It’s not always about the win. Sometimes it’s about the hot laps you learn from. He’s rarely taken seriously … she’s never taken seriously. Casten Riley is living his life the way most kinds only dream. Working for the family business, he’s never had much to worry about. And, if he did, he’s not the type to worry. He’s adorable as some would say, sharp, witty, and never shy. He’s a ladies man just looking for fun. Casten has the kind of heart that make you feel more than you ever thought possible … just by being him. And then a girl happens. That’s when Hayden Harris, a new employee at CST Engines, comes crashing into his life. The two are introduced and immediately find ways to tease each other. She’s full of spark, humor, and is the only girl who can make him blush. Hayden and Casten quickly become friends and find their attraction for each other is anything but playful. Casten won’t admit Hayden has a hold on him and Hayden doesn’t want to admit Casten Riley has pegged her red line. But the sparks that are generated by their connection is not what these two are expecting.

So Shey Stahl has popped back up publishing another book when she was busted plagiarizing in nearly every book she wrote? Wow. That's brave and stupid. And before any of her fangirls go crazy claiming it's all rumors or negativity or *gasp* bullying, read this:
Or you can read the side-by-side comparison I prepared for the cease and desist letter I sent her. These are passages from her book Everything Changes and my fan fiction, The Art Teacher:
If she'd EVER speak directly to any of us she stole from, admit to what she did and make some kind of freaking apology for it, I'd be happy to go away. I'm tired of chasing her around the internet. But she won't deal with any of us and blocks us on all social media platforms, all the while getting fans and book bloggers to promote her books again. I'll just keep reminding people of what she did until she faces it.
Hey, so SUPER CLEVER, Shey, posting a second profile of this book, like I wouldn't find it. Funny, all the one-star reviews calling you out for plagiarism are over on the OTHER profile while this one is full of nothing but glowing 5-star reviews, either from your deluded fangirls or you under sock accounts. Anyway... Here I am to say the exact same thing.....

Shey Stahl could've been a successful writer, had she not messed up with the wrong fandom. By stealing from fanfiction writers, and shamelessly call it coincidences, Shey Stahl is no better that a corner store thief.
Don't support a writer that has build her fanbase on lies.
I have personally read every alleged plagiarism post as well as all Shey Stahls books. If you run the fan fic. through as plagiarism comparison program as well as Shey stahls books it comes up as no intentional plagiarism. I have seen some of the post of the books they the writers are saying were stolen works and I hate to be the one to point this out but.... I have read hundreds of books that are very similar and in some cases have similar characters and even some of the same lines.
I think that far to much of this is being made and that with todays internet and the ability to manipulate the data present in innumerable way I believe that letting the work deal with themselves and just to point out she has written numerous books in a single series how would she go about plagiarizing thousands of pages of works from other authors without any legal repercussions and if you take a single line and note it as a palsied book you are not taking into account the other 100 000 thousand or so words that would make up a full length novel.....
Move on people..... or show me all the books in there complete format written by another author if not and you can only find a few sentences. Well I can show you that in multiple authors in numerous series.
As for this book I loved it and would give it a 5/5 and can not wait for the rest of the series to come out I enjoyed the bookd when I first read them and even more now.
This book is plagiarized... And everyone should know that. Stahl is wronging all of those authors she stole from while degrading herself in the process. How she continues to garner readers is beyond me.
I found out that this was available, and I about died. The racing series has been a 'go-to' book when I'm in a book slump. I have seriously fallen in love with the Riley Clan, and eagerly await books in this series. I read Delayed Penalty, but it just didn't hit the spot that the Racing on the Edge series did.
Casten Riley has always seemed to me to be a real, I guess what you'd call it, "Fuck-up" and "Party Boy." However, in this book he's really stepped up, and become someone to respect and admire.
Yes, there was the constant drinking and screwing around that there were in previous books, however, although it does continue to happen, it does take a background in the story where the real stuff starts pouring in.
Casten Riley met Hayden when he was younger. He pushed her off a swing, and she retaliates. He's loved her ever since. Hayden starts working for the Riley Racing team as a glorified receptionist, and begins her love affair with Casten.

I love baby books!! This baby, however, has a special place in my heart since my own child is named Gray. And let me tell you, she could have been explaining my own Gray when she wrote about her Gray. We chose the name Gray because we didn't know whether it was a girl or a boy, as did Casten and Hayden.
Over all, I've loved this series. I do hope she continues to write them.
I have missed the Riley racing family more than I realized and Casten's story was an absolute joy. He and Hayden alternated between melting me, making me laugh until I had tears running down my face, wanting to slap one of them and swooning all over again. They are two halves of a whole who see and find the fun in life, finding a love they never expected as they negotiate the unexpected right turns that turn their dirt track into a road course. (If you have read the rest of the series or follow car racing, this will make sense- for racing newbies, essentially life threw them a curveball or two. )
I loved that we got to see pretty much all of the folks we know and love from the first five books too. Jameson and Sway bring a lot of love and fun to the story, Tommy spreads his own brand of mayhem, and the special bond Nancy shares with Casten is showcased in a lovely way just to mention a little. Thank you Ms. Stahl for a wonderful new installment in the ROTE series!
Ignore the haters writing multiple reviews due to something that happened to another book. This is an awesome book. I can understand why people get mad about "stealing books". For the Summer was my least favorite book written by Shey Stahl. I see similarities from all the blogs. But I can similarities from all authors.
Racing on The Edge series is one of my Favorite Series. Shey Stahl writes these characters in a way where I want to be a part of their family. This book was kept true to her writing on this series. I was nervous that I have read about Casten growing up and not sure how I would feel reading about his sex life. Shey Stahl did not make me feel "Pervy" which is a true talent. I am looking forward to the next book!
omg omg omg this is a great book. it is so good its like you can see casten there shaking his butt and singing. I have laughed so hard at casten and hayden my family thought I lost my mind. They story is so filled with love it makes me jealous my husband dont treat me that good. I cant wait to read as many books about the rileys as shey can write. she makes you have all emotions laugh, cry, mad, happy in a book its like the book was writing about you your family or ftiends. you experience ever detail of the books she has written. like getting snake bit, waking up floating its like that really happened to you. shey is one of the most talented writers ive seen in a while
Shey! Another great read! I really missed the entire Racing on the Edge family and was so excited when I saw Hot Laps was released! You did not disappoint! Caston has continued to be the most entertaining of the Riley kids and I loved how the book showed a glimpse into the lives of the entire clan! I have to admit it took me a few chapters to enjoy Hayden. I mean Sway is a hard act to follow but eventually she won me over!
Thank you so much for continuing this series! I'm so excited for the next book! Stay strong and stay true!
Loved this book & series. I laughed so hard sometimes that I had tears in my eyes. I can't wait for more. I know that there are two more books coming but I am so hoping that the cousins, especially the twins & Cole get their own books. I am so glad that Shey continued writing & didn't give up because her true fans & supporters would have missed out on some great stories. I will continue to read any book that she publishes because she is one of my favorite authors.
Shey.. you did great on this! I laughed, I cried, and I just wanted to hug that boy! I'm so glad he found someone that will be his match in about everything he will do! Casten was too good of a guy to put up with alot of dram. Plus he just seems like a guy who wouldn't put up with it! Again, fantastic job again on story on the family we hold so close to our hearts!
Love This SERIES. I am so happy that we get more of the RILEY Family. Casten is so free spirted, funny and Loving. This book had me laughing, Crying, and more in Love with this family. I can't wait to get more. You don't have to be inlove with Racing to love this series. But Racing will grow on you reading this.
another Shey masterpiece! that Riley family is THE FREAKING BOMB! <3 the pranks and the dry humor and most of all, Shey ALWAYS keeping it real! The racing terms and such are a blast and I think theyd keep me all hot and bothered too, LOVE going to races :)
The Riley family is BACK! Oh I have missed Shey and her writing! I laughed so hard during this book. I have said once and I will say it again. I want to be a RILEY! I love this series and can't wait for more!!
