Dr. Snyder is a marriage counselor with a heavy clientele. With two couples who need more help than the rest, she sends them on a weekend getaway with the promise of bringing them closer.
Fresh has no interest in being at anyone’s creek, especially during Halloween. However, being desperate to get back on the same page with his soon to be wife, Nesha, he obliges. Nesha is down for anything that she thinks will put the spark back in their relationship. Since her fiancé’s return from his hometown in Baltimore, something has been different.
Sean and Essence are keeping their own secrets from one another. Essence’s once small business has exceeded her expectations and keeps her out of town. Sean is excited to get a weekend of his wife’s undivided attention, yet Wildwood and its guests may still be a little too close to home.

With each game forcing them to tell a bigger truth or face a deadly consequence, they will certainly leave closer – If they even leave at all.

Two married couples and plenty of secrets between them leads to their therapist suggesting a weekend getaway, a marriage retreat of sorts to work through their issues. No one could have anticipated how things would play out once they arrived and more secrets than they cared to reveal were exposed. I mean after all, their lives depended on it 🫠
I can’t say I feel bad for anyone in this story! They all played a dangerous game and got burned! The plot twist was completely unexpected and definitely heightened the trust issues I already have 😩😩

Lies lies, and more lies. These two couples had so much deception between them, I simply couldn’t keep up. Just when I thought everything was revealed, another bomb was dropped. Sometimes keeping secrets has detrimental consequences and Dr. Snyder wasted no time making them be held accountable. If you’re looking for a quick fun Halloween read that’s full of mess & drama, pick this one up.

That Dr.Snyder she was truly unhinged at its finest . I thoroughly enjoyed this book, lol. The lies and deceit and a whole lot of mess going on and I never saw that ending coming.

This might be one of the messiest things I’ve ever read and I was so entertained! No one in this book needed to be in a relationship.

Twisted Therapy
🎶🎵You're nothing but a liar, a cheater, a deceiver, heart breaker🎵🎶 That's by Profyle, old school for you youngins.
That was a running theme for these two couples that were doing everything but being honest with their partners. They really didn't know what type of psycho maniac that they were up against. I had to check to see if I was reading Ms. Grant because this was right up her alley.
This wasn't spooky, but it was crazy AF and the plot twist chilllle😳

This book is messy but so good. The two couples in this book did not need to be together. They each were hurting the other in some way with the secrets they were keeping. My least favorite character had to be Essence. She just didn't like her husband and needed to admit that to herself. Now, Dr. Synder, the counselor, is a different kind of crazy. She definitely deserved her karma in the end. This was a good book, and I can't wait to read the rest in this series.

This is a collaboration series by multiple authors and it's Halloween themed. I went in blindly with this new to me author and I was not disappointed 👏🏽👏🏽 I did like Nesha and Fresh together as a couple, yes. At the same time, I appreciated Nesha more as an individual aka her own person.
"It don't sound like no party going on".. That's because you are the party! Lmao y'all are the entertainment. Let's be for real here. You get an invite to a game night, yet you're in this spacious area and the whole time you've only seen one additional person besides those that started the venture with you. Yeah, you are the entertainment. Run.

Okay, who did the vetting for the marriage counselor? Obviously, no one cause sis was cray cray!!
These two couples had more secrets than a lil bit, and allowed this counselor to take them to a cabin in the woods to work things out? 👀 An intervention if you will but honey this psycho had some games for that ass to get to the truth!! That ending blew my damn mind, cause what????? 🤯

Chaotic circumstances
The couples in this story led complicated lives that got them in chaotic circumstances. Luckily, they had a counselor to guide them through the process, lol. This was an entertaining read with unexpected revelations. The truth shall make you free, is the perfect scripture for this book.

a nice switch
This book was short, but it had a beginning, middle and end. I felt like the author did a great job portraying the book as well as explaining details and giving us a well rounded story. If you are looking for a change of pace from the other love stories I would recommend this book.

This book was WILD! Dr. Snyder was 🦇 $$$*!+ crazy frfr! She deserved what happened to her, for playing with people’s lives like that. I’m glad Fresh, Nesha, & Essence did not let that psycho doctor, deter them from their happily ever after. I’m not mad at Sean getting his lick back either.

I don’t even know what to say. When they got presented with the game they were forced to play, I instantly thought of the movie, SAW. These relationships were toxic as hell! It also made me think about how many secrets the average person is hiding from their partner. Good read!

Loved it
Dr. Snyder was a piece of work. I knew someone was going to kill her. She was a psycho therapist. Essence surprised me the most. I am happy for Nesha and Fresh, though. I hope they have a beautiful wedding even though his mother is still messy! Great Read!

Cool read
It was hard getting through the first half because of the way the couples treated each other. I actually enjoyed game night and how it was handled! But the Doc was definitely insane and got what she deserved, lol!
