This book review is about the book Win or Lose by Jake Maddox. What's it's about is a basketball player named Pj Harris who is the tallest player on his basketball team. He averages the most points on his team but he doesn't know how to shoot a free throw to save his life and later in the book he is gonna lose his team the game by missing 2 free throws. After that he works on his free throw and his dad gives him some advice and he gets in that same situation again but this time he makes both free throws and wins his team the game.
The theme about this book is kinda about sports and it's kinda telling you to not give up and keep working at it if you can't get it right away. Some of the characters in this book are the main character Pj Harris and his friend Dwayne Illy, and Daniel Friedland. Pj Harris is a very negative player and example of that is when he is about to quit the team because he couldn't make a free throw. His friend Dwayne Illy on the other hand is the best free throw shooter on the team he is kinda cocky because when he is trying to teach Pj how to shoot free throws he would say "watch the master".
Why I liked this book is it's a sports book about a basketball player and my personnel favorite sport is basketball also it was very easy to read and i'm not a huge fan of reading. I would recommend this book if you don't want to read a lot but also want it to entertain you. One thing I disliked about this book was it was kinda predictable because you could just tell the hole way he was gonna hit the free throws at the end. My favorite part is when he makes the game winning free throws because who doesn't wanna see a good ending. Anyway this the end of my review I gave it a 4 star out of 5 rating.

I thought the story was good. The story is about P.J., a basketball player who is the tallest player on his team. P.J. is very good at rebounding because he is tall, however he has a problem; he is not good at free throws. His friend and teammate, Daniel, tries to help him improve his free throw shooting.

This book also includes a glossary, discussion questions, writing prompts, and facts about basketball centers.
