Good Classic Femdom “spanking material”

I have been debating with myself whether I should rate this novella 4 or 3 stars. It would have been perfect if amazon would let us use half a point. Anyway, it was good spanking material. The story succeeded in getting me aroused, almost from the start to the end. Clearly, it was composed for us, kinky male with submissives cravings. Because of the way it was written, I doubt the author’s name is really Samantha, as it sounded like a man putting in words his personal fantasies. Each chapter depicted a different kink or fetish, going from moderate to heavy activities. Beware for those new to this sort of erotica. You’ll find financial domination, crossdressing, forced-bi, discipline, and a lot of humiliation.

I would qualify this story as classic femdom, meaning that it starts of with characters of seemingly equal levels, could by wife/husband, boss/secretary, colleagues, teacher/student. Then one of the partner discovers power exchange play, they start playing slow and then it skyrocket from there on, until the sub reaches the deepest form of depravity. This was different in the sense that is started off as usual, equality, discovery and soft playing. Only here there were no soft play, it jumped right to the sordid and debased activities. That put me off, I can’t fathom how one would let himself go from these two opposites state this rapidly. He gotta be slowly lured and seduced to it, at least for me to find it plausible and truer. The suspension of disbelief was too much work to let myself carried away by the story. It also needed editing as I found several annoying grammar and syntax errors.

All in all, not that bad, not literary great either. Good for escapism, but a little over the top and it was more a telling than showing type of story.

This is a very well written novel of erotica, kinks, fetishes and femdom. None of the often found repetitive clichés or the over the top moaning and "stick it in me big boy" type dialogue that so many lower quality stories use. This feels a lot more professional and moves along at just the right pace hitting the mark for those broad minded readers who like a dirty, smutty story. It feels realistic and is a believable tale rather than smut for smut's sake. If you like this kind of story then this one is an excellent example.

The narrator also deserves heaps of praise for the top notch performance as she moves the story along bringing the characters to life and using just the right amount of vocal emotion to convey the nervousness, doubt, adoration and eagerness of the sub and the sultry, slutty, devious and wicked side of the dom.

Overall a super example of this genre.

As the publisher of the audio edition of Serving the Roommate, I was surprised to learn that all print editions of Samantha Love's books are no longer available. Happily, all the audiobook editions are still for sale on Amazon, Audible and iTunes.

I loved this book! The story flowed well and it hit so many of my favorite themes. This was the second book I've read by Samantha Love and now I want to read more.

Fantastic Femdom fictional book. Many femdom themes and fantasies are contained in this story, and they work well together. The story is written from the male's perspective.

I don't always agree with everything the male protagonist (or antagonist) does in this story, but his actions/motivations are close enough that it does not interfere with my suspension of disbelief.

Without spoiling the story, femdom activities include control, manipulation, chastity, financial control, cuckolding, cross-dressing/maid service, and forced-bi.
