Thank you NetGalley and Adams Media for the DRC in exchange for my honest review.
This is the weirdest way I've ever starting writing a review... but stick with me. Lately, I've been seeing squirrels everywhere. Not just random squirrels outside (although I did see an absolutely giant one today and wondered what my neighbors have been feeding it) - but squirrel stickers, squirrel logos, squirrel socks gifted randomly... and I started to think, "what on earth is up with this squirrel narrative going on in my life right now?!".
So, all of that being said, I was absolutely excited to receive a digital copy of this book from the publisher on Netgalley which I requested since I'm a big Mystic Michaela fan to begin with. I've had a couple of different readings with her, and for those who don't trust the "woo woo" things, this can totally just be a cool little coffee table book. For those that lean in, it can be something you consult when you happen to see certain signs in life, or even in dreams.
I liked the sections where she listed out what you can look out for, and that sometimes, for example, a squirrel can simply just be... a squirrel. I enjoyed that it was real, and it has quite a fun list, not just your "normal" examples of signs that I've seen many books contain.
So in my case, I actually didn't look at the table of contents and went in blind, only to find out that my squirrel-ception might have to do with me including more fun in my life, which happens to coincide with me giving two-weeks notice at a spare job and wondering if it was an good choice. It was truly too much for me, and I wasn't leaving any room for myself to have fun - in fact, I was feeling a bit selfish for leaving it behind. Getting to read about this "sign" truly felt warranted in my case, and I can't wait to flip to each symbol as I might see it come up in my life.
One thing I enjoy about Mystic Michaela's books and podcast is that she's *real*. She embraces the spiritual learning, but isn't doom and gloom about it. She doesn't tell you that her path or her ideas for signs are the only ones and promote only her products. It feels like you're talking to a friend - albeit one who may have more connection to the spiritual world than most.
Bottom line... I loved it. Thank you Netgalley for the copy! I look forward to more MM books in the future, and if you don't already listen to her podcast, check it out!
Meaningful signs—I believe they are everywhere. You just have to allow your heart to remain open and be open to seeing them and making the connection.
The Book of Signs is a gentle, soulful invitation to slow down and look deeper into the world around us. With detailed interpretations of 150 everyday signs, Michaela offers both practical and spiritual insights for recognizing and understanding these subtle messages. But more than just a catalog, this book is a reminder to tune in with your intuition and keep your heart open. The guidance within feels comforting, like a whispered conversation between realms.
If you've ever felt a chill at the sound of a bell or paused at a sudden breeze and wondered if it meant something more, The Book of Signs will feel like a homecoming. It’s a powerful companion for anyone seeking meaning, connection, and a little more magic in the everyday.
Many thanks to NetGalley and Adams Media for providing an eARC of The Book of Signs 150 Symbols and Their Spiritual Messages from the Other Side prior to publication.
A list of signs like dragonflies, money, elm trees, etc and what each one means and what you should think about if you see it. I should disclose that I don’t really put much stock in this. Right now in spring I see a lot of ladybugs and pretty soon the violets and then lilacs will bloom. That’s literally what they do every year. If it’s a drought and stressful weather, the lilacs will bloom a small bit in late summer too. I guess if one day a whole lot of random objects showed up with lilacs on them I might take note, but things like seeing feathers often when the area is full of birds doesn’t mean anything spiritual to me. If you’re looking for a basic dictionary of what they are supposed to mean, this seems like a good general one. I didn’t notice any really interesting ones. Most were nature items. There is a short log at the end.
The Book of Signs by Mystic Michaela was an interesting read. I love everything spiritual and I am a firm believer in signs. That being said I still feel like I learned a lot. Some of the signs that were discussed were ones that I experience and already acknowledge but I feel like my eyes are way more open than before and I hope I get to experience more signs from the universe now that my mind is more open. I found this book healing in a lot of ways too, knowing that it really could be my past loved ones trying to connect with me has given me a new perspective. I hope to practice some of the strategies to open myself up more to these signs, and overall I’m really glad I got to read this! Thank you Mystic Michaela, Adams Media, and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this ARC in exchange for an honest review!
So many signs from the other side! I loved that the book listed so many signs and identified their meaning & what to do in response! There were lots of specific animals, birds & flowers included. Some of them were unexpected- like ants & scorpions! Very interesting! Great reference book. Definitely recommend!
Quick read with all different signs and symbols along with some life advice depending on the sign. Some i thought were good others i didn't connect with.
