht kommen sehen, eigentlich hatte ich angenommen, das wird wieder so eine Geschichte, wo der Wolf das hübsche Mädchen umschmachtet und sie dazu bringt freiwillig mit ihm mit zukommen. Aber nichts da, es macht eher den Anschein als wäre ich mitten in einem Thriller gelandet.

Irgendwie hat mit der Plot ziemlich verwirrt, Luke kidnappt Becky, weil er meint sie sei seine Seelengefährtin. Alles verläuft total stressig, da er derzeitig keine Zeit für sie hat und sich auf die Wahlen vorbereiten muss. Im Laufe der Geschichte wird das mit der Wahl näher erläutert.

Versteht mich nicht falsch, die Fluchtversuche von Becky sind echt der Hammer, sehr unterhaltsam, die kleine zeigt echtes Durchhaltevermögen. Aber ab der Mitte wird alles doch etwas zu trocken und politisch. genau zu diesem Zeitpunkt verstehe ich Becky auch nicht mehr, da sie völlig resigniert an Lukes Seite bleibt.

Fazit - Bewertung: 1 Sterne

Alles in allem ein enttäuschender 1 Band, einer eigentlich vielversprechenden Reihe. Ich habe wirklich mehr erwartet, vom Plot und Schreibstil. Ich habe selten so einen miese Darstellung eines Kampfes zwischen den guten und bösen Jungs erlebt.

Von mir gibt es hier keine Leseempfehlung!

This book was absolutely disgusting. The female lead character gets abducted by the male lead, and kept in his mansion against her will. She is then drugged with an aphrodisiac that magically makes her want to have sex with the male lead. This book was a study in what NOT to write. I couldn't bring myself to continue reading this book, because the male character was a rapist, the female character became a prime example of Stockholm syndrome, and the whole scenario made me sick to my stomach. I've read abduction storylines before, where they had the abductor work to redeem themselves or have a valid reason for abducting the other person (i.e. you're going to be murdered by this person, and I had to save you). This had none of that. It was completely an entitled a**hole saying "you belong to me, and have no rights. You need to come to terms with that."

Not only would I not recommend this book to anyone, if it had been a physical copy, I would have shredded and burned it. It only received 1 star because I couldn't give a lower rating. I'm very disappointed in Mac Flynn for this work - there is no excuse for the reprehensible content.

Was extremely interesting and promising until they left the house for the Sanctuary. The rest of the book was just politics, "witty" banter with no actual chemistry or character building between the leads, and poorly written sex randomly tossed in there. It was super fun for all of 15 minutes and became lackluster. I hate to be repetitive but I cannot stress enough how disappointing it became with the lack of character building and annoying dialogue. Completely insipid.

I rate this book 5.5 stars because I loved the fighting scene also there was a lot of humour between Luke and Becky the intimate scenes where not as good as rosemary beach series but I surpose they where better than young adult books.
I can't wait to read the next book and hopefully enjoy the next novel.

The content wasn’t for me. A bit more political than I would have liked. I wanted the romance, i believe this ends on a cliffhanger if I remember correctly.

Targeted? Check. Drugged and captured? Check. Werewolf? Check.

My only thing with this is, I enjoyed the story, because it actually had one, but I'd have been miffed with my kidnapper a lot longer than she was.

Becky was just enjoying a night out with her girlfriends. Not causing trouble, just enjoying a few drinks, when a handsome stranger introduces himself to her.

One prick later... and not the fun kind... she wakes up as the captive of the devilishly handsome Luke.

What Becky doesn't realise is that Luke is a werewolf, and she is his mate.

Busy busy bees

This book was confusing! It started off as a forced love book, then a fated mate book, then a political intrigue.
Either the author was confused about the political structure they themselves created or they just suck at explaining it. It took me a while to figure it out. No thanks to the book.
The love story was secondary to everything else and the main character is an idiot. Especially during the second part of the book, there are so many times she should have said something but stayed quiet.
Entertaining overall.

Horrible writting

I don’t know if this was translated into English and then not checked for mistake or this is just poor writing skills. The idea for the story is good. The execution is abysmal. The way the story is written is horrible, the grammar is horrible. It is poorly planned out. It’s like the barest of efforts were put into the story or perhaps it was written by AI. It is just incredibly bad. I’m giving 2 stars only because the story idea isn’t horrible. I tried to make it to the, but I DNF’d this book at 60%. It is so, so bad.

The Werewolf Fan

This book is an incredible and wonder piece of work. I enjoy the little fact and information about werewolves and I would like to read more. Everytime I read the book I just want to know more. It's very addictive and awesome that I wish it wasn't over. Thank you to the author to write this incredible book. I recommend this book to anyone who likes werewolf and to have a bit of laughs.

I happened to download the Alpha series by Mac Flynn out of curiosity; not knowing that I’ll be hooked after I read the first Alpha Conspiracy book. Personally, I find the books so erotically written especially when wolves desire to find their one true mates, the lust, the markings to ward off other male wolves suitors😀. These furry tales made me search for other similar authors like Nick Charles. And will keep on reading these. Thank Mac.

Not impressed. I found the writing to be quite immature and the story tedious. Becky is drugged and kidnapped by Luke — not a good way to start a great romance, the sex is very boring — wham, bam, then collapse and there is no real chemistry between the characters. Too often I found myself rereading hits to work out what happened, and then wondering why I bothered.

I could not even finish this book. I got to 80 percent and then jumped to the last chapter. This book has little romance and more about the politics of being a werewolf and werewolf law. I only give it 2 stars because the beginning of the book was the most interesting of the book after Becky got kidnapped and her escapes.

Cliffhangers

Although I liked the book, I hate cliffhangers. I really wish authors would let it be known prior to purchase there are cliffhangers. It took too long to get to the point, for a short story, and then didn't really end. I will not be reading or buying anymore of Mac Flynn's books.

I like this story but I felt like I had already read it, I thought there could have been more romance or love between them, in the 2 love scenes there was but overall in the story there wasn’t a lot of chemistry or feelings with each other. I did like there was an actual story not just all romance but it was harder to feel they were together. Overall it was a good book

I really wanted to give this 4 1/2 stars. I did not love to love this book but I still could not put it down, very curious about the ending. I did not love the story line, I guess because I love my werewolves as the good guys, lovers and protectors. Some were and some were not. I will try a different series from this author.

Alpha Initiation

Loved Abby. She was so high maintenance and solved the dirty deeds from the main bad guy. Becky was great trying to get by learning by laws as well as being a werewolves.

I always love reading MacFlynn's book. The storyline in Alpha Initiation was great. I loved the play between the main two characters. Improve grammar check and I would have given it a five. I recommend reading this book.

Different but not as well written as others

The different take on werewolves is intriguing but wasn't detailed enough, left me very confused. Also, the writing was a bit chopping and repetitive in some places. Overall a good story

Shifter?

Can the unsuspecting lady aka.virgin become what the Alpha desires? Mac Flynn has created a shifter world of families and friends in his shifter world. Can't wait to read the next "Alpha's Blood book 2" .
