Taro Sakamoto was once a legendary hit man considered the greatest of all time. Bad guys feared him! Assassins revered him! But then one day he quit, got married, and had a baby. He’s now living the quiet life as the owner of a neighborhood store, but how long can Sakamoto enjoy his days of retirement before his past catches up to him?!

The fight between Gaku and Nagumo ends with Nagumo delivering a knockout blow. Down in the museum’s basement, X confronts the JAA’s chairman while X’s gang takes on Shishiba and Shin on the upper floor! As these battles reach their climaxes, Sakamoto rushes to X—but can he make it there in time?

So freakin awesome! Opens by finishing up my most anticipated fight then rolls into a chaotic battlefield of sick fights. Shin is leveling up like Goku these days lol and he reaches a new height here in another really creative fight. Shishiba is so sick and when Osaragi finally makes her appearance it is in the dopest possible way! Kumanomi and Haruma are really cool antagonists and I still don’t know what is going to come of the X situation! Can’t wait until the next volume!

“Someone I admire trusted me to have their back. That’s the only reason I need to fight.”

description

The energy in this volume is relentless, with every chapter brimming with sharp twists, high-octane fights, and character moments that give the story its heart. What stood out most for me wasn’t just the chaos of the battles but the small touches that add personality. There’s a panel where Shin and Shishiba look like father and son, and I couldn’t help but laugh at how uncanny the resemblance was. On top of that, Osaragi is hilarious every time she shows up, keeping the mood from getting too heavy.

The action is delivered with all the creativity you’d expect from the series. Each clash feels distinct, with clever strategies, unexpected reveals, and fights that refuse to drag. I especially enjoyed the layers added through dialogue and quick shifts in tone, where a joke or a subtle emotional beat cuts through the tension. Even in the middle of brutal combat, the characters’ personalities shine, reminding you that this isn’t just about fighting but also about who these people are at their core.

Another highlight for me was seeing Shishiba’s interactions with Amane, which were surprisingly engaging and added a fresh layer to both characters. The story balances these new dynamics with the characters seamlessly, and it makes the bigger confrontations feel even more rewarding. This volume captures everything I love about Sakamoto Days—fast pacing, striking visuals, and just enough humor to make the emotional weight hit even harder.

Chapter 152:

Chapter 152:

Chapter 153: Are you gonna die too, Nagumo? Why... Why am I still alive?

Chapter 153: By the way, Muto. When are your friends coming?

Chapter 153:

Chapter 153:

Chapter 155: Osaragi's hiding in the bathroom because she saw a ghost.

Chapter 156:

Chapter 156:

Chapter 157: The reason I care about sports is because If I just killed people, it would be unfair.
Unfair?
Take you and me for example. Physical build, athleticism, talent for killing, charisma... The gap is too huge in so many ways. I don't feel good about one-sided slaughter. People have always called me weird but it's my style to fight fairly, within the rules of sports.

Chapter 158: STOP!!!

Chapter 159: I was the first to leave the ring. I lost at sumo.

Chapter 159: Don't grow up to be like that.
Which one?
Both.

Chapter 160:

Chapter 160:

Chapter 160: There's something I need to tell you about your dad. I killed Satoru Yotsumura.

Chapter 161: Are you trying to atone for what you did?
Good question... Hard to say...

Chapter 161:

Chapter 161:

Chapter 161:

Chapter 161: Akao...?

Chapter 161: I'm finished.
Huh? You should eat your celery.
No, Mr.Shishiba, this is art.
What?
It's all about the rhythm. It express a full belly.
Osaragi. don't leave your weapon lying around!
Don't move it. It's art.
That again? How can you call that art? Cut the crap already. That's not art. That you being lazy.
But, If you are an excellent assassin, you can do anything and call it art, right? I'm great. So, it's art.
What makes you think you're so great?
Mr.Shishiba, you're always telling me that a good assassin never leaves behind evidence. So obviously, I'm way better than that guy who did the paintings. I think I'm starting to understand what makes great art.

While this arc might be over the top, I still enjoy the fights. Sakamoto and Shin have to up their game as they struggle to battle against X's group. Shin gets some cool moments to shine as he goes up against Haruma, and he gets a cool level up. Nagumo vs Gaku was pretty cool, but to have it ended offscreen seems a bit of a cop out to be honest. Then Amane and Shishiba against Kumanomi and Carolina Reaper is a great team match-up. A lot happens in this volume, and things are only going to get even crazier with the battles.

(Tranne Nagumo, devo ancora capire come faccia a trasformarsi mi sa)

Now this was great! Nagumo vs Gaku was amazing. It was great to see Gaku go all out after Takamura. The museum turns into a battleground. Shin vs Haruma was also great, I'm really loving Haruma from X's group. Not sure about Kumanomi and Carolina dude yet. Shishiba is super cool and learning more about Yotsumura/Amane was interesting as well. Overall, very good volume. The next one will be even better I assume (from the cover).

This volume continues the battles in the museum as we see more matchups and fun fights. It's interesting to see the Order get involved and get to see them fight with others by their side. It's unclear if this arc will be winding down soon or if we'll see these battles continue in the next couple volumes.

Ugh, I don't know, I guess each and every character in this story (and there are so many characters) gets a page or two. Once again not sure what is going on or who is fighting who (the characters are all looking the same again). So much for the "plan" our gang had, now they are just fighting randomly.

A couple of great fights I love seeing Amane team up with Mr. Shishiba and that they are a pretty good team and I really hope that they don't kill Mr. Shishiba as he is probably my favorite member of the Order. The fight Shin has is also pretty good as it focuses on him trying to learn to adapt without relying on his ESP which is great character development.

A great palate cleanser to reset your mind between the previous and next mental task. It is funny, but not ha-ha funny like Way of the Househusband, it is more subtle. The absolutely over-the-top fight scenes between a convenience store clerk and the hit-men sent to assassinate him are just that.

The action scenes and wide background shots are amazing artwork.

It's been a while since I've last read from this manga, so I was concerned I might have forgotten what was going on. Then I remembered there's no plot or any substance to the writing whatsoever, so it doesn't matter!

People fight.

Osaragi gets a good ENTER moment at the end.
