By LT Ryan and DR Suess. Totally forgettable, boring, low level
OMG, it's hard to believe this is an LT Ryan book. This is either an author who has run out of ideas, depends on his co-writer too much, or very, very low grade AI. The plot is muddled, so predictable and confusing. Apart from the excruciating, copious and OMG boring details regarding, this tunnel, that tunnel, the other tunnel, the blocked tunnel, the hidden tunnel....this reads more like a high school story submission. I expected to see Nancy Drew, the hardy boys or Scooby Doo make a cameo. The tunnel is totally dark but Mandy can run through them from hours spent reading the maps. Please! Mandy has figured out how the mysterious levers work. First of all, how did she figure this out in a dark tunnel and how about an explanation. Technology changes in mid sentence. Once a text message was received in the tunnel which mysteriously had cell service and then suddenly they were talking about open channels being monitored. Past novels by LT Ryan have been the type you don't want to end. Not this one. I could not wait for the ridiculous conclusion to finally arrive. The only reason I finished it is because I am/was a LT Ryan and Bear fan. I found myself skipping pages because of the predictably boring monotonous prose. Gone are the days of nail biting suspense. I have read three of the latest novels from LT, with other characters, Nobel, Savage, Quinn and now Bear and Mandy. They have all been a total disappointment. Every previous book has Bear and Mandy trying to avoid trouble. Now..at the conclusion of #6 they are going to the Vatican to right these wrongs! Please oh please!! Reality check! It is clear, either LT has lost his edge or is trying to sell more books. He set the bar insurmountably high early in the quality of his work. It's disappointing to see the level his finished work has become now. If he has run out of ideas, maybe it's time to meet Bear and Mandy's demise. A total waste of time.
Bear and Mandy are on vacation in Italy. Bear decided to take Mandy to San Gimignano for her sixteenth birthday. While there Mandy met twins, Sofia and Lorenzo, who told her a story about a missing girl, Lucia Moretti, from Vatican City about thirteen years ago. Mandy decided she wanted to solve this mystery and started asking questions which the town did not like. L. T. Ryan K.M. take the reader through a web of lies, distrust, and secrets to find out what is really going on. You must read this book to find the answer the question. Happy reading! ☺️
Nothing is calm for very long with Bear and Mandy-even while on vacation. Mandy makes friends with a set of twins who take her into tunnels filled with artifacts. Needless to say, she discovers a secret operation and the story of a young woman who has been missing for years. She and Bear work together to assist a small town where most members had snubbed them in trying to locate Lucia and to prevent Rossi from destroying everything. Another great story by LT Ryan!
Bear and Mandy are on vacation, but as usual danger finds them in a city with underground tunnels filled with treasures. Guns, knives, explosions are just some of the items involved in their vacation that keeps their from being a vacation. Non-stop action that they are going to need another vacation from, that is if they live through this vacation !!
I knew before I picked it up, the book would be great. Thus is the first time I remember Mandy being so involved. But she did a great job. Why wouldn't she, she has the best trainer. This setting was unusual also. I liked the setting it was in. Don't know of its a real place but I think it could be. Twists and turns from the first page. Mandy can be irritating because of her impulsivity, but that's to be expected.
I love Bear and Mandy stories as much as I love the Jack Noble series. Somehow Mr. Ryan has created the perfect duo in these two, and although Bear might not make everyone's list of parent of the year, L.T. makes him seem so, especially in Mandy's eyes. I think that's his strength, making his character's seem so real, you're always on the edge of your seat praying they survive. Nice writing, L.T.
Bear and Mandy are vacationing in Italy, reach a small town San Giorammandi, and fall into a big mystery. Also big cavernous tunnels. They are shunned by the townspeople for an unknown reason. But, the townspeople decide they need to trust Bear and Mandy when evil comes to town. ENJOY!
This book is filled with suspense, mystery, and a compelling story looking for answers. Mandy and her father are taking a long overdue vacation until they find themselves in the middle of a power struggle. Their fighting skills keep them alive but barely.
Another great book in this series. Once you start it you won’t want to put it down. The characters are great and very believable. The story starts fairly fast and only gives the reader occasional breaks in the action. As with most series this series should be read in order. The book finishes leaving the reader looking for more and I can’t wait for the next book.
So exciting throughout! I love Bear and Mandy. They can take a beautiful birthday celebration trip and turn it into blood and art theft and intrigue! Ancient artifacts beneath a quiet little town lead to a crazy, wild and fun adventure. Those tunnels held such mystery. And it's not over! I am looking forward to what comes next!
Excellent as usual, couldn't put the book down his writing takes you to another place ,my wife (jan) loves reading bear and Mandy so I know who will be reading it next
Looked forward to reading the next book in the series. It did not disappoint. A real page turner. The lead characters stayed true to their previous personalities
This one is filled with all kinds of excitement and history. It was a little confusing about how the operation works, but that wasn’t important enough to worry about. Enjoy another Bear &Mandy story.
This was a very good book, I enjoyed it from beginning to end. It was exciting and full of action and especially exciting too. I love the characters and especially the character Bianchi and the twins.
It's time to leave the States and do some major traveling. But no matter where they go,they are always in the thick of it. They either find trouble or it finds them. And it looks like they are going to continue to look for it in their new book.
This was a very creative mystery. I liked using Italy as a location. There were lots of unique elements at play. I like Bear & Nancy's relationship, as well as her growing maturity.
This was an absolute excellent in the Bear and Mandy story. Just being on vacation they discover a story of subsurface. Excellent plot and story line. 10 stars 🌟 plus!!!!!!! Thanks Carl Clause
My least favorite of the series. Whereas 1-5 felt like Bear fell into a problem or a problem directly affected him, this one felt like he/they went looking for a problem to stick their noses into. The fact that it was in another country actually made the book worse and the first five.
Bear and Mandy once again are involved with mysterious events that quickly become volatile. As usual, they rise to the top of events and come to the rescue of the local people. Lots of mystery, violence, and camaraderie.
