With help from the New Resistance, Mal and Serenity’s crew are crashing the secret Alliance facility from which River was rescued. She is certain they need to go there—now. Its Serenity so obviously I love it! But in all seriousness its great to see these characters and their stories moving forward while at the same time seeing characters from the past and maybe getting more answers about things like the facility River was at.
I love that they brought the existential bounty hunter back from the tv show, and I love that Caelie got her revenge, and how he ended up. haha. Can't wait to see what happens with the weaponized girls like River.
Too bad. This could have been a lot more. Leaves On The Wind started off with a promising premise, but now the storytelling is too hasty, too sudden and above all, too repetitive. It's fun to see Malcolm trying to pull off another caper, but it's done before - and a lot better at that. This series is still fun to read, but it's not what it could have been.
Another 10 minutes of Firefly. The plot was kind of thin though so it felt more like five. And it didn't quite work as well, just not as believable. And maybe just a little too much fan service. Not bad, just could have used just a little more editing. 3.5 of 5.
After not enjoying issue three of Serenity: Leaves on the Wind, I have to say that I loved issue four so much more! The audience definitely finds out more about the characters and what there plans are to rescue one of their own from the alliance.
This issue is complete with tons of intense action, which is what us Firefly fans expect from anything in the verse. Constant action throughout the issue made this one a page turner. Topping it all of was an excellent cliffhanger that, quite frankly, I did not see coming at all!
This series has had it's ups and downs for me personally for sure throughout every issue but I thoroughly enjoyed this issue. It felt like it could have actually been an episode in the series Firefly, making me love and miss the television show even more but in a very good way!
