Having read and been freaked out by THE DRIFTING CLASSROOM I naturally started reading this.
At times it's been intriguing...at times frustrating..but this Volume really pays off the reader....with some crazy plot twists and Robin being a creepy *!**!*

I have no words for this book. At every turn I didn’t see what was going to happen. Robin is truly one of the worst people I’ve read about in a while. Shingo is amazing, the way they evolve is so interesting and I love it. Didn’t think Jerusalem would come into the story but hey. The side characters don’t and do fit the vibe. And Marin is just battered over and over and you feel so bad.

But I can’t wait to see what’s happened to Satoru.

Shingo is on a mission to find Marin (his mother) and deliver Satoru’s (his dad) message to her. Somehow Shingo manages to connect to a couple other computers, including a satellite, and acquires all the knowledge.

Meanwhile, Marin is struggling to remember her life before the accident, make sense of the machine speak, and avoid Robin, the creepy teenager trying to get with her when she’s still a literal child.

Somehow there’s hallucinations and world destruction? And now I’m extra confused about what’s going on.

The series has been weird enough to date but this volume was like what the hell? Marin is tripping and Robin is psycho. Shingo is like AI and has mommy issues. I am now afraid to read volume six and see how the insanity continues lol!

We are really getting into some real talk about racism and genocide in this book and a whole country can be blamed for the downfall of the world. Mix that with the absolute creep that is Robin.
