Wow, this is a prequel!! Are you trying to tell me this assh*le Mmc have a trilogy? 3 whole books of this same behavior?
5 stars for pitch black darkness, unfortunately 1 star for the Mmc.
Once I don't like the Mmc, the whole book will be ruined. It's OK if I don't like the Fmc, but the man has to be likable And it was hard for me to like him in this book.
The good part is I think this author can write very well because for such a short book I was already connected to the fmc, her whole family and her friends. They were emotions behind everything. Probably, that's why this triggered me more than the last dark book I read (red rabbit), which is so weird.
I'm curious to read the trilogy, but he is so annoying and so abusive that I will be shocked if she ends up with him.
This book had me on my seat! It brought you to the very beginning and filled in the blanks. Bennett is such a smartass! I love him beyond words even though I want to punch him at the same time. Aurora had her fire in her and I absolutely love her! This book is not for the faint of heart. Trigger reading is a mist for this book. This is where Aurora's whole life changes. Definitely aust read series if you can!
Oh my goodness! This book is off the hook! It may be a short reed, but that doesn't even matter! A lot of things definitely happen in the book! I can't wait to read the next one!
Why are we not talking about this one more! Rules of Bennett is the prequel novella to the series and I will say, Bennett is PITCH BLACK this is a Mafia Dark Romance with a Pitch Black MMC that so far has no redeemable traits.
This was my first book by Ember Michaels and I will say I enjoyed the plot and setting up for this world of Bennett, quick, simple with minimal spice. Hoping for more spice in the upcoming books. This is heavy on Captor/Captive when Auroras dad traded her life for his but tries to hide to her. Bennett is sent out to retrieve her for his dad and gets to keep her for what he wants to do with her.
Warning this is Pitch Black so it will not be your typical Dark Romance.

This is one of the worst books that I have ever read. It made no sense except the guy was a sick psychopath who hurt women for no reason. Pass this book up there's a lot better ones out there I would give it a minus zero if I could.
Wow! This was just a small taste of Bennett and Aurora's story and I can't wait. He seems like a true psychopath. She's in for one he'll of a bumpy ride. Now to start the next book.
