Long have the people of the Southern Realm suffered in their desert land. For two whole ages, water has been withheld from them by a ruthless governor, one who wields an ancient power that stifles the rain—a power called the Hidden Thunder.
Now, at long last, the Governor’s grip is starting to slip and the Realm is on the verge of total collapse. For the fate of the world rests in the hands of a small band of revolutionaries, and one ignorant young boy who is thrown from all that he holds dear. A boy who must master what no man has ever mastered before: the Hidden Thunder.
I'm Daniel Harms, an 18-year old young man wrapping up his time in high school, before he continues his academic journey at the University of Missouri-Columbia. I love to read absurdly long fantasy series, (and good heavens, I'm starting to write one too), read history, read graphic novels, and just read in general. I also can be spotted running around town, gaming with my brother on the Xbox, and playing this marvelous board game called chess.
I am an aspiring author who has just published his first book, "Hidden Thunder." Written in the tradition of classic epic fantasies such as Lord of the Rings, Wheel of Time, and The Stormlight Archive, I write in my own big, fleshed-out world called the Three Realms. I draw influence from these aforementioned authors, as well as history, the news, and even personal experience.
If you read "Hidden Thunder" and happen to enjoy it, I am writing a novella set in the same world. Better yet, a sequel to "Hidden Thunder" is in the pipes as well.
