A very simple storyline with literally zero to nothing in terms of any conflict. The translation that I read had few inconstancies that made me misunderstand few parts but other than that the story itself was rather sweet. It does not take a serious note as the live adaptation trailer shows but I think the overall tone of the show is somewhat playful even. I would not there is anything special but the prospect of arranged marriage has been a trope that I always liked and this played out very simple. In the end it was more like a simple rom-com more than anything. If I’m being honest I love the second novel which has Daerw and Yi better but as I am still have a bit more left in the story, I shall give a review for that later.
Now I shall patiently wait for the drama adaptation to drop and while I wait for it I want to appreciate the casting. They really did cast suitable characters which is one of the appealing points of the story after all.

☆4.8☆ Que no le haya puesto las 5★ no quiere decir que no sea realmente bueno. Me gusta mucho que la lectura sea rápida, ligera y sin sobrecarga de drama. Si me costó un poco en algunos momentos cuando llenaban de información sobre la vida de los personajes, para mí era un poco pesado leer tanta explicación aveces pero igual era necesario saber esa información.
Pd: las noticias de la serie me tiene emocionada, ya quiero que salga ♡

เปิดเรื่องมาแบบดราม่า แต่ผ่านไปไม่เท่าไรดีกันแล้ว ปมต่างๆ ก็คลายได้อย่างง่ายๆ กลายเป็นว่าอยากอ่านเรื่องเฮียอี้มากกว่า มุกตลกแก๊งเพื่อนก็ดีแต่ลากยาวไปหน่อยและเราเลยวัยที่จะอ่านอะไรแบบนี้แล้วเลยรู้สึกฝืดๆ

Bueno, realmente no entré con muchas expectativas a este libro así que no me defraudó ni tampoco las superó, pero si me ayudó a salir de un bloqueo. Por otro lado, la serie, que hasta este momento lleva ya dos capítulos estrenados, creo ha podido retratar de exelente manera la escencia del libro.

no pues, se estreno la serie me gusto a si que me fui a buscar el libro... estoy gratamente sorprendida porque pensé que seria aburrido, pero no, creo que el libro resalta mucho que el hecho de que 2 personas se amen no basta, si no que debe ver una comunicación entre ellas, para evitar malos entendidos y además que uno no debe buscar la perfección. También hay partes super chistosas, que no para de reír

It's done. And I'm so happy because I read it. Finally.
I wanted to read the novel right after I finished the series, but I couldn't find the translation in English.
Although I enjoyed the series, it left me with a lot of gaps and I hoped that the novel would answer my questions. It did.
What I liked about the book was that there wasn't that much drama. The story between Hia-Lian and Nu-Kuea is simple and sweet. There was communication between them, the lies showed up on their own. They love each other and try to live their love story.
I was going to give it 3*, because it was a fairly simple story, without too many plot twists, but the special chapters made me change my mind. I loved seeing pieces of their lives as the years went by. They made the whole story more real.
Although I thought Hia-Lian was a pervert (sorry, not sorry), I appreciated how he supported Kuea and how he fell in love with every part of his being.
Now I want to read "Naughty Babe", because I couldn't watch all the episodes. Sorry, Max. Sorry, Nat.

Una historia linda y entretenida, pero me fue muy difícil de leer (aunque de loca la abandonaba) ya que había partes de la traducción que simplemente no entendía y me hacían leer el mismo párrafo unas tres veces. Aún así disfrute de la historia, sus personajes me agradaron y me hicieron identificarme mucho con ciertos aspectos de sus vidas.

Though something gets a little lost in translation, which is fair, the story of Lian and Kuea was still interesting to read. If you’ve watched the show - the Kuea you find in these pages is quite a bit different from the Kuea on the screen. Still loveable in my humble opinion, but rougher around the edges. Likewise, Lian is pretty different and actually softer earlier on than his counterpart in the show. If you’re here for the Yi/Diao relationship - I will caution their characters are quite different and I actually didn’t really like them all that much in comparison to the show.

Hablare más a fondo en mi blog sobre el libro pero puedo decir que lo amé!!, la serie de televisión igual me esta encantando y el libro es igual de bueno, a veces es lindo tener un libro donde no sucede tanto drama pero aun así te engancha la historia y la disfrutas, espero poder conseguir el segundo libro para leerlo!!

อ่านงานคุณแบมมานาน แต่หลังจากเรื่องพี่เอ็มก็เว้นวรรคไป ตอนเฮียเหลียนมานี่ อ่านตอนแรกไปแล้วก็พักไว้ก่อน คือกะรอจบ รอไปรอมา เขาปิดเรื่องหนีไป เลยไปอ่านเฮียอี้ เอ๊าค้าง ต้องไปอ่านเฮียเหลียนอีกรอบ สุดท้ายค้างคา..เลยไปซื้อมาอ่านซะ จบเรื่องไป555 ยังคงชอบภาษาคุณแบมค่ะ และการวางคาแรคเตอร์ก็ยังคงเป็นเอกลักษณ์ อ่านเพลินๆแป๊บๆจบ อ่านฮีลตัวเองในวันแย่ๆได้ค่ะ

hermosa historia de amor (BL). Una historia tan dulce y sin nada de toxicidad, sin muchos rodeos, nudos que se desenredaban rápido. si tú quieres una historia de amor todo tranqui esta historia te encantará a demás es una lectura rápida. Pese a que la historia me gustó (sobre todo me está gustando como se esta desarrollando la serie) siento que falto más de desarrollo de los personajes, y faltó también algo de drama, lo sentí un poco plano. A veces necesitamos un clímax donde tal vez se sienta el nudo de la historia y que no se aflojaran tan fácilmente así poder disfrutar el desenlace.
Tal vez la historia inició así, pero se resolvió en un abrir y cerrar de ojos.
La serie esta cambiando algo, a ver a que punto nos llevan. (otra cosa nunca se supo que pasó o en que quedó la relación del padre de Kuea con Hye Lian, si había algo de hostilidad pero nunca llegaron a limar asperezas a se sentaron a resolver diferencias)
Tal vez la historia inició así, pero se resolvió en un abrir y cerrar de ojos.

It was as I expected it, I come with a thought wanting a very easy read with a lot of fluff.
I was a bit intimidated by the number of pages as I just start reading again after years being in slump, and my previous reading are around 100+ pages only. But thankfully i manage to finish this.
This is not that serious but I noticed some part are grammatically incorrect, and it's a little bit bother me.
Also there's this repetitive narrative that being told over and over again, which is unecessary.
Might also point out, some part quite bothers me, from the non consent kiss, to drunk sex to the heteronormativity act... Well, it's often found in a lot of thai bl, but i wish they could fix this soon

Hace 2 días terminé de leer esta hermosa historia de amor (BL). August 23, 2022It’s nice reading this since I really loved the tv series adaptation but tbh if I read this before I watched the series I don’t think I would really like it that much since it has basically no plot.
The TVseries Lian is definitely better since he never kissed Kuea without his consent unlike with the book. Although his perspective was better shown in the novel than in the series so I understood his actions more.
The only thing i liked in the book more is how Kuea actually opened up eventually to Lian in a calm manner instead of turning his wedding proposal down in front of a lot of people.
But the only good effect of that in the series was the endless proposal attempts from both sides and of course we got to see both of them sing Jai ruk, which I really love.

Le hiba a poner 3 estrellas pero la verdad no será justo y es que a pesar de ser una historia sencilla y ligera, la relación entre los protagonistas es muy linda. Sin desarrollar tantas complicaciones el mensaje principal es que no importa cuanto quieras y ames a alguien, si no hay comunicación y no eres tu mismo es una relación, probablemente no funcionará.
La relación de amistad de Nukea y khon diao también es muy bonita, siempre apoyándose y consolandose en las buenas y en las malas.
Espero con ansias la traducción al inglés de Naughty babe.
La recomendaría ampliamente si se busca una lectura ligera sin nada de toxicidad que te dejan una sonrisa de alegría en cada página.

After reading this, I will have to say that I preferred the live adaptation to the novel but I will say one thing: the main point of conflict in their relationship was more nuanced and better presented here. Although Zee and Nunew did a great job portraying the characters in the series, I do wish Nunew had been a little more like Novel! Kuea. I liked reading the novel and comparing what the directors chose to incorporate into the show and what to keep. This novel wasn't too exceptional, but it wasn't a bad read It's perfect if you want something light and entertaining after a heavy read.

This was extremely cute, I actually really preferred the novel to the live action that I found added unnecessary drama. Lol my only thought though was why aren’t these two having a child( surrogacy, adoption) anything is possible otherwise who is gonna continue their lineage and who will they live all that money they working their bones to make. The author better add 2 or4 a children in their future. They can both used the same surrogate that way those kids will at least be biologically half siblings. Hehehe

La historia aquí me gustó mucho más que en la serie, pues se puede entender un poco más a los personajes, no solo a Kuea, sino que también hay un poco más de Hia Lian y de todo lo que oculta y pasa por su mente. También se explica o más bien es más notorio el cómo es la relación de ambos 💕💕💕. Además, Hia Lian es bien descarado y pervertido, jajaja. Lo amo.
Como en todas las novelas tailandesas, estuvo ese término que no me gusta que usen para dirigirse al personaje masculina que desempeña el papel pasivo, pero anyway. La historia y los especiales estuvieron entretenidos y muy cute.

Only reason why I read it because I heard that Lian's reasoning are there...which is true but it's not something "whoa".
Dao and Yin is not like in drama. In drama they had already some scenes together...but we got nothing here expect practically finding out that their relationship is complicated.
No Syn and Nuea. Nuea is only mentioned there less then 10 times. (More like in 2 scenes). Sad they were cute in drama.

The translation I read had some issue, and I overlooked the writing style as that could be due to a cultural or translation issue.
I picked this up after starting the series mostly because I was impatient for the outcome. It's a simple concept, arranged marriage (even if it was done between two males) as children then the inevitable does he actually love me drama. Still I look forward to reading the 2nd story.

Sin duda uno de los mejor libros que he leído este año... No le podría 5/5, le pondría 10000/5. Amo la relación que poco a poco construyeron Kuea y Kirin. Amo las cosas tan hermosas que le dice Kirin a Kuea. Amo las escenas spicy. Y amo todo de este libro, me hizo llorar, gritar, parar de leer porque quería procesar la información y muchas cosas más. ¿Donde consigue a un hombre que ame como Kirin ama a Kuea? 🤧❤️

Este es mi segundo acercamiento a la literatura asiática, y el primero a la tailandesa y me llevé una grata sorpresa con lo abiertos que son en este país respecto a la comunidad LGBT, al saber que fue un libro tendencia en cuanto fue publicado, es muy ligero de leer y además permite conocer una que otra costumbre del país además de despertar la curiosidad del lector sobre la geografía de este país exótico.

Obio que tenía que leer este libro si el otro año se viene la serie.
El libro es bonito y tierno tiene sus momentos de drama, pero nada que sea muy complicado, tampoco hay ningún villano son más que nada malentendidos entre los protagonistas.

Já faz tempo que eu não ficava tão imersa e ansiosa numa leitura. Cutie Pie simplesmente me fez virar noites para terminar de ler, preciso que lancem o físico, quero na minha estante! Lian fez eu me apaixonar por ele irrevogavelmente, Kuea lindo demais e Diao meu neném preciso da novel dele pra ontem!

linda historia
poco drama pero un poco repetitiva en su estructura lineal
puede pasar como lectura rápida pero la traducción que encontré era un poco carente de sentido por partes y eso relentizo mucho la lectura
de todos modos tiene un lindo final
y me quedo con su adaptación a serie que si me gusto mucho.

Vi la serie y me enamore del NuerxSyn, necesitaba saber más y me encontré con la Novela (y descubrí que son 3 libros ). Spoiler... ellos no figuran en la trama\ (T○T)/
Pero le tome más cariño a la serie. El Kuea de la Novela es mejor y Hie Yi es más dramático XD
