Gamebreakers #4

Rulebreaker

Rate this book
She’s everything I shouldn’t want.
But that’s never stopped me before.

I didn’t become a billionaire before the age of thirty by playing it safe. I’m a risk-taker…except when it comes to matters of the heart.

Until Lily.

The pop phenom is all legs and curves, with a boisterous laugh and a wicked sense of humor—everything that drives me crazy. She drives me crazy.

But the more we butt heads, the more I crave the sound of her voice…the feel of her body against mine.

Except I’m positive she’s hiding something from me. Something big.

I let someone else keep secrets once—I won’t allow that again.

She’s mine.

And I won’t stop until she knows it.

Rulebreaker is Gamebreakers number four it could be read as a standalone, but you don't want to miss the previous stories.

Kat Mizera and Elise Faber delivered a fun, hot and emotional read, never boring and with a good pace.

Atlas is an able businessman, Lily is a famous singer. They meet thanks to some friends in common, they feels an instant attraction but they are both too busy to start a relationship, perhaps they can have a torrid affair.

I loved Atlas and Lily. They are two workaholics, they prefer to be alone rather than show their weaknesses, but getting to know each other better they open up and, other than the sparks between the sheets, they also find a good complicity and some warm feelings. I liked Atlas, he doesn't control Lily, he knows how talented she is, he always supports her career and he cheers for her.

After that epilogue I am looking forward to what comes next, because these two authors can't leave me like that.

Rulebreaker was such a wonderful story. This series just keeps getting better and better.

Lily is such a spit fire. I just love how much passion she has for her music. She stay true to herself. I love how she brings out the best and some awkward moments of Atlas. Altas is always put together. Trust is hard for him. But when Lily enters his world every is essentially tested. He breaks down the wall with her. He loves and protect every one in his life. So it good to see a different side of him. When you put these two together they just make sense. In the beginning, you see the attraction between them instantly. The chemistry was off the chart when it came to them. I just absolutely love it. And let’s not forget about this amazing friend group who are essentially family. I just love how strong this bond is. And I can’t wait to see how this series ends. That ending was everything and i can’t wait to see how everything will unfold.

Rulebreaker, book five in the Gamebreakers series did not disappoint!
Atlas Delarosa peeked my interest when we met him earlier in the series and the billionaire businessman was so much more than I expected. He and Lily Maxwell, the successful pop star make a perfect couple. They are both driven and successful but they both also realize that there is something missing in their lives. Atlas definitely falls first and works his romantic side to woo Lily until she can’t deny her growing feelings. I loved their journey and the end of this book definitely held a surprise and I can’t wait to see how that plays out in the next story.

This is the fourth book in this impressive series, and this is Lily and Atlas’ story.
Atlas is grumpy, bossy, protective, and a billionaire, risk taker, while Lily is a pop star. These two butt heads at every turn, and the sparks between them is explosive.
This is a well written easy to read story which has found family, friendships, emotions, secrets, trust issues, enemies / lovers, humor, witty banter, touch her an die vibes, revelations, palpable chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining, sweet, and fun, addictive page turner.
I look forward to reading more from these talented authors’ whose work I highly recommend.

Lily is a country turned pop star and Atlas is a ruthless business owner with a soft heart and rough outer shell. Atlas wants Lily and Lily wants Atlas but there is a lot to wade through for these two. Can they overcome and meet in the middle or will the past tear them apart? This was a good quick read. I like that previous characters come in though they are not the star and you don't really have to have read the others to know what is going on but it helps. I recommend this story and I am looking forward to the next.

Just love all the characters in this series.
Atlas and Lily have skirted around each other for a while. 2 magnets that have a tendency to rebuff until they suddenly snap together. 💕

Another great book in this lovely series!

It was so good seeing the gooey center of bossy straightlaced Atlas.

He may be a big bad billionaire but he’s a secret cinnamon roll that gets all adorably flustered when he falls in love, then he gets over the top romantic, then protective. He’s just so perfect!

Lily is a country singer riding the wave all the way to the main stream. She’s a bit lonely, but she’s got a complicated life and secrets and she’s got no time for relationships. But Atlas is not one to give up easily and she finds it’s not so simple to resist him.

This was such a beautiful story about falling in love with the right person.

Of course we love a little blip in the road to forever, but it only makes them stronger.

And that epilogue!!!
I’ll just say that I called it two books ago and I was right! Bring on the next one!

I have received an ARC of this book and this is my voluntary and honest review.

Rulebreaker😍

Rulebreaker is the next book in this fantastic series and follows our mysterious billionaire Atlas and pop star Lily🙌

Let’s just say Atlas has his work cut out for him, because even though the chemistry between him and Lily is tangible, she is a bit more elusive🤔 Once, her secrets are revealed, the reason behind this becomes so much clearer❤️‍🩹

Suffice to say I’m super excited for the next book and the conclusion to this series and I must say, my sneaky suspicion and gut feelings turned out to be right on the money.

Universal

Atlas is normally an always controlled, confident billionaire. But around Lily, the words fall out of his head and he can't focus on anything but her. He's so into her, but she definitely doesn't feel the same. Or does she? Atlas is determined, and when he focuses on showing her why he's the man for her, she simply can't help but let him past her walls. But she's still holding secrets, ones that have the ability to ruin everything they're starting to build.

I honestly don't know how Lily resisted Atlas' swoony chase as long as she did, because if I had all that gorgeousness aimed at me, taking care of me, I'd fall much sooner than she did. But that girl had so much going on, it's understandable she was really leery of letting anyone in, even a sweet, take charge guy like Atlas. I've noticed a theme in this series - the men fall first, and the women take their sweet time letting them work for their hearts. Honestly, that's as it should be, so I can't fault them. I actually love that Atlas chased her so hard and lost his normal smooth talking ways around her. Really the only reason I can't give this 5 stars is because that pesky no/mis communication thing, which is all too common in romance. It was really bad here, and both their faults - Lily's because she kept a big secret, and Atlas' because he refused to let her explain at first. So frustrating! Aside from this, though, I loved Rulebreaker. A sweet billionaire, a sassy, strong pop star - how could I not love them. And then there's that epilogue...DAMN! Now I'm very, very impatiently waiting to see how everything plays out in Oathbreaker.

Rulebreaker is book four in the Gamebreakers series from the talented duo Kat Mizera and Elise Faber. Atlas Delarosa is the last of the guys to find the love of his life and has seen Banks find Aspen, Royal find Jade and Dash find Willow and now wants what they all have. This is a friends to lovers, he falls first romance between a closed off, bossy and grumpy alpha and a sassy singer, who brings out his very protective touch her and die side.

At the end of Dealbreaker we knew he really liked Jade’s friend Lily Maxwell and had offered
to fly her on his private jet to Denver for the next leg of her tour when her flight fell through. This story continues from there and it was funny to see this controlled and powerful billionaire become a bumbling, stuttering mess around her. To him Lily is a beautiful, smart and talented woman who started as a country singer but has now become a hit as a pop star. Atlas is the loyal and steadfast one of the group who is good at fixing things. He’s very independent and keeps his circle of friends small as doesn’t connect well with people due to his past. He has his found family he trusts and takes care of but has to control everything in his life.

Atlas decides his desire for her is something worth exploring if she’ll let him. He wants more with her and Briar tells him to be brave and fight for her because he deserves to be happy. He struggles with Lily being distant but both of them are terrified of falling in love as neither have experienced love before. It turns out that Lily does have a crush on him but thinks it funny how uptight he is. She has a mischievous streak and enjoys teasing him. She isn’t in a position to start a relationship due to her touring commitments but also because she has a secret, one she has kept from everyone. However, she can’t resist kissing him which surprises him.

She has released the beast inside him and they ignite together like never before. She knows she shouldn’t let the relationship go any further but he is so tempting. Jade tries to persuade her to give Atlas a chance but they both live busy lives and with her touring, distance is a regular problem. He is so supportive of her career and so romantic with his gifts and surprises to encourage her to take him seriously and flies to see her whenever he can. He reveals his past to her and the affect it has had on his life. She gets lonely at times and wants him so badly but just can’t find the right time to tell him about her situation. There is drama and angst at the end when her secret is revealed but he shows what a man he is by making everything right after his reaction.

Their romance is sweet and sexy although both carry issues from the past. I loved how all the guys tease him over her and try to give him advice and encourage him to ask her out. However, I got very distracted by the side story about Briar and quickly guessed her secrets. She has appeared in all the previous books as she is Atlas’s assistant and Dash’s sister, plus has a sweet daughter, Frankie, who all the guys adore. Everyone is surprised when she starts dating West, one of Bank’s teammates. The epilogue is all Briar and we get lots of hints ready for the next book. The Oathbreaker is going to be full of surprises and shocks for this found family group.

OK, so I am late to the Mizera/Faber books, even though I have seen them around for a long time.

And since this is the first of their collabs that I have read, I was sure that I was going to be a little bit lost.

Everyone could see how perfect you were for each other, but boy did it take a bit of emotional wrangling for the pair of them to see it.

Once they pulled their fingers out, things really took off.

It wasn't easy, and there was a lot that they had to figure out in their lives to make things work.

And then my big bug bear reared it's ugly head - the miscommunication thing.

Gah, then there was that epilogue - if you are new to the series, or been with it from the start, you are going to really want to get to this epilogue.

It has left me wanting the next book, and eager to go back and read the previous books.

Rulebreaker is book 4 in the Gamebreakers series and follows control freak Atlas as he falls for pop sensation Lily.

Although his life did not start well, Atlas has proven you can succeed no matter what. He is a self made billionaire. While in college, he met up with the rest of the gamebreakers and formed a family of choice. He is the one who always protects those he loves. He runs background checks on everyone close to his family. He stepped up when Willow needed help with her ex. He helped Jade when she needed a good lawyer and crisis management team. He is always there for his family.

Lily started in country music and made the transition to mainstream pop. She is loved by fans, but also secretly by Atlas. She has become one of the family and goes to as many get togethers as she can when she has breaks from touring. But Lily is keeping some major secrets from everyone.

When Atlas finally makes his move, he does not realize he and Lily are not on the same page. Instead, he vows to win her over. Little things he does for her start to make an impact, but she refuses to acknowledge them. Until there comes a point that she cannot ignore him anymore.

From this point on, Atlas goes in to full on woo her mode. And man would I love to be on the receiving end of this. Dang, this man is truly amazing. He listens to her and then plans things that she loves.

Lily's walls are crumbling, but these secrets are eating at her. She needs to tell him. But when? There is no good time to break this kind of news to anyone.

When she finally decides it is time, she tells him them that they need to talk multiple times. Instead he runs over her attempts. But when fate has her way, Atlas is blindsided and Lily is in tears.

Will Atlas come to his senses in time? Will Lily lower those walls she reconstructed? How will all of this play out in the press? How will her fans react?

There is so much I loved about this book but also hated at the same time. The fact that Lily can cause Atlas to run into doors was hilarious. He is a goofball without trying to be one.

I think the thing that I loved, but hated the most was the fact that Atlas needs to solve all problems. It does not matter who has the problem, he needs to fix it. I felt like he never asks if the person wants his help. He just steps in and takes over.

Let me just say, be prepared for the ending. I mean wow!!! My mind knew it was coming and has known for awhile, but to have it actually confirmed just caused my jaw to drop.

RULEBREAKER is the fourth instalment in the contemporary, adult GAMEBREAKERS erotic, romance series focusing on a tight knit group of friends held together but a common loss, co-authored by Kat Mizera and Elise Faber. This is billionaire businessman Atlas Delarosa, and country singer turned pop star Lily Maxwell’s story line. RULEBREAKER can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

NOTE: For followers of the authors, there is a slight cross over with Elise Faber’s EALGES HOCKEY / OAK RIDGE VINEYARD series.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Lily and Atlas) RULEBREAKER follows the building but struggling relationship between our story line couple. Lily Maxwell is at the top of her game, travelling and touring, with little time for a relationship or anything else. Atlas Delarosa is overworked, struggling to keep his head in the proverbial game when all he wants is to claim the woman who refuses to settle down but a woman whose secrets she doesn’t want exposed. While Atlas continues to cross the country in an effort to seduce the woman with whom he is falling in love, Lily refuses to define their relationship in the face of secrets back home.

The world building follows friendships, business dealings, concert tours , back stories, and secrets than threaten the growing love between our story line couple.

The relationship between Lily and Atlas begins as a one-night stand in which Lily ghosted our story line hero.Lily Maxwell doesn’t do relationships, too busy on the road but a deeper secret threatens more than her friendships but the growing love of a man who refuses to listen when the truth is revealed. The $ex scenes are intimate and provocative without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of charismatic and fun secondary and supporting characters including the return of Banks and Aspen, Jade and Royal, Hudson and Willow; Atlas’ PA and friend Briar; Jean-Michel Dubois and Tiffany Hernandez( Eagles Hockey: Oak Ride Vineyard).
RULEBREAKERS is a story of secrets and lies, betrayal and heart break, family and acceptance, forgiveness and love. The character driven premise is captivating, emotional and intriguing; the romance is seductive and passionate; the characters are determined and energetic.

Every woman needs an Atlas Delarosa

The Gamebreaker series from Kat Mizera and Elise Faber has quickly become one of my favourites and book #4, RULEBREAKER, did not disappoint. This friends to lovers, he falls first, protective hero, businessman/musician romance was fast-paced, humourous, emotional, and thoroughly entertaining.

A self- made businessman, Atlas Delarosa likes to be in control, whether it is in the world of business or his private life. All that control disappears every time country star turned pop sensation Lily Maxwell walks into the room. Running into doors, becoming tongue tied and awkward have become "normal" for Atlas when Lily is nearby. He has fallen hard and fast for the sexy singer, the draw to her too hard to resist, but Lily is hesitant to start anything with him, even though that pull draws her to him. She's not willing to enter any permanent relationship, but every time they're apart she misses him more and more. Their chemistry sizzles and their banter is fantastic, and I love that, even though they both have incredibly busy schedules, they make time for each other. Lily has a secret, one which could destroy everything they have built together, will she be able to tell him before he finds out? Will Atlas be able to understand why Lily has kept it from him?

RULEBREAKER was an enjoyable story; it was fun, spicy, emotional, and two wonderful main characters. I enjoyed the chase, watching walls crumble, and hearts opening to true love. Atlas was delicious, to have a man do what he does for Lily is every woman's dream. Yet again the collaboration of Kat Mizera and Elise Faber was seamless, their words bringing laughter, sighing, and one huge gasp! I love that they gave us some more of Briar in this one, learning more about her love for Frankie's father. And that ending .... OMG, I NEED Oathbreaker NOW!!!

What can I say about this great book ? It has two great authors to begin with …Kat Mizera and Elise Faber .Go take a look. Reading this was a labour of love that I instantly knew I was to be sure of getting . It’s hip ,it’s funny ,it’s sunny and hot but the heat is not because of the climate, not the weather it’s more like heavy petting ….. It’s made from his meat and the tsunami waves of pleasure that eventually and not for want of trying sweeps Lily Maxwell and her pearls of treasure off her feet. She’s a star in her own right and Atlas is a grumpy billionaire businessman too busy for the usual cute meet , else he’d be opening those doors that she keeps closing metaphorically and physically. She is trying hard to keep him at bay but she is finding him harder to resist as it is. He’s starting to perspire with the fires of desire for this siren on heat . Well she must be as she has him almost begging at her feet when usually he’s far too much to do than woo. Well when you got chemistry ,what ya gonna do? So there’s a lesson learned . Don’t ignore the yearn in your loins nor the burn purloined by a thief in the night . Full of wanton delights ,full of promise if they get the premise right. She’s a singing sensation ,puts him on the back foot somewhat with the confidence she’s got. She’s hot and he’s feeling out of his depth in the limelight ,out of breath with her performance full stop. Even when she’s in a strop. They both butt heads they do but the chemistry? Phew 😮‍💨 It’s off the charts and when the explosion comes so do the waves . 🫠🥵Sound good? Because it is sublime this story in all its glory and will floor you and soar you to new heights ,this awesome book delights all the senses and it’s a heaven to read indeed . The storyline is divine . The storytelling is mighty compelling ,the characters won’t leave my head and that’s enough said.

After reading this book, my reaction was...wow, that sure was something else. Something fantastic, something innately satisfying, and yes, something shocking. That ending! The final book in the series can't come soon enough.

Banks, Royal, and Dash have all found their true loves, so I'd been so eager to find out how finally the broodiest man of them all - billionaire businessman Atlas Delarosa - was going to find his own. And what a powerful story this had been. I say that because Atlas and Lily's story highlighted what I regard as a critical issue affecting relationships: the keeping of secrets, or perhaps in less deceitful tones, the withholding of key truths about one's past. Their story showed very well all the painful complications and consequences that keeping said truths from one's partner can bring. But the message I loved most from Atlas and Lily's story is the sheer importance of being able to LISTEN to one's partner when the time comes that the truths come out and one is totally blindsided by them. It is in fact during such a time that one must will oneself to rise above the anger and hurt and instead become willing to hear out one's partner so one can finally have all the facts. For it is only when one has all the facts anchored to those truths that one can react appropriately and justifiably. - whether it be with valid rage or calm understanding. This point was perfectly played out in this book, and how I loved it.

Now did I mention that bit about the shocking epilogue? It sure brought out goosebumps all over me, and I can hardly wait for the series finale that's coming in October.

I received a free review copy of this book. I leave this review voluntarily.

Oh. My. God. This is my favorite of the series!!! I have been DYING for Atlas’ book since the start of this series and it DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!! I was screaming and kicking my feet the entire time! Elise Faber and Kat Mizera are one of my favorite writing duos, hands down. And this Gamebreakers series is so phenomenal. Each book is better than the last. The cast of characters they have created and how they weave them into each book is nothing short of amazing. This is book 4, and YES…you can read it as a stand alone…but my opinion? Start from the beginning. It makes each book better, and you get glimpses of the characters throughout…making it even more fun and letting you get to know them even better.

Like I said, this book is Atlas’ and he is our devastatingly handsome, billionaire MMC. Grumpy alpha male who is closed off to everyone except a small, select group of friends that he’s had since college. After watching all of his friends find their person, he’s reluctantly realising that he wants to have someone of his own too. And he knows just who his heart wants.

Lilly is our country music maven turned pop star sweetheart FMC. She is the complete opposite of Atlas and it drives him crazy. In one word, she’s a brat 🤭 and one of her favorite past times is pushing Atlas’ buttons to see how long it takes him to break 😂 These two met and became friends in the last book when Lilly misses her flight and Atlas offers her his private jet to make it to the next leg of her tour. The moment these two met, sparks flied. And Atlas was a fumbling mess…literally…walking into doors and stumbling over his words 🤦🏻‍♀️

Both are super attracted to each other and feel a pull for more, but neither is in the position to start a relationship. Both incredibly busy with work…no time…and walls built up around their hearts that keep them from fully trusting or committing to love. On top of that…Lilly is hiding a BIG secret…one that could ruin everything.

Throughout the book we see them navigate the tension that plagues their friendship. We see them fighting, unsuccessfully, the feelings they have for each other. But when they finally give in?? 🥵🥵🥵 for an uptight alpha male, this man is pure filth…the way he completely worships every inch of Lilly’s body had me SWEATING!!!

Despite the passion and fire in the bedroom, he has a sweet and loving side too. One he reserves just for Lilly. He loves her out loud and proudly. Caring for her, showering her with love and affection. Which makes the 3rd act break up all the more devastating. Once we know what Lilly’s secret is, we know the breakup is coming. But it doesn’t hurt any less.

Thankfully these two are able to work through it and find their way back to each other. But man…I cried fat tears at them being apart. I love them so much and I needed them back together ASAP !!

The entire book is a rollercoaster of emotions…dealing with hidden secrets and broken childhoods. Two guarded hearts navigating life alone until they find each other. All the heartbreak was worth it when they finally get to be together.

Now the ending?!?!! SCREAMING!!! I’m on pins and needles waiting for Oathbreaker!! I’m not ready to say goodbye to these characters just yet, but I literally cannot wait for the next book!!!

Thank you so much to Elise Faber & Kat Mizera for the incredible opportunity to ARC read yet another book in this amazing series! 💙💙

Atlas overcame a tough childhood to become a self made billionaire. While in college, he formed a family with men he considered his brothers. Atlas is the one who always protects those he loves. Atlas is always confident and cool but not when it comes to Lily. With Lily, he is running into walls and stumbling over his words. Lily is a pop phenom who started in country music and crossed over into mainstream music. When Atlas offers Lily a ride on his plane to Denver, they give into their attraction to each other, but Lily ditches Atlas as soon as the plane lands. Atlas refuses to give up. Atlas fills Lily's dressing room full of her favorite flowers. He sends her her favorite chocolates. Lily tries to steer clear of Atlas but finds it harder and harder to deny her attraction to him or their chemistry, but she fears what he will think when he learns her secret. Will Lily tell Atlas her secret before he learns it from someone else? How will Atlas react when he learns Lily's secret? How does Atlas react when he sees a man threatening Lily in her home? Will Lily take Atlas back after her apologizes and explains the whys of the way he is? I loved Rulebreaker by Kat Mizer and Elise Faber! Atlas and Lily are a great couple with amazing chemistry. Who doesn't love a hot billionaire who loves to talk dirty? I loved how Atlas pulled out all the stops while wooing Lily. I loved how Lily was made part of Atlas' family, and they had her back during her most difficult time. OMG! What an ending. I cannot wait for Oathbreaker. I would highly recommend getting Rulebreaker by Kat Mizera and Elise Faber and the other books in the Gamebreakers series. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.

Atlas didn’t start out the best way in his life and some dreams he had, he was not able to reach, but that didn’t stop him. He became a self-made billionaire and was bound and determined to make sure everyone he had in his tight circle would never want for anything. They’ve got a problem, he will fix it; they need a background check, he’ll do it before they ask, the “princess” needs to be looked after not a problem, she has him wrapped around her little finger. There is that one person though that he just can’t seem to catch no matter how hard he tries, Lily, a hit country star turned pop artist. Atlas would do anything for her but as close as they get, the more Lily pushes him away. In her heart she knows he is perfect, someone amazing to have in her life. But in her head, she knows she has to stop, it’s too soon, just a little bit longer and then she will be free to be with Atlas. Can that secret stay secret or will it come out with a thunder and break so many hearts along the way? Will there be another surprise along the way, yes. Will your jaw drop open when you read it, oh HE double hockey sticks YES.

This is the next book in the Gamebreaker series by Kat Mizera and Elise Faber. I love the books that these two ladies write as individuals, but when they work together it is incredible. The way they are able to intertwine the characters of their own books into these and come with these magical storylines that keep a hold of you the whole way through. Cannot wait to see where this will go next.

Thanks to the authors and Wildlife Marketing for an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

My rating is actually 4.5 Stars

Atlas is the ever-present billionaire who comes from nothing and is the ultimate Alpha. But when Lily is around, he turns into a stumbling, walking into walls, bumbling idiot lol Although their friend’s turned family see the attraction, neither Lilly nor Atlas do anything about it – until Lilly has a problem and Atlas is there to offer a solution.

Once that door is open, Atlas is all in. He knows Lilly is meant for him and is willing to do everything to win her over. But Lilly has secrets. She knows Atlas is the one for her and has tried to tell Atlas about her situation repeatedly, but being a celebrity means everything about you is out for public consumption and the media does not care about your needs.

Atlas and Lilly are my favorite couple so far. It is so great to see them finally lean into a relationship. Atlas story is heartbreaking, and I applaud this writing duo for giving us a look at something new when it comes to a storyline regarding an MMC. You can feel him breaking at one point and it hit me in such an unusual way.

These authors have written a great series of characters and stories that keep you totally invested. I want to know everything about these characters for the rest of their lives lol.

So yes – the so-called ending. WTH??????????? Seriously?! Totally has me hook, line, and sinker!! I can not wait!!! Hold on to your hats, this one is going to be a doozy!!!

Get this series and catch up before Oathbreaker comes out!!!

This review is for Rulebreaker, but before you go there, let me say, it will do you good to go back and start at the beginning. This is book 4 in the Gamebreakers series, and it can be read as a stand-alone. It is so good that if you didn’t start at the beginning, I assure you, you WILL be going back. Elise Faber and Kat Mizera continue to merge writing styles even better with each release. And this one is their best…so far.

This is the story of Atlas and Lily. Two people with personalities and styles that you cannot help but love. Yes, he falls first, but don’t fool yourself, she is worth the effort. Both are strong, independent, successful and absolutely loved by friends, fans and family. But both are torn by past incidents and situations. Actually, the entire group continues to endure turmoil (go back and read the prior stories). What makes Atlas and Lily so different is their willingness to look beyond their barriers and allow themselves to make that leap. Thank goodness they do. Oh, don’t be fooled, what is a good story without the angst and the battles. These two definitely have theirs. But in the end we get to enjoy their “fruits of their efforts.”

Our authors have been putting breadcrumbs in our path through this entire series, but in this story, they have started dangling carrots! And then in the end…an actual OMG moment. One that has me chomping at the bit for the last story in this series as I am celebrating the results of this one.

Great job ladies with this story and worth all the stars!

Ms. Faber and Ms. Mizera have given us another spellbinding, entertaining and captivating romance that I could not stop reading. Each book in this series has woven its's itself into my heart. The storylines are brilliantly written and the characters are so easy to love. Rulebreaker gives us friends, found family and a love that started as a simmer but quickly turns into a full boil. The banter, angst, lustful looks and touches had me hooked right from the start.
Rulebreaker is an enemies-to-lovers romance where we are introduced to Atlas, a grumpy billionaire who has harbored secret feelings for Lily, the country singer turned pop star. Time together in his private jet, the feelings start to surface, and the chemistry is stronger than anything you could ever have imagined. The two of them do push one another's buttons but I feel it is a form of foreplay between them. I I loved the interactions between the girls and the way that Lily was just one of them. The guys know exactly how to push Atlas to get him to open up to Lily about his feelings.
I was not, however, prepared for the cliffhanger at the end of the book. How could you do this to your readers! We need the next book now

I have been waiting for Atlas and Lily's story since the epilogue chapter of the previous book, and Elise Faber and Kat Mizera gave me a story that included everything I was hoping for!

Atlas is a grumpy, closed-off billionaire who barely trusts anyone and Lily is a bubbly country/pop star — and he becomes adorably tongue-tied around her. Both of these characters are workaholics, so much of their togetherness takes place in bits and pieces in between her concert dates. I loved how Atlas made the most out of those visits, being Mr. Romantic. They had a very easygoing relationship, supported one another and became the other's landing space, After watching his friends find love, Atlas finally found someone himself... but Lily has a huge secret she's kept buried and it very well may cause their relationship to come skidding to a stop.

There's a HEA to this story, so no worries there. There's a great grand gesture, and these two get the happy ending they deserve!

The Gamebreakers books are all interconnected standalones, but this found family/band of brothers is so worth getting to know by reading all of the individual books. And that teaser in the epilogue for Briar's story! OMG I can't wait!!

I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.

Gamebreakers #4

Lily Maxwell is a country star who has made the very successful transition to pop star in the last six months, with sold out tours across the US.

Atlas Delarosa is a powerful businessman who became a billionaire before he turned thirty. He is focused and all business. In college he played hockey and those friends have become more like family and they have each other's back.

Lily and Atlas have some of these friends in common. Atlas as much as he's powerful and successful, when he gets around Lily he becomes a mess and totally not like his usual self which his friends find funny. She drives him crazy. They butt heads but he just can't stay away from her and the more they are around each other the closer they get, starting to fall in love.

Problem is Lily has a secret that she hasn't told Atlas. She has tried but then it just never seems to be a good time. But one minute, one article is all it takes to tear their world apart.

4 stars
I enjoyed this story. "I think you're worth it" I like how Atlas was there for Lily. But omgosh the epilogue! I can't wait for Oathbreaker!

Elise Faber and Kat Mizera have completely shattered the rules of romance with Rulebreaker, the sizzling fourth installment in the Gamebreakers series. Once again, they’ve struck gold, delivering a story that will keep you hooked from the very first page.

Country singer turned pop star Lily and billionaire Atlas practically leap off the pages with their chemistry, banter, and raw, heart-wrenching moments. Watching self-assured billionaire Atlas turn into a lovestruck, almost teenage version of himself around Lily is both hilarious and utterly charming, giving readers laugh-out-loud moments that perfectly balance the heat.

But it’s not all fun and games—one fateful plane ride changes everything, deepening their connection and intensifying the passion. Just when you think the happily-ever-after is within reach, a secret Lily has kept threatens to turn their world upside down.

Rule breaker is a must-read for anyone who loves fiery chemistry, laugh-out-loud banter, and romance that tugs at your heart. Elise Faber and Kat Mizera have once again proven why the Gamebreakers series is pure romance gold.

This was another enjoyable read in the series but is somewhat overshadowed by that epilogue... No spoilers but it has basically left me desperate for the final book in the series so all I can think about is that! I was already looking forward to it because I love Briar but now I am counting down the days and poor Atlas and Lily deserve more than that.

Anyway, this can be read as a standalone but I think it definitely works better if you've already read the previous books in the series so already know Atlas and can appreciate how he turns into a bumbling idiot whenever he sees Lily or tries to talk to her. That is so funny. Their romance was really sweet and I loved how they took their time getting to know each other. But I kind of hated how Lily wasn't fully honest with Atlas when she knew how important that was to him... I liked how he reacted so honestly but hated how he was beating himself up about it. Dude did not need to do that IMO.

As with the rest of the series this was well written and an easy read. I'm loving this series so hoping there are more collaborations ahead from these two authors.

This has been a fantastic series so far, and this book is no exception. The suave, hot billionaire, Atlas Delarosa is all business, focused and determined, until he meets Lily Maxwell, a very successful singer! In her presence, Atlas turns into a clumsy prepubescent running into walls and doors. This of course makes his "brothers", his found family, laugh because this is so un-Atlas like. But Lily has a secret that she knows she needs to tell Atlas about, but there never seems to be the right time. As Lily and Atlas jet around the country, their love growing stronger, one minute is all it will take to make their world implode!

This is a beautifully written story, written by two of my favorite authors, and it blends so seamlessly that you wouldn't know who wrote which part. The words are rich and warm, wrapping you in blanket of love and friendship and drawing you in until you're completely ensnared. I'm super excited to read Briar's story next and can't wait to see her get her HEA.

The epitome of he falls first ... and in such an adorably awkward way! We've known since day 1 of meeting the Gamebreaker series core crew that Atlas was going to be extra, and man did his story NOT disappoint! Elise Faber and Kat Mizera have woven the perfect college friend group and their plus ones are adding so much to the party. Atlas and Lily are both great characters who each have their own success as a backdrop and them together is a mixture of sweet and sassy combusting on the regular. The characters are fairly well developed, the plot flows smoothly and the happily ever after is sublime. There's a big twist at the end that is going to change everyone's lives .... the final book in this series is coming soon and it's gonna leave a mark!

I highly recommend this book as well as the entire series to anyone who enjoys a group of successful friends who cherish the family they've made with each other through the years and can always be counted on to rally around through the ups and downs of life as one after another finds their true love.

This one didn't sit all that well with me and that's all due to Lilly. I'm not a fan. She was deliberate keeping everyone at arms length and she knew everyone's story but didn't let them in the same way as they did with her. I couldn't understand how when everything blew up in her face, she was the one who was mad and Atlas came (almost) crawling on his knees. He deserved someone better and you can not convince me otherwise.

Now lets talk about Atlas - that man has been a mystery since the series started and i was dying to see how he copes with falling in love. Too bad Lily is the chose one for him, even though i had hopes that she would loosen him up a bit. I kinda hoped that he and Briar would end up together but with the bomb discovery at the end of the book, I'm more than ready to get my hands on that one.

Overall this was not a bad read, I just wished Lily did a little begging and apologizing to Atlas. So with everything written this one is getting a 3.5* read.

I enjoyed Atlas and Lily and watching him fall hard, I just wish there was a little more trust where she was concerned. I understand she had secrets and reasons for keeping those secrets, but she honestly waited way too long to tell him what was going on. When she finally decided to tell him, I don’t feel like she tried hard enough; instead, she nonchalantly let him go about the morning making breakfast. While his reaction was a bit dramatic, I felt bad for him (knowing how open and honest he had been with her) and he was justified in his feelings.

I loved how they both fell a little at a time and opened up to each other. I also enjoyed the interactions with all of the friends. His friends opening his eyes to the truth and his aha moment were fantastic and how he stormed in and took care of a certain person was great. The epilogue was jaw-dropping, even though I had a feeling this was going to be the outcome. I can’t wait for the next book in the series. I received an ARC and this is my honest, voluntary review.
