"Help! I've fallen and I can't get up!" That's exactly what Satoko is going to be saying in the next few volumes. I feel like this installment definitely solidified the fact that Satoko is slowly falling for Shinpei, but will continue to deny it to fulfill her familial obligations. I'm digging this series. Once again, I don't think it will work for anyone, but it's been a great time for me.

Holy...WOW. Satoko was the one who stepped up to deal with her bully, in a VERY dark way. Color me impressed and thinking either Shinpei is rubbing off on her or she has a dark side that doesn't come out often, but is there, waiting to be let loose. They may just be the perfect, if messed up, couple.

This series is just getting better and better! Thought THAT. ENDING. OMG that fight had my heart in my throat, not going to lie. Some suspension of disbelief is needed for it re: the final outcome, but I love this series so much, I don't care.

Warning, this is VERY violent and the main story is currently taking place in a brothel, sooooo....not for middle grade readers, lol. This is very dark, but there is a glimmer of hope and OMG I WANTS MAI BAIBIES TO BE HAPPY!!! (Cue overwhelmed crying emoji here)

4.5 stars, rounding up because the character growth surprised me. (Same may say it is character de-evolution, potato, potahto, hand waveyuum, whatever, YMMV)

5, this series will make you feel all of the feelz, including some surprising ones, stars.

This is definitely one of the best volumes yet for me, so I'm upping my previous rating of 4 stars to 5 stars!
This volume really has it all for me. I love to see Satoko being the badass that I know she is, and taking matters into her own hands. It really inspires me when a character recognizes that they need to get stronger and take care of themself... and then actually step up and do that through their actions. It may sound silly, but it makes me feel like I can do it too.

I love the fight between Aoi and Satoko in this. Even though they've only been friends for a short time, they're so important to each other. I think Satoko did a really good job literally talking her off the ledge by reminding her that just because one dream is over, doesn't mean your life is over. I do think that's really important to keep in mind while you're living your life. Even when things feel like they're completely over and done... there may be things you have no idea about right around the corner. That's why you gotta keep living to see them. I really love that theming and that Aoi got her happy ending.

And of course, this volume gives me the whump and hurt/comfort that I craveeee! So precious! I totally loved it!

And the art is fantastic as always. The standout scene for me was when Shinpei was begging Satoko to come warm him up in the futon again. I kept rereading the pages because the art was so damn cute, I couldn't stand it!

he's just delightfully nuts.

I love him.

RECAP: mean girls try to hurt her but she uno reverse cards them, they attempt to escape prostitute island, attacked, shinpei is hurt and she spends all week reviving him. he wakes, realizes he loves her, and is relentless. a rich guy shows up at the brothel at the end.

This is such a fucked up manga sometimes, but god I love the chemistry between the two leads, and it's kind of sexy, but also super adorable. Lots of good comedy bits between the blood, death, and gore.

Yandere is the way to go for me. I love when they are OBSESSED. She is starting to have true feelings other than fear, which is sweet but also kind of scary. But same same. I liked her growth a lot (standing up for herself and her friendship). Did i forget who the guy is ? Who is he?
