Escaping Lucifer is suspenseful and a page turning fantasy romance. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time I was reading this book. The story is fabulously written, well balanced and beautifully executed by Katherine West. She continues to showcase what a phenomenal author she is with each book I’ve read by her thus far. Escaping Lucifer follows the story of Cera and Jessan. I absolutely loved learning about who these two characters were as the main characters of this story. I loved seeing their story come to life throughout the book. The chemistry between Cera and Jessan is absolutely fascinating and undeniably irresistible. I would absolutely recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a new fantasy romance to read.

I felt a little less like I could just pick this book up, without having read previous books, than I had with the previous book, Deceiving Apollo. We had previously been introduced to Cera and Jessan so we knew a little of their background. It was exciting to see their journey to discovering their life together as mates. As Cera had previously been trying her best to deny their connection. There was a lot of emotion to sift thru.
I was a little confused by the switching back and forth between human names and goddess names for some of the characters. I was still mostly able to follow along. This is why I gave it 4 stars.

This was a great story. It was a steamy page turner and the suspense was intense and insane. I was on the verge of my seat and I couldn’t even put it down at all. She was kidnapped by him but he had other plans for her in his world of madness. He was going to make her his lover no matter what but something has overcome him soul. Could his heart open up to love and romance . Cera was a God and he wanted to protected her at nonstop. She never feel like she was going to fallen in love with him in this moment it was hard as they were fighting the urges and the temptation between with the chemistry they had for one another.
I definitely recommend this book and you won’t be disappointed.

As a huge fan of the House of the Gods series, I'm always happy to accept an ARC copy from Katherine West.
I'm so glad that this story was written. I really never thought that Cera and Jessan would go anywhere, but this was the absolute perfect way to do it! I honestly believe that this was the only possible way for them to end up together. And, as usual, I ended up crying a couple of times… And the end blew my freaking mind!
Although these books can all be read as standalones, I seriously recommend reading the entire series!

Cera & Jessan
Another wonderful addition to this series. Cera goes through good and then bad, there is quite a bit of up then down. Unexpected betrayal, lost memories, torture, no one to trust for some time. Then I realized that there are elements from a previous book that gave me more information, which was helpful. I will be waiting at the cliff for what is next. I Loved It!!! No Spoilers!! I recommend!.

To me this book made me cry a lot. Cera, daughter of Artemis is fighting against Baelor, also known as Lucifer/Satan after he did the unthinkable to her and she is pregnant. Cassandra and the rest of the Star Wolves are helping Cera in her fight to free more women, from things that they are going thru. Jessan, the Guardian paired mate to Cera, although she has denied it since the beginning because she fears her feelings and what happened with Baelor since her bio father promised her to Baelor from her birth. Knowing that Cera didn’t want to be bound to Baelor, Cassandra shoots her. Then, Cera ends up in the underworld and she doesn’t remember much of before, Baelor semi tortures her. Jessan figures out a way to save Cera and puts his life on the line for her. I cried, laughed, freaked out, chewed on my nails and punched my pillow while muttering curses. I also squeed a few times. The things that happened in this book was mind blowing and I forgot two mega facts from book 1. You’ll figure it out. A lot of heart breaking stuff happens in the book- betrayal and a bunch of weird stuff. The fight scenes are awesome and the bad guys. Whoa. Omg. They are terrifying. We also get to see Charon, and Hades, as well as a few others.
Cera being insecure in the book shattered me. She is a powerful being and if she felt this way. Just wow. IT made me rethink a lot of things. The cliffhanger ending upset me. I can’t wait to find out what happens next.

Escaping Lucifer Book 4 House of the Gods by Katherine West is an exciting continuation of the series. The emotion, drama and danger the characters go through is so heart felt. This is not a standalone book you must read in order to experience the books properly.

Finally get watch Cera fall for and connect with her mate. But not without a lot of drama and danger as Cera and Jessan must survive to get to the end of the story. A bit dark, a lot steamy and cool characters to enjoy and the story unfolds.

This was an entertaining read - a space opera mixed with a pantheon of God and goddesses thrown into the mix. Gritty, action packed and full of emotions with one hell of a cliff hanger.
Highly recommended.

In ‘Escaping Lucifer’ we get some happy surprises, endings, and uh-ohs for leads from previous House of the Gods series books. Loved most of it—except that very last bit. Not my favorite trope…gotta read it to find out
