As the robot Monroe grows ever more intelligent and self-aware, so too does his obsession with finding Satoru and Marin, the children who brought him into this world. After a harrowing escape from Japan, Monroe sets sail for England, where Marin is forced into one horrifying situation after another by an obsessive acquaintance as she struggles to reconnect with the memories she has lost.
Having read and been freaked out by THE DRIFTING CLASSROOM I naturally started reading this. At times it's been intriguing...at times frustrating..but this Volume really pays off the reader....with some crazy plot twists and Robin being a creepy *!**!*
I have no words for this book. At every turn I didn’t see what was going to happen. Robin is truly one of the worst people I’ve read about in a while. Shingo is amazing, the way they evolve is so interesting and I love it. Didn’t think Jerusalem would come into the story but hey. The side characters don’t and do fit the vibe. And Marin is just battered over and over and you feel so bad.
But I can’t wait to see what’s happened to Satoru.
3.5 I am very conflicted about this volume, I felt that lot of the decisions that the author made for Martin where unnecessary. I need some time to collect my thought on this volume ...
