Experience the retelling of "Enemies with Benefits" through Ezra's point of view.
To Colby, love is simple, but for Ezra, it’s a storm of chaos and confusion.
Caught between his own feelings and the heavy weight of his father’s expectations, Ezra struggles to hold onto the life he’s carefully built . As his emotions spiral out of control, he finds himself at the mercy of the most ridiculous crush he's ever had.
Will Ezra keep the status quo or surrender to the irresistible pull of love?
I really don't know why, but there is just something about this story that I really like. After finishing Enemies with Benefits, which is mostly told from Colby's POV and finding out there is another version but from Ezra's POV, I couldn't resist.
Colby's version of the story is just like him, dumb but endearing, so I was not expecting all the angst and suffering from Ezra. The poor boy had so much constant anxiety and unrequited feelings, adding up to his shitty family dynamics is not surprising he was constantly on edge and depressed, his happiness after finding out Colby actually liked him was very satisfying to read.
Brent was a great friend, and I really liked how he had the coach in his corner. As for his dad, was it just me who felt the dad might have implied he was gay or maybe bi when he was younger and acted on it too? NGL, I would like to see Ezra's dad have a redemption arc and maybe his own HEA with a nice guy.
