About the author

Inio Asano (浅野いにお, Asano Inio) is a Japanese cartoonist. He is known for his character-driven stories and his detailed art-style, making him one of the most influential manga author of his generation.
Asano was born in 1980 and produced his first amateur comics as a teenager. His professional debut happened in 2000 in the pages of the magazine Big Comic Spirits. Since then, he has collaborated with most of the major Japanese magazines of seinen manga (comics for a mature audience). Among Asano's internationally acclaimed works are: the psychological horror Nijigahara Holograph (2003-2005); the drama Solanin (2005-2006); the existentialistic slice-of-life Goodnight Punpun (2007-2013); the erotic A Girl on the Shore (2009-2013); the sci-fi Dead Dead Demon's Dededede Destruction (2014-2022).

Ubeme continues to repair her reputation as a mujina/assassin.

Full of over the edge characters..mature sexual shenanigans it's probably no surprise it's from the creator of GOODNIGHT PUNPUN amongst other works.

It's a little too edgy at times, like it's trying so hard to shock the reader. And I don't feel amy connection to the main characters, I just don't care what happe s to them. The art style looks really good, it's a distinct style, and looks great in the action scenes. But other than that, there isn't much here.

Tras 400 páginas, a Asano se le ve metiendo más carnaza que en DDDD, en ocasiones de manera muy gratuita. Además le cuesta hacer funcionar las relaciones entre los personajes en un escenario tan directo como la acción que pone en él. Lo que mejor me ha funcionado han sido los dos capítulos que cuentan la caída en la condición de Mujina de una joven.

The art style is starting to throw me off. Almost every character has this… frog face and it’s hard to tell what the character is feeling from the art alone. Tenko always has the hyena smirk on her face. Ubume always looks like she’s daring you to call her out for a silent fart.

And again with the focus on sex. It just makes the story feel… filthy. Like it gives enough bad vibes when you take into account that two mujina were hired to literally fight to the death because two Big Pharmacy companies couldn’t come to an agreement.

Este segundo volumen de Mujina into the Deep profundiza aún más en el mundo que ha creado Inio Asano, expandiendo su universo con nuevos personajes y adversarios intrigantes. 🌊⚡

El dibujo sigue siendo espectacular y la lectura fluye de manera ágil, pero aún espero que la historia termine de engancharme del todo. Sin duda, Asano siempre sabe sorprender, así que estoy expectante por lo que vendrá en el próximo tomo.

La premisa de partida se establece de forma poco creíble, al igual que el resto de acontecimientos que ocurren en los primeros dos volúmenes de esta serie. Dicho esto, el estilo gráfico de Asano es de tan alto nivel que basta mirar sus páginas para que valga la pena comprarse la serie.

inio Asano se supera en cada una de sus historias. Ahora mete temas de corrupción, control social, distopía, prostitución en una trama llena de humor negro, llena de violencia y supervivencia. De las historias más agresivas que le he leído a este autor.

I like this series so far, but this is the weakest long-form Inio Asano series I've read. Though I guess it's probably hard for anyone to strike gold 3 times.
