I know I've been using films as a reference for this series, so I might as well continue with that analogy.
Salt, Atomic Bomb, Charlie's Angels, Spy, Wonder Woman and Underworld are all femme fatale, strong female characters. Barrett is the epitome of all those female leads rolled into one kick @$$ character. She lures and ensnared men to their knees and sometimes death with her seductive charm, beauty and intelligence. Men underestimate her because she's a women and that my friends...is their downfall!
James Bond, Michael Corleone The Godfather, Jason Bourne, The Irishman, The Departed and Boondock Saints all feature strong dominant men involved in legal but mostly illegal activities. These movie male leads combined equal Flynn the Scottish leader of SINS ( think Scottish IRA, mob! Hot, kilt wearing man who is dangerous, scary and ruthless to his enemies! Solid, strong, fierce, loyal and loving to his friends and family Both of blood and choice.
In these books you get continued storyline and characters, Italian mob, Russian mafia, the IRA, FBI, and a plethora of amazing secondary characters. You get mild sexy times, drama, action and mystery rolled into these strong storylines. A Storyline that will keep you thinking who did it, why and how, Who else will come after Flynn, Barrett and the people they love? Who else will Barrett, Flynn or Sasha (Russian mob boss) have to Bargain, threaten, maime or kill to live normally? (well as normal as the mafia and mobs can) Action, drama and more action make these books intense and enthralling. Some questions and mystery solved but so many more unanswered. Enough to keep you wanting and going back for more!
What I didn't like, all the secrets, lies and unnecessary drama because both Flynn and Barrett are not the best communicators! Barrett is the worst at not confiding and keeping secrets from Flynn and being a huge hypocrite!

The first two installments were really allowing us to find our footing with this story, with our characters, and in this third book, we have utter chaos and insanity. There’s really no moment for relaxation or reprieve…instead there are attacks constantly and at every angle, with the hopes of ripping relationships and families apart. Will whomever is behind it succeed? I think they just might.

We start off this story with Flynn and Barrett on their long awaited honeymoon. They’re taking time away to spend it alone, without kids in the hope to find what their relationship was based on – the romance and attraction and companionship between them. They’re able to succeed until they’re not.

Throughout this story we watch deaths amass, alliances form amongst differing mafia organizations, and the hunt for who’s truly behind it all. We watch as Flynn and Barrett and everyone celebrate the opening of the Rex in Vegas, just to have it thrown in their face when a scandal tears their family apart.

Someone’s out to pin Flynn for cheating on Barrett, and when we learn that woman is pregnant, we know that not only can it not be Flynn, we realize that it was Duncan…or was it? Duncan and Ash are in a good place at the onset of this story, but that dalliance throws them into a tailspin and we see that their relationship is doomed.

Add to that, Sasha is now dating a woman named Quinn who has ties somewhat to Flynn’s family, and yet, there’s so much distrust between them. She’s worried that Barrett will go after Sasha since it’s clear that Sasha is still in love with her, and we watch that relationship struggle to find it’s footing.

Several of our favorites are kidnapped and several characters end up dead. Like I noted before, we find ourselves aligned with the most powerful drug kings in Argentina, we are in debt to the White Company all of a sudden and we find out that the person behind the mass of killings isn’t someone we suspected and the person who’s after Flynn is someone that we should have expected.

There’s the constant question of trust and loyalty, the worry that there will always be someone to watch out for over their shoulder and the notion that there’s never going to be a moment of calm in their lives. is that what they want and is that something they can survive? The only way to find out is to read through this story, through the epilogue and see if the next book takes us to a place that makes things any more clear

Love the whole series. I read this awhile ago and never posted my review. And just recently reread the series for who knows what time(yes I know that’s crazy) but it’s a great series. On the edge of you’re seat throughout the series and each of the books on their own. I originally read the first 4 individually then reread them as the 1-4 set. These books suck you in until the last page. This book continues on where the last left off. As much as I LOVE Flynn I also LOVE Sasha and his undying devotion to Barrett and her kids. That’s friendship unrequited love). So sad. They navigate through this new chapter while people plot to bring them down. It is quite nice to see a dominant alpha male who will do anything for his family still recognize his woman’s strength. Flynn knows the power house that is his wife and knows nothing can hold her back. This book and the whole series is full of twists, turns, edge of your seat moments, SINS, secrets and steam!! Must read!!

I think my favorite romance stories have to include action and drama. I think this series delivered plenty of that - from political corruption, kidnapping, revenge, plotting, mafias, strong heroine, etc.... More than just a typical love story. Was it excellent? No. But I liked them or at least I must have since I read them so quickly! Generally easy read.

I think maybe the 2nd book was my favorite of the series though this last book had a good twist. (there is one more book but focuses on a different character from the 1st book in the series but I don't think I'll be reading it anytime soon.) Also, I wish there was more on the character Sasha - he pulled my heartstrings.

This book has changed my view on the series. It’s all coming together, while their are still some holes I’d like filled, the action was non stop and kept me flipping pages wanting more. I feel like there’s some plot holes with the major characters, breadcrumbs of what they’ve been through to make the story move but not enough to fill it up without a million question. Hopefully the next book will fill in some of that

Loved them

Just gorged on al three bookings two days. Only reason I have it four stars is sometimes it felt like you were out of the loop. I’ve seen that Sasha has his own serious which I’m so excited about cause he was one of my favourites. I’m hoping we find out everything that went down with Jane and Ramsey from the beginning also

Loved it but a bit difficult to review because I read it in the complete box set, so my review would have spoilers about the other books, will just say it’s a great read 😁
