At first when I looked at the cover of this book, I saw that it was a "write" better book; therefore, I thought that this book would be a long one. I figured this book would discuss point-of-view, which is a key factor regarding writing. But, this book will give the spark that someone needs to get back into the groove of writing. I read this book in 10 minutes because I am a fast reader, but do not let this book fool you. I recommend purchasing this book, reading it really quickly, and taking it to heart by practicing the 50 ways to improve your writing. Maika'i no!
I didn't count, but I'm not certain that there were actually 50 well thought out ideas regarding ways to improve writing. It was a fast read. Really fast. As in, I've read longer blogs on this same subject, and there were few insightful ideas that I haven't read elsewhere. That being said, if you aren't familiar on the subject or haven't read any books about writing it might be a good place to start. The information is quick, concise, easy to read.
A quick read, geared more towards aspiring writers than established authors. Could've used a good once-over by an editor, and need way more commas, in my opinion. The 50 ways to improve your writing were high-level ideas and not very in-depth or heavily discussed, but many were good reminders of what to do when working on a story or article.
