About the author

Toby Wise is a stay at home parent who hails from a tiny town in Wisconsin. Contrary to popular Wisconsin stereotypes, he’s not a cheese-head who enjoys beer but rather an introvert who spends all his time on the internet, drinking coffee, spending time with his kid, and cooing about his adorable cat, Pikachu.

In April of 2019, A Collection of Strays was born after the world of fanfiction drew him back into his love of writing. Now he’s writing all things omegaverse as long as it includes silly moments and found family.

My Omega's Dream is the third book in the multi author shared world Nesting Ever After: Christmas series. Each book can be read as a standalone but why not enjoy the rest of the series. This is the story of Frost an alpha wolf shifter who dream walks and Avery an omega. This was just a sweet story perfect for the holidays. With all the worry and work the holiday season brings it's nice to have a low to no angst story to fall into. I loved the characters and world building. I would definitely recommend this book and series.

Cute, but I wish there'd been more with the dreamwalking. I always think that's an interesting trope. I do love a good matchmaker though, and the owners of the vacation cabins were very good matchmakers :)

My Opinion:
Here we have a workaholic omega wolf shifter, Avery, forced into his vacation by his best friend (thank you Ellie!) where he stays at a lodge that happens to be housing the sexy and sweet alpha wolf shifter, Frost. We get to read a short and sweet tale of insta love, dreamwalking, fated mates, and creating a family. I really liked this book, I had previously read Whisker Me Away by Toby Wise and loved it so when I saw this on my reading app I knew it was next for me.

Frost is an alpha wolf shifter who dream walks. He is alone and without a pack because his old pack were superstitious and feared him being a dream walker. He is wondering if he will ever find anyone who would accept him as he is. Avery an omega and wolf shifter. Avery needs a break from his job as a pack medic and his best friend gifts him with a get away. The two meet in dreams before they meet in real life. This is their story. I liked how Frost and Avery complimented each other. Good thing that the resort owners are more than happy to give fate a little push! The book is written well and is easy to read. A sweet holiday read.

I found this story to be quite good and unique. Frost being a dream walker was really interesting to read about and I liked the creativity Toby had with creating that ability of his. I liked the two MC's together, I think they contrasted each other as well as complimenting one another. I do wish there were more scenes where they got to know each other, there likes and dislikes, interests, goals, etc. However, I did still enjoy this story quite a bit.

For those wondering if this is a Christmas-sy story, While the holidays are mentioned, it's not the focus of the story. There is more mentions of snowy weather than of the holidays. Here are some tropes you can find within the pages of Frost and Avery's story; Snowed in, forced proximity, opposites attract, hurt/comfort, only one bed, and mpreg.

A really enjoyable story about Avery who is a wolf shifter, and the pack medic who doesn’t understand the meaning of taking time out for them himself, his best friend Ellie buys him a holiday in the mountains for a week to relax, little does he realise that he will meet his fed mate in Frost, who is also a wolf shifter, but a nomad after his family kicks him out of their pack because of his dream walking abilities. I thought this story was really cute, and the characters were believable and endearing. I like the romance and the way they got to know each other before they finally realise that they were meant to be together as mates. There is a happy ending for both of these characters and a baby on the way.

Third book in this sweet holiday series and I loved them all. The mysterious couple has done it again. Thrown two unexpecting lonely people together to find romance. This one is a little different than the first two. Avery isn't so much as a lost and desperate omega in need of assistance but he is more a less a little lonely and needs his better half to have his HEA. In comes Frost...a lone wolf... due to not being accepted in his old pack. Once a mix up in cabins throws these two wonderful people together, their journey to love was easy and angst free. Frost gets all the love and acceptance he needs and so does Avery...he gets his dream alpha. I highly recommend this series.

This was a really fun read with a one room trope. Avery needs a break from his job as a pack medic and his best friend gifts him with a get away. Frost ends up at the cabins and does some work around the place to pay for his stay. I liked how they did have separate cabins at first and then some matchmaking happens and these two suddenly need to room together. There's a lot of feelings and these two are very sweet characters. It's kind of a holiday read, but Christmas wasn't the main focus which I liked. It was sweet watching Frost finally get the pack and family he deserved after so many years. I really enjoyed this read and found it quite heartwarming!

I was entertained by this fluffy, low angst, well written page-turner. Avery, an omega and the medic of his wolf pack, has finally been encouraged to take a holiday. Frost is a wandering wolf shifter with no pack, as he was expelled for being a dreamwalker. He has stopped at the same cabins where Avery is staying. Frost walks into Avery's dreams and the rest is history. Insta love and sugary sweetness ensues between the omega and the alpha. The owners of the resort are mysterious and I liked Avery's pack members. It's an enjoyable short read.

I love this author’s books and I really enjoyed this one. Frost is a wolf and a loner. Because of his gift, he was kicked out of his pack because of it. Avery is also a wolf and a medic for his pack. When his best friend gets him a ticket to enjoy a cabin, he goes to rest and relax. When the owner’s come to Avery and tell him they overbooked, if he would mind if his neighbor stays with him. He said no and officially meets Frost. As they get closer, Frost tells him what happened with his old pack and Avery was very accepting. This is a quick read with heat and chemistry between them. Loved it.

This omegaverse, shifter romance starts with Avery, the pack medic. He's working himself ragged, so his best friend books him a vacation to a lodge not too far away. There, he meets drifter, Frost. These two have an immediate chemistry that neither will openly admit to.

I really enjoyed these characters. Avery was such a sweet and shy omega. Frost, despite all his appearance of confidence, had a wounded soul underneath. Together, they build each other up. They have good communication and openness with each other. I would definitely read more by Toby Wise.

Acceptance

This is a sweet story with a slightly older omega and the drifting alpha. Theo and Elias do what they do best and help a young struggling alpha by letting him work for a warm place to stay. It just happens to be next to an older and very shy omega. I can't honestly decide who is the sweeter of the two because Avery and Frost are both adorable in their own way. This is a story of accepting each other for who they are no matter what.

Another sweet winner

The thing I adore about Toby Wise's books are the low angst sweetness that permeates the entire stories. This one is another shifter book that just makes you love the characters and the journey they travel to reach their HEA.
Avery; a pack medic, is worn out, so his best friend Ellie gifts him a weeks holiday in a cabin. Enter Frost; a handyman down on his luck. Add in two matchmakers and heh presto, love is in the air. A great story.

This is a lovely, no angst, quick read full of a touch of magic. Avery and Frost meet by accident or is it design. One has never known a true home or pack, while the other works too hard and doesn’t stop for any personal time. It is sweet and a little bit naughty but definitely right. These two are true mates and the connection is instant, even if they only meet in their dreams at first!

This book was so sweet and cute. I loved how they met. It was unusual. But it made it very interesting. They belonged together. I loved Ellie as well. We all need a friend like her. Frost and Avery were perfect. I loved how Frost accepted Avery and made sure he knew how special he was every step of the way. And I loved that Avery was able to show Frost he was deserving of love.

Another sweet loving holiday story.

Avery meets Frost while on a week vacation right before Christmas. Frost is a drifter, not by choice, that meets a lot of people but would like to find a permanent home.

Avery and Frost are wonderful main characters with supporting characters who really shine bright through each interaction.

Toby’s writing always makes me want to be a part of the family on the page. The found family community inspires hope and love.

Each book in this series has been so sweet but this one was a little different. They dream walking first meet was interesting to read. I appreciated how things developed for them after that and I liked their happily ever after.

Gah! I'm so behind in my 2024 reviews, gonna have to bullet point this one...
- Ouf. Avery's best friend, Ellie - "The moment she joined the pack, she somehow knew I was an introvert in need of being adopted by an extrovert" - I know all I need to <3
- These are clearly the same cabins as book two since we get to see the meddlesome Theo and Elias - is their origin story written somewhere?
- The dream walking is an intriguing talent, but it would have been nice for it to have gone somewhere, maybe turned it into a vocation.
- I loved their delightful meet-cute as Frost finds himself in Avery's dreams and then they cross paths irl.
- Sweet, likable MCs, wild attraction and insta-love.
- Low angst, quick, cute, spicy read, I just wish it had been more festive.
