This book is the outcome of the author's long association with the American Peace Corps in training the volunteers and in the preparation of teaching materials. This is intended to serve as a guide both for the teacher and the learner. It is meant to help the non-Kannada speaker to grasp not only the structure of the language and use it as a tool of communication on matters of day-yo-day requirement but also to know the cultural peculiarities of the Kannada speaking people. It also renders guidance in learning the writing system. The entire contents of this book can be used in an intensive course of two months in a general education program. This can forma a text book for a course of one academic year of two semesters.
Not well structured. Hardly any better than the other books and Internet resources out there. One would think that having 40 million speakers and a big immigrant community that Kannada would have better learning resources.
