“Love is composed of a single soul inhabiting two bodies” - Aristotle

Might be obvious but I’m so pumped that Faleena is writing again. I loved this newest installment to the family - and that we got to see the Ciphers again!

Sage is the daughter of Honey Badger, the second-in-command for The Ciphers Motorcycle Club. Though she is not officially a member of the club, as she is family she is under the protection of the club. With her father, and 2 older brothers as members of the club, that protection can become stifling. On a visit into town for art supplies, Sage meets Bear, a local police officer - their attraction is instant. The only problem is - a Cipher can’t date a cop!

I felt so sorry for Sage throughout her fight for independence and her right to love who she wants. Some of the the major things that happened to her in the story wouldn’t have happened if her family wasn’t so strict. I loved Bear - his patience with Sage, but also persistence in getting her family to let them date, it was just wonderful. And the way he worked with the Ciphers in the end to make things right.

I loved reading more about the Ciphers and their interesting lifestyle. I can’t wait for more.

Insta-love

I loved this return to the Cypher world. The artist and the cop. The Ciphers... and a cop. I enjoyed the story so much. I loved seeing all the characters I know and love along with learning about Sage, her relationships with the Ciphers, her parents, and her brothers. I loved learning who she is. I really liked the growth for her, as an almost 30 year old woman, from so naive and sheltered to who she becomes.
The insta-love trope isn't usually my jam. But it is a Cypher tradition. The extras in this book make that very clear, even though most of the stories are more muddled to their conclusion.
The story is engaging and fun, mostly. What's not fun is part of the storyline for all the Cyphers, the things they deal with, and it shouldn't be fun. It is engaging, well written, and I want to reread the entire 29 book series plus bonuses now.

love the series

As always this was such a good book, and a great addition to the series. The only thing is I wish it would have touched on what was mentioned at end of one of the other books. In that book it mentions she announced a pregnancy. I think if I wasn’t in love with the series and didn’t know that little piece it wouldn’t bother me lol. Overall a great read but make sure to read the series so you know the story lines and the characters 🙂

Cipher Love.

This book was so sweet and funny. Sage finally asserted her independence and was rewarded handsomely. Faleena is one of my favorites, if not THE favorite. She can tell a love story that includes not only heat, but also family togetherness and loyalty. I can’t wait for the next one!

5 stars for Cocky Secrets by Faleena Hopkins

Another great read for an amazing series. Love that Sage found Bear. Intriguing and scary storyline. Sage found her calling with a little help of Bear. Bear found a family. Love how the Cyphers always protect their family. Can't wait for the next installment of Cocker Family but also the Cypher Family.
