I really enjoyed this volume I so glad this volume focuses more on their relationship as it's actually cute but also funny so looking forward for next volume.
The second volume of my favorite series. It's always difficult to improve on the first volume, but Sensei has a lot of talent for drawing, creating plots and showing how the relationship is progressing.
In this volume, Nin Nin has moments of being quite jealous, because the women in the company are after Hikaru. Here I see insecurity.
Also Hikaru feels insecure after he doesn't see Nin Nin in the company, he thinks he avoids him, but Nin Nin is sick. Hikaru feels bad because he has neither his phone number nor his address. The twins are there to help.
Waiting for the third volume, who knows when it will come out.
I will never understand why the title of the manga is in Spanish, when it is a French publisher and of course all the manga is translated into French.
Despite the positive conclusion of the first volume, the question of whether they're "in a relationship" is still up in the air for now. They're exclusive, in a quiet "kinda talked about it but not in a Big Feelings" way, but they still don't know a lot about each other, beyond how well they fit together physically.
With that in mind, Hikaru asks Shinobu out on a date, then gets excited planning an "epic" night, with a hard-to-get reservation at a fancy hotel's skyline restaurant.
Shinobu, having no idea the hotel pamphlet has to do with his date, bluntly says that he has very little interest in fancy fusses like that. Hurt, Hikaru leaves the bar, and leaves the bar's staff to explain to Shinobu what he'd done wrong.
The thing I like so much about this couple is the time they spend dwelling on each other's feelings as well as their own actions. In this case, Shinobu did hurt Hikaru's feelings, and eventually takes concrete steps to make up for it - but Hikaru is also aware that he plunged ahead with his own assumptions about A Perfect Date instead of trying to plan something specific to what Shinobu might actually enjoy.
They're learning about each other, a bit slowly, but they're both doing their best, and the love growing between them is so incredibly palpable. It's an absolute pleasure to read.
The only thing I didn't like about this volume is that I have to wait for the third, but I do think this is on a much better trajectory than Niyama's other work. It's fantastic relationship development with an interesting cast of characters around them.
Ugh so good. I loved that this focused more on their emotional relationship. I do wish the dinner date was longer and I hope we get more dates in the next volume. I really enjoyed this and I can't wait to read more.
Ahhh! So cute! I really enjoyed this volume. Not only was it full of spice, but Shinobu and Hikaru are actually getting to know each other and develop feelings. I like that their relationship isn’t just all physical now. Super excited for the next volume to come out!
I didn't expect a sequel but I actually liked this better than vol1!
To be fair to vol1, there's nothing I particularly disliked about it. Even without getting further into what makes Hikaru or Shinobu tick, I found it enjoyable and the characters interesting.
But vol2 does get deeper into Hikaru's and Shinobu's minds, especially as they settle into this relationship where nothing had been particularly set up. Hikaru has so far only been in relationships with women while Shinobu is an extremely private person. Having them navigate their feelings for and find out more about each other is really nice.
In vol2 we have Hikaru finding out things about Shinobu and wanting to respect his privacy except ... Well, a couple of their co-workers saw them together in the company trip and suddenly there's gossip going around that Hikaru the company ace sleeps with guys to get ahead in business (yeah their imaginations really went wilf with just one photo of two men talking 😂).
Also, the way Niyama draws bodies though 👍👍
Since this is vol2 instead of 中 or 下 I'm guessing we'll have more than 3 volumes in the future? I look forward to it! ☺️
I’m so glad this volume turned out to be better than the first.
When I unexpectedly found out this was written by the same author of My Dear Patrolman, about 50% into the first volume, I was thrilled. That series might not be my favourite but it’s one I’ve revisited a lot over the years, I was excited to potentially find another one.
But the first volume felt like any other BLs with a cocky fckboy and another mc that’s unnecessarily a pushover when it came to the fckboy, with some angst thrown in at the end. I felt ambiguous about it.
But then I read this volume and it got so much better. The two people felt developed and thought-out. I love how much Hikaru wears his heart on his sleeve and says what he feels even if he’s shy or reluctant about it. We see Shinobu sacrificing his need for privacy in the workplace just to save Hikaru’s reputation. This volume progressed their relationship and feelings naturally but also in a very efficient and serious, deeper way.
Niyama has a way of making relationships more realistic and not over the top and I love that. Hikaru and Shinobu are getting closer to each other and beginning to learn the insecurities each of them have while also figuring out their feelings for one another. Hikaru is the most insecure of them but that just makes him more endearing to Shinobu. A company outing almost exposes their relationship but Shinobu jumps in to save Hikaru from the rumors that might actually ruin his work reputation. They care about each other enough that both do not care if they are exposed at work but Shinobu just couldn’t let Hikaru take a fall like that and I feel it strengthens their relationship more. I hope they can come to a realization of what they feel and tell each other in the next volume.

In the second volume, Shinobu and Hikaru up their relationship from carnal to something deeper. They go on a date and Hikaru even tries to take care of Shinobu when he falls ill. The men discover they are very different, but they learn a lot about each other too. They’re keeping their relationship, and Shinobu’s identity, from their coworkers, both for their own reasons. But a company trip threatens their secrets.
This was a good follow-up that deepened the story, with a lot of spice. It’s not a happily ever after yet though, so I hope there will be more.
I received a free copy from Edelweiss in exchange for an honest review.
This is literally one of the best BLs I’ve read this year. The art style is absolutely gorgeous, Niyama has really come into their own over the course of this and My Dearest Patrolman and it’s lovely to see. The characters are so charming, each with their own unique insecurities that we get to see gradually revealed to one another and it feels so natural. The way Shinobu discusses his choice to stay ‘in the closet’ is really insightful and Hikaru’s concern over protecting his identity is just so heartwarming. Coupled with really beautifully panelled and executed sex scenes I honestly couldn’t recommend this more. I usually hate office romances! Maybe I just hate manhwa office romances….
Our couple is catching feelings and slowly growing closer. I really enjoyed the vulnerability both showed in this volume and thought their protective views of the other was adorable.
Shinobu’s reasoning for hiding his true persona is very valid and Hikaru respecting that was nice. Yet, he did have to reveal himself for the sake of saving Hikaru’s reputation. I’m truly hoping for a reveal in the next volume, on their terms. Their coworkers are freaking weirdos and nobodies for what they did.

This was another win for me. I still need to read my copies of this mangaka’s other series but I think it’s safe to say they are one of my favourites. I really like the art style and the spicy scenes are 🥵 but additionally I’m really enjoying how these two navigate their developing relationships. Volume two was a good one for how they are finding their rhythm in the dating realm especially since they work at the same office and have to keep their relationship on the down low.
I liked this volume much more than the first volume. This volume we actually seen development with both of our leads and their relationship. As well as them both sharing things with each other. I thought it was so cute that both were willing to make the sacrifice to make easier for the other. Their relationship is starting to become a favorite of mine in the BLs that I read.
miscommunication makes me crazy sometimes, but theres was not really that bad. they are both just not great at talking about themselves or their feelings and its clear they both want the other person to like them but dont know how to go about it or say it.
this turned out really sweet tbh.
and i'm gonna be impatient waiting for vol 3

Niyama does such a good job of balancing fluffy moments with sexy ones, while still keeping up a coherent plot line. Shinobu and Hikaru have grown a lot closer by the end of this volume, and they are freaking adorable together. I can't wait for the next volume.

In this volume, they get closer emotionally, not to the point of declarations, but finding common ground, learning how to communicate and deal with conflict. Loved how they handled the work trip and ensuing fallout.
I love Niyama’s art style and comedy so much, even though it’s hilarious, it’s also tender and sweet and cute and SO hot. I love watching these two grow together.
