Deiondre Warren is a self-made billionaire working as an executive for his own RnB label, Disturbing the Peace Records. He was one of the first pioneers to embrace the change from hard copies to digital downloads and reaped the benefits. He is a tough boss and does everything to support and protect his only daughter from a one night stand, Carolyn.

Aniyah Evans is a woman who never really had a fair shake in life, but things are looking up. Her ex boyfriend, TC, left her with a stack of bills and a goodbye note that read more like a dear Jane letter. After months of taking odd jobs to support herself and her son, LaRon, Aniyah lands a job working at Disturbing the Peace. After an unforeseen turn of events, with his secretary having to leave early for maternity leave, Aniyah is to report directly to Deiondre Warren, the CEO.

When Deiondre and Aniyah meet, he is not in the best of moods and it seems like her career will end as soon as it starts. She can’t stand the man. He’s overbearing, he micromanages everything and insists on things being perfect. As time passes, though, she discovers that the RnB legend may have a softer side after all. A freak summer storm creates a blackout which causes a lockdown of the building and of course panic in the city. Deciding to stay put with their children, the pair decide to wait it out. Will the storm bring them together or will it push them apart?
