Who knew loving non-con was a thing and who knew I'd be so into it.

There's not too much to say about this. I do think that it's better than the first installment. If only because we don't spend so much time with Jamie being miserable and don't meet Noh until much later. I like how we learned more about Noh, I like how we saw Jamie happy and thriving, and I like how we're entering a dub-con situation but that's mostly because I have problems. I thought this was great and if you're looking for something different in the world of dark MM romance, this is definitely for you.

Oh my. This was everything I wanted. And a great continuation of The Monster Beneath: an MM Monster Novella.
It is true that it is much shorter than the first book but a much-needed extension of the first novella. We finally get to the action 👀 and some very fun and kinky bits. Noh's curiosity and need to take care of his mate's needs... amazing.

I cannot wait to read the next novella. Noh is such a sweetheart that I cannot wait to see how he shows himself to Jamie. Hopefully!

As usual, D. Dove does good dark erotica. I liked this one more than the first part, even when it was shorter. The development between the monster and the main character was as expected, and the added element of MC getting horny over the "nightmares" he's having is nice. Can't wait until the next one!

The story is getting more depraved, and neither of them even grasped the situation they're in.

Jamie still has no idea that his “dreams” are real, and Noh doesn't realize that he's not in a consensual and sweet relationship with his mate.

I suppose the book is dark when you take the noncon aspect into account, but it feels a bit weird to categorize it as such since Noh basically sees what's happening through rose-tinted glasses. It is kind of twisted but didn't really feel like it when I read it
