I absolutely loved this! Healing the Cowboy is part of the Christmas Ridge Series but can be read as a standalone. We follow Nora St. James who returns home to find her father's gambling problem has resulted in a detrimental future to the family ranch. With the weight of family responsibilities on her shoulders, she is set firm on keeping life together, leaving little room for romance. Enter in Clint Taylor, her charming best friend who works on his family's farm and is determined to win her heart. We start the book with him being ready to confess his feelings for her but things happen and those feelings don't get told just yet. Clint gets injured and Nora, as a nurse, takes care of him and we see their dynamic build, showcasing the tension between friendship and romance shift, as Nora grapples with her feelings while tending to his injury.
The setting of Redemption Ridge provides a cozy, festive backdrop in Colorado - y'all know that's bound to be a BEAUTIFUL setting at Christmas time!
As always, Mandi does a great job showing us what Nora is going through and her journey toward opening her heart. The faith content - perfect, as always. I LOVED Clint and seeing how much he loved her and wanted to share his feelings with her was chef's kiss! Also loved his support through the struggles she had with her Mom and Dad. This is exactly the type of Christmas book I love to read during the holidays. Highly recommend!

Ya’ll this was the perfect read for this time of the year. This is a Christmas book but it also included Thanksgiving which I loved!
This book centers around Clint and Nora.
Nora comes home from being away as a traveling nurse for 8 months only to find out she is about to be homeless because her father’s gambling addiction has gotten out of hand with her gone. Clint works on his family farm and has been there for Nora since they were young and he secretly wants more with Nora but is too scared to ruin their friendship in the process.
Ya’ll I am just a Mandi Blake super fan at this point! Her books are just so good! She just knows how to write a good cozy Christian romance! The way she just naturally weaves faith into her books is just amazing! I absolutely loved Clint he was such a sweet cinnamon roll MMC and I just loved how he was there for Nora through all the tough times she was going through and she was there for him during his recovery also! And the way they kept God at the center of their relationship was beautiful! If you want a cozy romance book that is gonna give some smiles and all the feel good swoony romance this is the book for you and the perfect book to transition from fall into Christmas!!

A low angst but still deep Christmasy Christian romance!
Clint and Nora were so sweet and I loved how patient he was with her through all of her trials. He put her first even when it was hard and it was clear that was just who he was.
The faith element was solid throughout the book and I loved the heartfelt prayers the characters prayed. It was also great seeing Jordan and Alicia from last years story play a part in this years.
I love Mandi Blake and how she writes! The perfect balance of romance, friendship, found family, and faith!

Mandi Blake can write the trope I dislike and make me love it.
This is the perfect example.
Nora and Clint have been best friends for forever. When Nora comes back to town she has a whole bunch of mess to deal with.
I love that Clint is steady the whole time. He doesn't downplay his faults, and he proves that he's trying to be better. Similarly, Nora has issues that she works through too.
The steadyness of their relationship and how it blooms and grows was beautiful. Yes there was pining but the situations they went through proved their relationship and helped them grow so much.
Oh man. I just loved it.

Clint & Nora’s story is Coming October 23rd!
I really enjoyed this book! Clint is a man in love with his best friend. Nora is very tense all the time. She comes across not friendly but really is a caring, nurturing person. She takes care of Clint whenever he gets hurt and he also takes care of her.. a lot! He would move all of heaven & earth just to be with her. I loved the found family in this book and all the faith themes throughout. Clint is a cowboy and there is something about those cowboys, am I right? 🤣🤠 Nora never stood a chance! I have to add that the mistletoe kiss was sooo sweet! Thank you, Mandi for this book! I am so thankful for Authors like YOU! 🤍

Clint sticks by her side and with his love and devotion and loyal friendship, she starts to see Clint as more.
One of my favorite things about Mandi’s books is her ability to show how family sticks together. When things get tough, that’s when the family grows closer. It reminds me so much of my family that her books hook me from the very beginning. Faith is also such a big part of that.

A sweet Christmas romance with all the trimmings.
I enjoyed Clint and Nora's best-friends-to-more romance, where our "cinnamon roll hero" fell hard for his friend years before. In between the Christmas decorating, the local barn dance and a Mistletoe kiss, there are some heavier themes Clint and Nora deal with each day.
I appreciated the strong faith element of this romance and the journey these characters navigated, both alone and together.
Redemption Ridge is a wonderful place, and as Clint and Nora walk through each challenge and struggle, they are never alone because of their family and friends... friends who also have individual stories in this book series.
A sweet romance with some swoony kisses, a few tough/awkward moments, and the overwhelming sense of God's permeating love. 😍

Perfect for Christmas!
‘Healing the Cowboy’ was so sweet. I loved Clint and Nora’s friends to more romance. Clint has loved Nora for years, but was always afraid to ruin their friendship. It took Nora a bit longer to realize she loved Clint.
It wasn’t until Nora’s life was crumbling around her that she realized how Clint has always been there for her and never expected anything in return. She thought he was flighty and too impulsive.
Clint is such a sweetie and a shameless flirt when it comes to Nora. I love how protective he was of her and how he was quick to jump in and support her no matter what. It didn’t take him long to prove to Nora that he loved her.
I loved getting to spend time with the Taylor family again and cannot wait for the next book of theirs.

Nora never imagined coming home would be so hard; her world as she knew it was crumbling and falling apart. The one bright spot….Clint, her best friend. But God was just making room for her new dream. As Clint heals from his injury, Nora helps him stay sane and she starts to see him as more than her best friend. There are some heartaches and trials along the way, but they get their HEA.
This series is worth reading and re-reading. Always clean and uplifting, focused on God and family. The romance is gentle and sweet. I enjoyed the story. I received a complimentary copy and these are my voluntary and honest opinions. I was not required to leave a positive review.

Loved Clint and Nora's story!! Clint has loved Nora for years, but hasn't told her as he didn't want to lose her as his best friend. Nora missed Clint while she was in TX, and now that she's home, she sees him in a different light. She just knows she can't lose him as her best friend. When Nora feels that everything around her is falling apart, Clint's there for her, and when he has an accident, she realizes that she loves him. Nora has to work on seeing herself as God and Clint see her, and also needs to forgive those who have hurt her. As their relationship changes, Nora realizes she can always count on God and Clint to be there for her. Love how Clint shows Nora his love for her by his actions and his words!

This author is one of my favorites in Christian romance. You feel so drawn into her stories as if you are right there with the characters. This is a story about Clint and Nora who have been best friends in a small town. Clint works on his family’s ranch and does woodworking on the side with his dad. Nora is a nurse who is finally coming home after being away for several months. Clint has finally decided that he is going to tell her that he would like more than friendship with her but things keep getting in the way. Nora is very independent and wants to take care of everything herself but begins to lean on Clint for help as well as with his family. When Clint gets hurt and she is helping him, she realizes that she feels more than friendship but is afraid to ruin their relationship. Awesome story!

Clint and Nora's story is so cute! We met both of them last in Dreaming of Forever and saw them again in Marrying the Billboard Cowboy, but neither appearances of these scratched the surface of who they are.
There are so many cute scenes (this is so Nora is safe!!!), wonderful moments of family (I'm not sure I can wait until next year for Caroline's story) and a wonderful love story. I would 10/10 recommend, and I would make sure to read the books I mentioned earlier as they really set up Healing the Cowboy!

Such a great book! Clint is pretty much the best book boyfriend ever! Nora and Clint are best friends and have been for so many years. They are both afraid to change things and possibly lose the relationship that they already have. Plus, Nora has one problem after another and considers her life too messed up for a relationship. One of my favorite parts in the book is this: He pressed a kiss to her hair and whispered, "But you're my mess." The author did such a good job of portraying both characters with all of their feelings and concerns that they both seemed so real to me.

Mandi has again worked her magic of words, to make our hearts rise and fall with each new scene making us a part of the story, making us desire the hopeful outcome of each finding love that was right in front of them. Nora as a traveling nurse has been gone for the past eight and a half months, trying to earn enough to finish paying bills and putting all money away except the barest amount to live on so she can put money down on a home. Clint has finally realized that he truly is in love with her. Nora's father while she was away fell into old habits loosing thier home and possessions to gambling. Clint steps in like a true shinning knight to rescue the family that he has loved since being a child. Mandi has again worked her magic of words, to make our hearts rise and fall with each new scene making us a part of the story. This is a definite five star book.

A beautiful story with some fun lighthearted moments. Clint’s love and devotion is beautiful and inspiring. Nora’s reservations are entirely understandable but had me cheering for her change of heart the whole time. The Taylor’s are such a wonderful & inspirational family. Though we are not ranchers, they certainly give me something to aspire to with my own family.
In another note, I really hope we get to hear more about Dom sometime and that Caroline gets her own HEA soon.

Clint was so funny throughout this book. I loved all the jokes and comments he made. Nora took me a minute to get on board with because we are complete opposites. She does do a major character growth by the end.

Nora and Clint are such a sweet friends to more romance. I loved their friendship and how they are always there for each other no matter the trial. Both of them had difficulties to go through in this novel but you really saw their love for each other bloom during those trials, ultimately making them stronger.
I also enjoyed the Taylor family and the rest of the Redemption Ridge Community. The small town feel and community is truely unique and I loved seeing everyone rally behind Nora and Clint throughout their trials.
Mandi also portrayed their faith in such a beautiful way. I love that Nora and Clint kept that foundation and used it to build their relationship. All in all, a very sweet story and I will not be surprised if I soon find myself back in Redemption Ridge for more!

Nora & Clint are the perfect friends to more love story. Their friendship is so natural that a romantic connection comes so easily & ends up being a whirlwind romance. The details in this story were so well done, I could picture perfectly where they were at in each scene.
While I now wish I had read the previous books in this multi-author series, it easily reads as a stand alone.

Healing the Cowboy is a Christian, friends to more, small town, heartwarming romance. Clint was so patient with Nora, loved her, wanted her safe, and wanted her happy. Nora was so determined to be independent. I loved watching Nora and Clint as they worked their way to an HEA. I could not put this well written book down and finished it in just a few hours.

A lovely read to add to this multi author series. A cowboy, his best friend, and some threads of angst swirl in this sweet Christian romance. There were soooo many good quotable things in this book with our hero and his tender heart towards Nora and the lessons on forgiveness. Our hero gets injured and Nurse Nora comes out. I didn’t want to put this book away. I read it inside, outside, hanging at a stoplight (just kidding, but it was on my mind). The story just flowed and I adored all the sweetness.

Nora St. James returns from her 8-month traveling nurse job to live with her dad on their ranch in Redemption Ridge. Clint Taylor, her lifelong BFF picks her up at the airport and they start their 2 day trip home. They stop to stay at a hotel with only Nora's reservation to be had...one bed in the room. Clint plans to reveal his feelings for Nora but has to wait due to their sharing a bed before reaching Redemption Ridge. Nora arrives and has to face her home being taken away due to her dad's gambling debts. The two BFF's face their problems and dilemmas along the way. Easy reading story and filled with hope and love.

Nora is a traveling nurse. She’s been gone for about eight months. When she returns home, she’s discovered her dad has lost everything due to gambling addiction. The ranch, the cattle, the equipment, the horses except for.Ash, her horse. He also owes 10,000 to a loanshark. Needless to say, Nora is devastated by the loss of the only home she’s known. Clint, is Nora‘s best friend. He’s been there for her for years. North thinks of him as a friend, Clint thinks of Nora has more than a friend.
This is a good clean book. No ugly words or ugly scenes. I highly recommend this book.
