Since this hero deserves 1000000 stars I don’t feel like rating it less that 3.
The book is a love story with a touch of mystery and paranormal.
- it is maybe too long and not blended at all.
- there’s a first part, described with many details, where the hero and the heroine meets in high school. As soon as he sees her he understands she’s the one.
Those early days takes almost half the book, and sometimes I was wondering where that would take.
Nowhere.
Maybe the author wanted to describe how wonderful the hero is and how they are fated mates, twin souls and all that, since the hero never looks at another woman and they are always so good together- including very hot in bed.
Then they get married, he has a wonderful career and they have tho children, that we barely meet during the whole book since they seem to be always at someone’s house.
Twenty years later something happens- at last.
The hero starts traveling and there are signs that he might be cheating on the heroine.
The hero seems to be hiding something and we readers think, oh, so he’s just like any other man, looking for a mistress when his wife of twenty years gets older.
But it’s not so simple.
Basically there’s a ow, a psycho narcissist nymphomaniac who tried years before to do the hero but of course he refused with utmost disgust, even if this woman is better than a supermodel and sex on legs, but hey, this hero is the one dreams are made of, so he rejects her scornfully and she eventually stops stalking him.
But now she’s back again.
And she is so so evil that she drugs him and basically abuses him (thank god she can’t rape him since he’s unconscious) until the very strange and weird end when the heroine has a premonition and saves his life.
Nothing to say about the characters, they are a wonderful couple and the hero is unreal in his perfection.
Could he have avoided ow? Nope, she was his student first and then she managed to have a job where she could see him every day and it was very difficult for him to prove that she was stalking him- they all would have thought she was an ex mistress turned a bit insistent.
- there are many things I didn’t like: the fact that the first part was so long then it abruptly turned to the present.
- too many sex scenes. The heroine has also dreams that shows ow and husband having sex, she would be seeing ows dreams basically, but it wasn’t necessary to describe all those dreams in details. There’s so much sex that it seems a means to fill the pages.
- the end was a bit rushed and not so likely, since there are no witnesses of that final scene where ow threatens the hero.
Ok she is unbalanced but couldn’t the hero put some bugs to spy on her and to record her calls??? Meh.
- ow was really ott and I liked her sometimes. She was so cute thinking that, because she was such a hot piece of a** no man could resist her ever! Poor thing! Even if the hero was most perfect man around I don’t want to think that all the men would have sex with her only because she is beautiful and sexually available. This is debasing all the category of men and treating them as brainless idiot lead only by their d**k.
I suppose there would have been other men not so willing to have sex with a promiscuous- even if very hot- woman, but maybe in her deranged mind there weren’t.
- the man was abused and didn’t even bat a lid? Where’s PTSD? Where is his reaction to a really traumatic experience? Rape is not only traumatic for women, it is for men too.
Badly dealt with.
- I liked that for once its the man who is stalked and abused ( not that I wanted him to be!) and I liked that he feels powerless because, for once, there’s a reverse double standard because he wouldn’t have been believed since his stalker was such a gorgeous and young creature. This is really interesting.
- I think the book needed editing and some cuts but anyway I enjoyed it and I really loved the hero all the time. Most perfect hero ever, and I need some of those!

I stumbled upon this new author and her debut novel purely by accident, but I’m glad I did.
With a title like Mine, Not Hers, I was prepared for some drama and/or angst. And the plot went a little like this:
The first part of the book lets the reader meet Katie and Jason, who are still in high school. They seem drawn to one another and end up seriously dating and becoming inseparable. Eventually, they go to college, get married after college, and start a family together. Those first few chapters are a bit fluffy, as Katie and Jason build their relationship, and work to build a future together. It’s in this part of the book that I became extremely protective of this little family and their happiness.
The next part of the book takes us into their married life together. Katie has made a wonderful new neighborhood friend who I enjoyed reading about, also. About 40% into the book is where things start to get interesting. The author’s blurb states: “Strange, erotic dreams foretell an unwelcome intrusion into their perfect world.” So there’s that, but there’s so much more to the story as Katie deals with her insecurities and as Jason deals with his secrets. Will their epic love be able to withstand the pressures that could potentially tear them apart? Will their love be strong enough?
These were great leading characters. I thought Jason to be a wonderful friend, lover, husband, provider, and father for his wife and family. Katie started out as so unsure of herself in the beginning of the book, but with Jason’s unconditional love, she came out of her shell beautifully. The supporting characters made me love them as well – Colleen with her bouncy loudness, and Melanie with her easy-going personality.
The story is told in dual first-person POV, mostly by Katie, then by Jason, and then later there’s an occasional additional POV that adds more info to the plot of the second part of the book.

This is a really romantic and sexy book about Katie and Jason who meet in High School and marry. I really love a romance that focuses on the after part of a story - the marriage because it becomes a richer story that draws you in. If you like a contemporary hot sexy romance with a hint of a psychological thriller, this is a great read fun.

Mine, Not Hers (first of all, stupid title!) is a one note story of one couple's journey from high school sweethearts to a marriage in flux.
Katie and Jason met in high school in a moment of insta love, the way teenagers have a way of doing. Katie was so insecure, though, that she couldn't for the life of her fathom the hottie liking her, so she spurned him every time he tried to talk to her. Finally, he got through to her, thanks to some help from her friend, Colleen, and they spent the rest of the year happily in love. Then came college, grad school for Jason, then real life, where Jason opened up his sports medicine clinic and she stayed home with their kids. So far, so good. They're happily married, settled in a new gorgeous house, she's made friends with a neighbor. Then she starts having disturbing, erotic dreams of Jason with another woman. She and Jason continue to have lots and lots and lots of sex, but in the back of her mind, she knows something's wrong. And when she sees a receipt in his office with a woman's writing on it, she knows Jason's keeping secrets from her. But, instead of being the mature adult she should be, and asking her husband if anything was wrong, she proceeded to sneak behind his back with the help of her new friend, Melanie (the heroine in the next book), and Colleen, to try to figure out what's going on and who the woman could possibly be. Sigh...
Mine, Not Hers was frustrating. It had the potential to be a really good story about a marriage in trouble. But, it didn't live up to the potential. Katie was annoying and ridiculous, although sweet, and if it weren't for the fact that Jason could win sweetest husband of the year award, I would probably 2 or 1 star this. All this ended up being was a kind of boring tale with too much sex and not enough communicating, and an annoying woman who I wanted to smack a few times.

This was such a mixed book for me. I really liked the whole psycho stalker woman angle but then it veered into ridiculousness with the whole psychic dream connection rubbish so I'll go three stars as half was good and half was just daft.

The writing was ok but I found it hard to connect with any of the characters. Honestly they were acting like hs kids. A bit too far fetched too.

It's so rare to find a book where the man is abused/stalked (only in fiction do I find this okay) that I really hoped for a good story. Jason was amazing the book sadly was not

Ok, I was not expecting that! At times the story moved to slowly, but it didn't drag the whole time.
Happy it was a complete book and didn't end on a cliffhanger. A few things about the heroine annoyed me like she never mentioned the bar incident.... I thought the whole High School sweethearts thing would annoy me, but it was sweet.

This is another great book by this author. Has a great storyline I enjoyed and even better characters. Read this one in one sitting and didn’t want to put it down. I would wholeheartedly recommend this book to everyone

This is the first book in the series and was a good read. Jason and Katie met and fell in love in high school after school they marry have a family when Katie starts to have weird dreams she starts to doubt Jason is he really who she thinks he is? This was an okay read and I did enjoy it but for me, there was way to much sex in it never thought I would say that but it was not really needed
