Suddenly bestowed with not just great power, but the proportionate speed, strength, and agility of a spider, will Yu find the courage to help others, or fall prey to Spider-Man’s worst enemies?
What a fun twist on our basic New York neighborhood Spiderman tale! I enjoyed this hero-arc where Spiderman finds himself clear across the world learning new customs and techniques alongside a shy school boy. The villain concept was fresh and creative, and I liked Spidey's new powers. Upper elementary and middle school students are going to love this manga.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an eARC!
A great pick for readers of superheroes or manga who might be wanting to branch out and try the other genre/format.
While this looks and feels really young, it's till a really cute and enjoyable read. I adore the art style! Lessons about making friends and learning to trust ourselves can often come of really heavy handed, but I think this one strikes a good balance. I really enjoy how our Spidey Power manifest; art is power!
Great for kids who want to read manga but also love superheroes. Geared towards younger kids but was funny and still had the action you see in superhero graphic novels.
Thank you to NetGalley for an Advanced Readers Copy!
This is super fast-paced and incorporates a lot of villains from Spider-man comics. The illustrations are adorable — characters are drawn in more of a “chibi” style with short arms and legs, large eyes, and overly large heads. This is definitely for younger audiences.
