Leah was at her arranged marriage where her parents decided who she should marry. They had planned her life for as long as she could remember. Now her future mother-in-law was telling her how her fiance, Chris, likes things. Her dress and make-up had been someone's decision. With her heels changed to sneakers, she was driving away as far as she could go. Her car took her to a dirt road and quit; as she looked at her engine and not know what is wrong--the rain starts. She sees a light and slowly makes her way there. Ryan opens to a young woman in a drenched wedding dress and looking cold. A bride all alone? Where's the groom? Leah tells him as she drinks tea; she tells her fiance didn't cheat, that she didn't pick him. An 'arranged marriage' in today's era? Will Ryan and Leah develop something between them? What happens when Chris shows up weeks later?.

What I liked- I liked how complete they were together. And how he immediately accepted her as part of his life. And I loved it when she compared him to the man on the front of a certain brand of paper towel.
What I didn’t- I have questions. He stated that he doesn’t have a trust fund and he seems to do chores all day. Yet he bought her a violin. Where did he get the money?.

This was a cute insta love story. It was a quick read for me which is great when you don’t want to get into a big series. The FMC is running from a life she never wanted and felt pressured by her parents to have. The MMC lives in a reclusive mountain cabin. When her car breaks down she walks to the nearest house which happens to be his. He opens his doors to try and help her and they instantly hit it off. He becomes her biggest cheerleader and protector in discovering herself away from the pressure of her parents. The MMC seems like such a gentleman. I wish I got to see more of their relationship develop but I’m not mad at what I got.

I love these short stories from Ivy. I look forward to each of her new books. I enjoy the break from the longer novels.

Ryan is a grumpy mountain man living by himself. Leah is a runaway bride and her car breaks down near his cabin. They have an instant attraction to each other. They also believe that fate brought them together.

Will her family/financee look for her? Will they show up demanding her return? Will Ryan and Leah ever get passed the nerves that is keeping them quiet? Will they have their HEA? Let's finish reading to find out!

Ryan is an older Mountain man recluse. He enjoys his life alone but realizes something is missing.
Leah is a run away bride. She realizes that her parents have controlled all aspects of her life. Even choosing the man she should marry.
When her car breaks down she knocks on Ryan’s door.
Ryan realizes that Leah is what is missing in his life. How can he convince her to stay when he has little to offer her.
I love how Leah finally realized her life was being controlled and took a stand for herself.
Ryan is such an alpha protector.

Sweet and Intense

Leah finds her way to Ryan's cabin in the woods after her car broke down while running from her wedding. Their short story was nicely written and sweet. These two had intense chemistry that added to this delightful read.

If you love grumpy protective alphas with a heart of gold and innocent women always doing what's right this book is for you. Ryan and Leah are an unlikely pair but are perfect for each other. This is a quick instalove story that works because you will connect with the characters.
