Erin is on her way to her new job in a physiotherapy clinic, when in the elevator she meets Monica. They knew each other in high school, in a different part of the US. When the elevator power cuts out, they are stranded there together for some time, and so they discuss their lives, and their joint past. This is the story of the next year for them, how they get together and how they overcome their problems.
This is a gentle story, with a little angst. It does however have a couple of homophobic scenes and a physical assault. The characters are not very deep, and it’s not great writing, with a few editing errors, but it’s worth reading.

Erin is just starting her new job.
But she gets stuck in an elevator, with her high school crush!
Monica Anderson is head of a tech firm and someone Erin always lusted after.
The feelings definitely seem to be mutual too!
But as they start to fall for each other they start to realise they have many other work and life commitments as well.
Then Erin has to deal with a tricky client at work and things go badly wrong when allegations are made and their relationship also threatens Monica's career too.
Can this new relationship cope with and survive all the things that's thrown at them?
This was a lovely work based second chance romance.

This is excellent a great read,  definitely 5 stars as not able to give more. 

There is a fantastic storyline (and its sad that it's very realistic in todays society) but the whole book is wonderful. 

Will Monica's work her company cost how does Steph cope with all she has to face there are so many angles to this novel and you won't be left hanging well through the read but the answers come.

I think the story line and the way the characters are so real to life makes this a read not to miss.

This was a wonderful and unique sapphic romance. The chance meeting in the elevator of former volleyball teammates on Erin's first day as a PA at a sports medicine clinic with her former crush, Morgan. The elevator fails, stranding the two alone for an extended time together, allowing them to catch up on the years since high school, culminating in an impromptu kiss as the doors are finally opened.

The two both show some mature and supportive behavior through the early parts of their relationship as they navigate some hurdles that could derail both of their careers. Things aren't perfect, and mistakes are made, but the way those are handled help make this such a wonderful book.
