Once every millennium, the gods assemble to decide if humanity is worthy of its continued existence or if it should be destroyed! When the verdict is destruction, the final battle between the gods and mortal heroes will decide the survival or extinction of the human race—a battle known as Ragnarok!
Hades may be the King of Helheim and one of the gods’ most powerful champions, but his opponent in round seven, Qin Shi Huang, proves to be much more formidable than anyone expected! However, the human champion’s sublime fighting techniques take a surprising toll on him, and victory is not guaranteed. What happened in Qin Shi Huang’s past that made him prefer to fight blindfolded?
I really enjoyed this one. In my review of the previous volume, I said that I had high hopes for the fight between Qin Shi Huang and Hades and I can safely say that I am satisfied. Qin's sad backstory is revealed and I am touched (even though this has become a pattern). I think he is one of the most interesting characters for me and I am really inspired by his backstory and character design (as a writer). Hades, on the other hand, is very similar to Poseidon. So, I would say he is not that interesting, at least not at this moment. For now, however, the fight is interesting and the ending made me curious for more.
Chapter 58: You took my strike head-on and yet you still smile? That truly marks you as a king!
Chapter 58:
Chapter 58:
Chapter 58:
Chapter 58: We can see the stars within you.
Chapter 58: Qin Shi Huang's got a scar right in the same place he hit Hades...!! This is why we don't like to fight with these eyes...
Chapter 59: The boy was the most cursed prince of all time.
Chapter 59: In the year 260 BCE, at the battle of Chang-Ping, the Qin general Ban Qi buried many prisoners of war from Zhao alive. According to the records of the grand historian, they numbered...
Chapter 59: The next year, Zichu, a Qin prince serving as hostage of Zhao, made love with the princess of Zhao, and had a son with her. His name was Ying Zheng, and he would grow up to become Qin Shi Huang. However, his father Zichu fled back to Qin alone in the year 257 BCE. At the age of two, he was abandoned by his father... His mother, lady Zhao, neglected to raise him. Abandoned by his mother... King Zhaoxiang of Qin invaded Zhao, and besieged its capital of Handan. Abandon even by his kingdom...
Chapter 59: Thank you so much for watching my house.
Chapter 59: Zhao kept Ying Zheng as a hostage even after the Qin's siege if Handan. While under tight guard, he became the target of his Zhao peers' hatred. His life was constant torment.
Chapter 59: I am Chun Yan. Your new live-in nursemaid, and bodyguard.
Chapter 59: And so, he had found the first thing he could call a family.
Chapter 59: Thank you very much.
Chapter 59:
Chapter 59: It's just that whenever I see someone get hurt, or have hatred directed my way, scars show up all over my body.
Chapter 59: "Just hurt a little"...? You can barely even stand up!! How come you're toughing it out!? Because the Zhao have every right to hate me. This pain is my punishment.
Chapter 59: Ying Zheng smiled, it was his armor.
Chapter 59: Do you think I'll be forgiven one day?
Chapter 59: Forgiven...? Is this some kind of joke...? Huh...? What the hell are you grinning like an idiot for!? Why don't you get mad!? Why don't you hate them back!? Huh...? You weren't there at Chang-Ping. It wasn't even remotely your foult...!! Your pain isn't justified. So you don't need to suffer through this!! If you want to cry, then cry!! If you fell angry, then get mad!! Just stop denying yourself and hiding your feelings!! I don't care how evil your parents were! Their sins don't pass down to their children!
Chapter 59:
Chapter 59:
Chapter 59: That was the first day in Ying Zheng's life that he expressed his emotions.
Chapter 59: Hao!!
Chapter 59: Don't you dare TOUCH MY SON!!
Chapter 59: I had a son named Chun Ou. He would've been about your age by now. But he died at Chang-Ping, buried alive with the prisoners of war. I didn't want to live anymore and I cursed the Qin bastards who took my son day after day. It was around then They were recruiting a bodyguard for you and I couldn't resist. I just had to see the prince of Qin with my own eyes. I was going to sock you in the face if I didn't like you. I wanted an outlet for my resentment and for the people of my village. But it wasn't long before I stopped caring about that. If a child like you who understands the pain of others were to become king then maybe you could change this messed up world, just like you changed me. Zheng believe in the path before you, and become the best king there ever was.
Chapter 59: There you are, Chun Ou, come closer... Let mama see your face... Okay... Mama...
Chapter 59:
Chapter 59: I hope you watch over me. As I... No... We walk the path before us. Be with us on our journey, Chun Yan.
Chapter 59: I see, so you can feel the pain of others. That's an unfortunate condition. It is precisely because we know the pain of others that we are the greatest king there ever was.
Chapter 59:
Chapter 60: A Promise and an Oath
Chapter 60:
Chapter 60: Speed, power, combat experience. Hades has him beat in all these areas. But that mortal is whittling down his own mind, and sacrificing his very body, just to gain even footing with Hades. I must admit that mortals are unfathomable.
Chapter 60:
Chapter 60:
Chapter 61: Pride of the King of Underworld
Chapter 61:
Chapter 61: I just want to make something that can kill me.
Chapter 61: After all, he's our king.
Chapter 61: I admit it, Qin Shi Huang. You are wothy of being called king. All the more reason that I face you as King of the Underworld.
Chapter 61:
Chapter 61:
Chapter 61:
Chapter 61:
Chapter 61: I will not lose. For I am their brother.
POPKULTUROWY KOCIOŁEK: Tomik ten to nic innego jak kolejny etap dramatycznej rywalizacji między Hadesem, a cesarzem Chin. Hades zasypuje cesarza niszczycielskimi atakami, jednak Qin Shi Huang skutecznie kontratakuje dzięki technice oddechu, destabilizującej energię życiową przeciwnika. To pozwala mu przetrwać nawet najbardziej potężne ataki boskiego wojownika.
the first 5 star one. and i truly believe that. this volume was Perfect. qin shi huangs backstory is tragic (i shed a few tears) and just made me care for this character so much more. i want him to win now so badly. he is the better out of the two and someone who deserves this. HADDES IS STILL HADDES THO ans getting to know a bit more about him was also really fun. and man it’s just the best battle. both of them are going at it and both of them are getting hurt and attacked and shows how even they both are. both of them have a shot at this and both of them are so sassy and cocky and just WOW. and the artwork is the best so far. one again - jaw dropping.

The fight between Hades and Qin Shi Huang continues. It is revealed on why does Qin Shi Huang wears the blindfold. He is the son of a king whose family had buried the Zhao kingdom's people alive. He was Zhao's hostage for 9 years before he moved back. When he sees 👀 anyone suffering then the same scars gets developed on his body. To have less impact of the ways, he was given a blindfold by Chunyan with whom he became happy. They both fight ferociously and no one is the winner yet. It is interesting to watch who will win and only the time will tell.

. . ¿se cumplirán?
An interesting fight so far as we get to learn more about Emperor Qin and while I do not know much about Chinese history it still seems pretty interesting as we get see why he wears the blindfold nad of course it does have a bit of a tragic edge to it.
