As I explained to the author, this book was not for me. I will refrain from rating until the finished copy is available.

100% contemporary romance. Those looking for a hardcore student/teacher romance will not find it here.

**Received an ARC in exchange for an honest review**

I have to say that I really, really enjoyed this book. I love reading books that are about forbidden love, especially those that involved student/teacher. Although we don't get much feeling from this being a very forbidden one because there are not any near misses where they are almost caught. But the whole story line was beautiful in how they fell in love and how they became inseparable since the beginning.

Caleb is a professor at the university that Alexandria attends. They met by chance and even though it took two years for them to run into each other again, their chemistry was not lost from their first meet. They decided to give this a chance and their love blossomed. Alexandria has reservations as to getting too close because she feels like everyone she loves leaves her. She had her parents die on her and then her grandparents so she thinks that if she falls in love with Caleb, he'll eventually leave her too.

Caleb hasn't felt alive in a long time. He's gone through some rough patches in his life and he does have a huge secret he harbors and he knows he has to confess to Alexandria so she won't run from him. When the time comes and he tells her, she gets scared and does leave but just for a short period. She feels like she needs to think and come to terms as to how she'll feel when Caleb leaves and goes back to England.

Little does Alexandria know that Caleb isn't planning on leaving her now or any time soon. He's fallen for her and she's what has brought the light back into his life.

But some uncertain circumstances tears them apart and when they get reunited again, Alex realizes that she loves Caleb and she needs to express it to him and show him how much he means to her.

This book will keep you entertained and the good thing about it is, that it doesn't go on and on and on. It does feel like it could have used some forbidden excitement and some "biting nails" type of monologue, but either way I have to say that I really liked it.

Now moving on to Unravel me as I need to continue reading about Caleb and Alexandria and see what awaits them in England!!

4.5 star read!

Can you imagine one day running into someone and then it changing your life forever??? That is exactly what happens in the case of Alex and Caleb!

This is such a cute story about how two people that bump into each other one day sends their lives on a path they never would have expected.

Caleb has come to America from England to escape his past and the tragic situation that occurred. He is now a professor at a college and happens to finally find a spark one day when he runs into a student and enjoys spending time with her. Although, relationships between students and teachers are completely not accepted. Of course, he isn’t really that much older than his students and could be mistaken as one. I instantly loved Caleb’s character. He had secrets in his closet that he was not willing to reveal right away but later you understand why. The only time I really was frustrated with him was that first night he met Alex in his classroom but after that I really thought he was an awesome male lead!

Alex knows she shouldn’t have a secret relationship with a professor. There is something about Caleb though that draws her in. There is a spark between them and it brings her life and makes her feel. They have so many of the same interest and he would be perfect for her. She keeps herself closed off though because she loses everyone she has ever loved. My heart truly broke for Alex in this regard. I felt bad for all she had lost and understood why she didn’t want to fully give her heart away to anyone. After all she had been through how could she love again????

Right when we think things couldn’t get better we are thrown for a loop…. I thought that this particular character may have something suspicious going on… but I wasn’t 100% positive. It gave the book some excitement and that is all I am going to say because I want to keep it as spoiler free as possible!

So be ready for some love, mystery, and fun! It’s a quick read but will keep you reading from beginning to end. We all got to love those student/teacher romances!

I found Unhinge Me to be a fast paced and quick read for me. Once this book started, I enjoyed it so much I wanted to see where it went. I sat down and read it all in a few hours of kid free time.

Caleb is a British socialite, who moved to the United States to teach. He is a college professor of poetry. I mean, come on, how hot is that?? A beautiful man who can appreciate poetry!
Alex, is all American college student who attends the school where Caleb teaches. Their first meeting is when the two of the bump into each other and they land in mud. The two have an instant spark, that is soon put out when they learn that they are student and processor.
Times goes on, and the two still think of the other one. Then Alex ends up in Caleb's class. These two can not deny the chemistry they have. One after class session leads to more (and when I saw more I mean hot sex). Soon, the couple is sneaking around meeting. This affair is not tawdry at all. It is so intense and beautiful. Caleb and Alex are meant for each other and truly have something special. They try to make the best out of their situation. It will not be long until Alex graduates.
Now, of you thought there was no drama, you could not be more wrong. Caleb has run away from England because of his past and Alex has problems letting people in after everyone in her family has pasted away. She is all alone in the works and has trouble letting people in.
There is a huge surprise twist towards the end of the story that I never even saw coming! It is CRAZY!!!

Overall I enjoyed this story. Who doesn't love a hot English man? If this is Ann Montgomery's debut novel, then we will be hearing great things from her in the future!!

5 Stars!!!

What an AWESOME debut book…I knew from the very first page that I was going to love this book and boy let me just say… that I was not disappointed at all. I could not put this book down. I mean come on who does not love a book that grabs you by the first page and sucks you into the story!?!?!? I know I do!! I received this ARC for my honest review.

I fell in love with Caleb and Alex’s relationship. Caleb being a professor and Alexandria being a student…just knowing that they both know that they should not be together. I found myself rooting for them all the way. The story with these two had some twist and turns that I never saw coming. As I was reading through the twist and turns of the story, I had formed my own theory of where the story was going only to find out that I was so wrong. I was in total shock and saying WTH!!! I love a story that is unpredictable and this one is.

This was another story that I did not want to end. I could read more of Caleb and Alex’s love story….

Ann Montgomery really did a good job on this debut book and I really look forward to reading anything else that she puts out there. I will be adding her name to my list of favorite Authors.

If you are looking for a good book to get wrapped up in for a day…This is the one. This book has the perfect amount of what every good book has. Parts of Unhinged Me made me laugh, cry, and say some bad words out loud while reading….Make sure to add this to your TBR list.

Congrats to Ann Montgomery on such a good debut book!!

This was a quick lovely read. I really enjoyed both Caleb and Alex. When they first meet each other Caleb doesn’t let on that he is a professor even though he suspects that Alex is a student. They share a moment and then she finds out what his profession is.

Flash forward as time passes and Alex finds herself in one of Caleb’s classes. The attraction is too strong to deny and so their love affair starts. I love their relationship and how they finally reach out and grab what they want.

There are some twists and turns that I didn’t see coming, especially the finale. Is it a finale in the book? I don’t think that’s the word I want. Either way, you won’t see who is coming.

In relation to that, there is only one problem I had with the book and that is that with the last bit of drama, how it went down, how did they not get called into the university president’s (or whoever would be in charge of professor/student relations) office. It didn’t detract from the book, it was just one of those things that make me go hmmm.

Fast, fun, little steamy at times read that I really enjoyed!

Thank you so much for my ARC!

I have to say that I really enjoyed this book. It was not too long but long enough and I loved the storyline. Very nicely written by the author.

The story revolves around Alexandria who is a student attending college and Caleb who is a professor who teaches poetry and has come here from England. They meet one day when both are running and collide with each other. Alex has a few choice words for Caleb and Caleb is mesmerized by her and to afraid to say too much. Caleb's helps Alex get settled and he leaves her wondering "how about this guy" bing just like that.

Enter two years later and now Alex is just getting ready to start her final semester at college and as part of degree she must take one final class.....Poetry Reading. Of course you know who the teacher is-Caleb.

Ok so without going into to much they meet up again and the rest well it's good trust me. There is romance, some sex- not over the top but enough and it's written into the story very well, mystery and suspense. I will say that both Caleb and Alex have stories behind them and they come to terms dealing with each's issues together.

Bottom line nice first book from Ann Montgomery hope to see more books from her in the near future.

3.5-4 stars

This book was a quick & easy read with lots in it.
But... There was 2 things that bugged me in this book. & this is just me personally...

The positive:

The writing flowed... Even with all the quotes from poems. I loved the connection Caleb & Alex had right from the start. I felt a little of the whole forbiddeness of them. But.. Not, a lot of it. I guess I wanted the almost caught feeling from them. You don't really get that feeling in this book.

What bugged me:

Although the writing did flow nicely. It felt like it was being narrated.
Like they were being talked about in certain parts of the book.
I guess the best way to describe it is... If you were to be watching a movie... You would see both lives going on while someone talks in the background about things going on in there life's.
That's how I felt in this book. I didn't like that.

& the whole thing with Paul was not really working for me..& kind of came out of left field. I thought that was so random. It took away from my whole teacher/student book..and took this book in a whole different direction.
I didn't like that either..& that's when I started to drop some stars.

I like this book...
I like it enough to recommend it to people...
Because, overall it's a good book.

This is a short lovely story. I really enjoyed Unhinged Me.

Caleb and Alex met by chance but from the start they both knew they couldn't have a relationship. He's a proffesor and she is a student at Georgia's largest University. Two years after their frst encounter, Alex ends up in Caleb's poetry class and they can't denied the atracttion between them even though they both know is wrong.

One night hey can't hold it any longer and give in to their desires.
Their romance is fast, strong and sudden but so perfect. They easily fall into a familiar rutine. They complement each other in a lovely way.

But they know is dangerous and they have to be careful with their meetings. So when Caleb's past catches up to them thins start to complicate.

The characters are very real, easy to relate and believe. The suporting characters from Rachel, Alex's best friend, to the owners of the pub Caleb goes to add a realy nice touch to the story.

While some things didn't feel right by the end of the book and I had some troubles getting into the story at first, the book is an enjoyable read.

Ann Montgomery's debut novel is a nice read for the weekend. :)

Oh how I loved this story! You Have Caleb a yummy Brit who is 28 and a Professor at a college in GA. Then you have Alex a smart, sexy student. Caleb was on Auto-pilot when he literally bumped into Alex... that day he claimed forever changed him. Alex couldn't stop thinking about Caleb , unknowingly in her senior year of college she signed up for Caleb's poetry class. Alex and Caleb are amazing together! Alex is scared because she has lost everyone she loves, she also scared because she has feelings for her professor, which she never thought would happen.. but when you have a Dark haired, blue eyed British man in front of you how could you not ?! Caleb is oh so yummy, Alex is a sexy little thing. You add Rachel(Alex's bff), Graham (Caleb's crazy cousin), a Professor named Paul Edmonton. and you've got one interesting story! These two are amazing together, sex is amazing, and I love this book! I am secretly hoping that there will be a book for Rachel and Graham! ;) I give it 5 stars! ~Chris

ARC provided for an honest review

As I was thrown into the world of Caleb and Alex, I immediately fell in love with the story. The characters are believable and you can feel the love they have for each other.

Since this is part 1 of 2, I expected it to end on a cliffhanger. To my surprise, it didn't. This book was amazing and I'd definitely recommend it.

This story is full of twists and turns, but just enough to keep you guessing. Those are the kinds of books I like. When there is a mystery to solve and when it finally gets revealed, you have a sense of relief of finally figuring it out.

All in all, it was a really good story. I fell in love with Caleb's cousin, Graham and I hope to see more banters between him and Rachael in Unravel me when I do plan on starting immediately. :)

Read this book if you want a sweet and sexy story full of love, and sexy Englishmen ;)

Not Your Average Teacher / Student Read
This book was a great read for me, it is very well written, the plot is intriguing and the characters are made real, like people you know, or would like to know. I was pulled into the story pretty quickly and read it straight through. Thank goodness it's a pretty quick and easy read, or the kids might have been ordering take-out for dinner. I liked that there was a good storyline and just a bit of juicy steam, and the way that Alex and Caleb interact was cute, and the way that they come together is just beautiful. One aspect of the story that adds a bit more spice is the threat of getting caught. I was given a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Wow! That's all I can say. I was blown away by this book. First I thought, based on the blurb, it sounded along the lines of Gabriel's Rapture, but this book blows that one out of the water. Everything about the book was wonderfully balanced from the little details, to the level of heat with the romantic encounters (which will leave you breathless in some parts), and the added suspense. It left me wanting more! I can't wait for the second book to come out.

I love "taboo" stories. and this one is no different.
Chance has them run into each other-literally- three years ago. Fate has them run into each other now when Alex is a sr in college. but the only problem is Caleb is one of her professors. As they try to ignore the attraction to one another, they end up falling for each other. but the walls and turns along the way are hard to look past.
I loved this story and cant wait for the next one

The book was more than expected! I expected another, boarder line raunchy book with a poor plot.
The story line (plot) was a perfect mix of suspense and romance! Once I got into the story it was impossible to put it down. Ann Montgomery has a clear talent for writing!
After reading it I would recommend the story to anyone looking for a good read!
I look forward to future books published by her!

I don't normally read romance, but this was easy to read and the characters were sweet and likeable. Some complained about the situation regarding Paul, but I found there was plenty of foreshadowing of this earlier in the story. I hope there's more of the hints given in the first book in the sequel.

This is a sweet story and at first I wasn't sure about the whole in love with a professor thing because it had been done. This one was sweet and I loved that they both fought their feelings. It had the love story but a little action to it also. Just a nice short read that I really enjoyed.
