Yoshihiro Togashi (冨樫義博) is a manga artist. Credited in Chinese translations as Fu Jian Yi Bo.
He began drawing manga at an early age; while he attended college, the publisher Shueisha recognized his talent. Togashi has authored numerous manga series in different genres during the past three decades. He is perhaps best known for writing and illustrating the YuYu Hakusho and Hunter × Hunter series, both of which have been published in the popular Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine. Togashi is married to Naoko Takeuchi, the author of Sailor Moon.
Picking up where the last volume of Hunter × Hunter left off, our main protagonist, Gon Freecss, is currently in the fourth phase of the Hunter Exam, where he and the remaining examinees must spend one week on Zevil Island and can only pass with six points if they can retain their own badges whilst obtaining each other’s. As Gon hopes to grab hold of Hisoka’s badge, the deceitful and narcissistic magician sets his sights on Gon’s newly found friends Kurapika and Leorio who have formed an alliance.
I love that I can finally read this series, it's been great so far. I didn't think we'd go from one combat tournament to another one, but its kinda par for the course for shounen manga. Still can't convince me that Leorio is supposed to be 19, are you kidding? That's a middle-aged man if I've ever seen one.
I loved the Hunter x Hunter anime, so diving into the next chunk of the manga was obviously a good time.
I really enjoyed seeing the rest of the Hunter Exam play out on the page, even knowing the outcome. Killua is still my favorite character, but Hisoka is a very close second. Getting more of Hisoka in his element at Heaven’s Arena was especially fun, and I’m very excited to continue on with the manga story.
