Ragnarok is upon the worlds, and the time to fight is now. They come from all of the Nine Realms. Dark Elves, Dragons, Frost Giants, Elves ... They all come to fight for Odin.
And they answer to Valkyrie Brynhildr.
While Bryn grieves, struggling to cope with Sigrun's death, she knows too there is no time for tears. Odin is still a shade of himself and though there is no sign of Loki in all of the Nine Realms - Thor knows he is hiding in Midgard. As the Warriors gather, Bryn must head the offensive and enter the Human Realm in search of the Trickster and his henchman.
The war is silent and it rages all across the planet.
Ragnarok is here ...
In this, the 4th thrilling instalment in the Valkyrie series, Bryn takes the war to home turf. From New York to London, Interpol to CIA, Bryn and her team risk their lives to save their families, to the All-Father. And to prevent the end of the world.
I have been a writer from the time I was old enough to recognise that reading was a doorway into my imagination. Poetry was my first foray into the art of the written word. Books were my best friends, my escape, my haven. I am essentially a recluse but this part of my personality is impossible to practise given I have two teenage daughters, who are actually my friends, my tea-makers, my confidantes...
My heart is currently broken in two. One half resides in South Africa where my old roots still remain, and my heart still longs for the endless beaches and the smell of moist soil after a summer downpour. My love for Ma Afrika will never fade. The other half of me has been transplanted to the Land of the Long White Cloud. The land of the Taniwha, beautiful Maraes, and volcanoes. The land of green, pure beauty that truly inspires. And because I am so torn between these two lands - I shall forever remain crosseyed.
I love talking to my readers so email me if you have any questions or even if you just want to chat... Email: teeayerauthor@gmail.com

Dead Wrath by T.G. Ayer is the next installment in the Valkaryie series. This book, just like the others, kept my interest and took me on a journey with Bryn and her friends. I can't wait to read the last book in the series so I'll know if they can defeat Loki and prevent Ragnarok.
In Dead Wrath, Bryn finds herself on a new journey, one she wasn't prepared for, but one that she takes on with so much grace and strength. Even though she shows so much courage, she deals with so many other turmoils and doubts. But she fights as hard as she can to overcome them all. Bryn and her friends go on many missions in this book to find Loki and figure out what his plans are for Ragnarok. So there is plenty of action and page turning events that sent me into a frenzy. By the end of the book, I was emotional and at a loss for words. Why oh why did my favorite of all the characters have to reach such a horrible fate. I'm not looking forward to moving on to the next book with their absence, but I'm also hoping everyone can be saved.
So to anyone who loves a great story line and a series that you just can't stop reading, you should give the Valkaryie series a try. I've loved it from the beginning and I'm saddened that I'm closer to the end. Dead Wrath by T.G. Ayer is a magical journey and if you love Thor and Loki, you'll enjoy this story. I give Dead Wrath by T.G. Ayer 4 out of 5 STARS!
Bryn Halbrook is a Valkyrie and newly revealed daughter of Odin, as well as war leader for Ragnarok. Bryn is still reeling from the loss of her best friend only wanting to grieve but there is really no time for it. Bryn must find a way to stop Loki's meddling and hopefully Ragnarok too. Loki seems to be able to hijack The Bifrost anytime he wants and he shouldn't be able to do it. Odin is still in another realm trapped and unsure how to escape it. Can Bryn trust everyone or just a few people? What are Loki's plans? Can Loki be stopped? Your answers await you in Dead Wrath.
I'm starting to get annoyed as Bryn for Loki's interference all the time but can see why it's important also. The characters and story keep me being engaged and wanting more. I'm definitely looking forward to what happens next.
In this one even though Bryn is in mourning she still goes on. There are still things to do and fights to be won. She is not alone so with the team she takes you full on into this one. Now they will go into more familiar places with us keeping our attention. They is no time to rest either there is plenty of action along the way as they seek. To say this is not fantastic would be a lie with all the characters mixed in here. Many emotions will be played in here with gut wrenching results. This author puts it all in here with you grieving also but you can not stop now you must see it through to the end.
Bryn is one the most unique characters I've read in a long time. She is so much stronger than she even things she is, yet exhibits a vulnerability that makes her feel like a real human teen. I did expect a lot of Ragnarok action that never came in this installment so I hope it's in the next. I'm very excited for more gods and characters to come up. I feel like the next book is going to wrap this whole series up so well. I did notice a few editing issues, which is my only negative. Bring on book 5!!!
This series continues to surprise me with the twists and turns in the story line. So many things are going on in this one (I'm not telling) that kept me glued to my kindle. I didn't want to put it down! The pace of this one was a little bit slower, but the character growth was great. The way Bryn rises to the occasion even when her heart isn't in it makes me enjoy her even more. The emotional ups and downs blend perfectly with the surprises, and even without the intense action there is a lot going on. I can't wait to see what happens next!
This fourth book in this series continues with Bryn going on several missions to try to locate Loki she finds him a couple of times but he manages to escape and continue on is wicked ways. Also, there is a very sad moment in the story when a warrior who she is very close to dies. And, of course, we have the big cliffhanger at the end. If you have read this far into the series then surely you will want to read on to the next book. I’m going to cause I hafta find out how Ms Ayer twists up the next plot.
I really enjoyed reading this book as much as the first few in the Valkyrie series. All of them are well written and are saturated in a mesh of mythology and fantasy. I'd recommend reading these books in order, but I think just about any of them could be picked up and read as a standalone with only a few situational blanks left here or there. I'd recommend this book to any fantasy and mythology fans that are looking for a book that involves war.
Ok, this is just a a “quickie” review. Unfortunately, I’m in a hospital and asked my husband to post this since I don’t have the time or ability right now to do better - even though the book definitely deserves it.
Bottom line: five stars. This was one wonderfully fun novel and definitely recommended. It had just what I wanted and was well written and with a great plot and great cast of characters.
I was a bit reluctant to start this book because of the promise that Ragnarok would start soon. Lots of fighting scenes I don’t really care for. But it was so different fortunately, not at all like I expected.
Loki is still doing what he does best. But maybe his motives aren’t what I thought. Bryn is affecting him somewhat, but to what extent is unclear. It ends in a cliffhanger, but I already knew I would want to read until the end.
Can I give 10 stars instead of 5? Once again the story picks up where the last one ended. I laughed quit a bit. I also cried. Seriously if you just came by this book you have to start at the beganing. You will not be disappointed. I was drawn in at the beganing no breaks ( ok well maybe a few 😜). But I did read into the night. And I did find out that there is only one more book to go 😭.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
I'm hoping it was edited by the time it reached amazon otherwise this is a 3 star. The series is absolutely fun to read, but the grammar and sentence issues were just horrible! Beyond trying to figure out some paragraphs, the characters developed and the action was great!
I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily reviewing.
Bryn and her team are preparing for the war. Loki is determined to change the future, to change the outcome of the prophesy. And he's prepared to kill anyone in his way. Well written, with a great plot and characters. I received a complimentary copy and freely give my honest review.
this is the 4th installment of this series. Ragnarok is here. Odin has put Bryn in charge. Bryn has taken her team to St. Petersburg, (Russia not Florida). and again the team is doubled crossed. I received a advance copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This series keeps getting better and better !!! It is extremely exciting, action packed, with non-stop intrigue and many twists and turns, but also very emotional and heartwrenching too .
Wow another great in this fantastic series. Needed to find out more about Bryn and her friends. She’s still grieving. Loved every bit of the story and definitely ready for more.
As the series goes on, there are things that are not being explained... SPOILER BELOW
There are several instances in the book that make a reference to things or times that Bryn has gained experience with, but they are never explained.. it is almost as if the author is trying to say that during the time period the books are taking place there were gaps where Bryn gained this knowledge or experience, yet there are no lapses of time where this experience could have been gained. The books are right after the other with no time loss in between.
The author hooked me in the first two books, but the writing has gotten forced almost in the last two I read... the entire saga with Aiden really has me upset As it was never really gone into.. one day they are in love with this crazy electric chemistry, then disrepute never felt that strongly about one another and now the crazy chemistry is with Joshua... what is that??
Not to mention Aiden's death... it was just brushed over like no big deal.. it was really frustrating.. you get attached to a character after a couple of books and then bam he's just o it of the story mostly. Then he is killed off without a second thought and no emotion.. not even any tears are shed. Just not able to fathom that... I will be reading the last book in the series, but only because I have already come this far and I would like to see what happens..
Word of advice for the author though.. next time you make a main character, keep him a main character or at least give that character the respect he deserves! Remember that people get attached to characters in your books...
Dead Wrath is a fantastically written, adventure - filled novel containing a mixture of multiple genres.
Name your poison. If adventures, thrillers, mysteries, romances, and paranormal are genres of your liking, you will find each of these in this one series alone.
In this installment, I could feel the Valkyrie series nearing the end if it's adventure. A dystopian vibe is penetrated via the impending war of Ragnarok. Bryn's leadership mentality left an admirable impression. It caused me to recount her journeys from her first book through this one. It may not be the last book, but I am already sad to say goodbye.
Despite Aiden's actions in a previous installment I found myself caring for him all over again. The author has much in store for him in Dead Wrath.
The new characters are welcoming and i love the new friends on this journey. Many questions are finally answered while new mysteries have me on edge as I wait for the Dead Silence release.
I'm still in love with the the clarity of this particular author's writing style. The descriptive elements are simple yet refined.
Bryn is back, but Odin isn't, and then Thor disappears... things are happening, and fast!
I love the stories that TG Ayer has woven about Valkyries and Norse mythology, I think my own ancestry has something to do with it. This one has to be my favourite one by far - at this stage. Its an incredible tale with Bryn being left in charge of assembling the troops, something she would rather not do, but with support and encouragement from her friends, she is doing the job she was asked to do. But when Thor goes missing, Bryn has to find out what has happened and where he is - and who took him. Although we all know who did... don't we!
I love the character of Bryn, she is a no nonsense woman, one prepared to fight and stand up for what she believes in, and isn't afraid to stand up to gods - if they need a stern talking to. Never mind the fact that she has just found out that they are her siblings.
A wonderfully descriptive story, full of fights, betrayals, hidden agenda's, death and above all, love.
The 4th Valkyrie novel seems more action packed then the 3rd. As it is all battle-stations as Bryn is left managing the armies of Ulfr and Valkyrie all the while monitoring disturbing developments in Midgard Things start to unravel quickly with the kidnapping of Thor, the wounding of Fenrir, a sneaky detour with Loki and much, much more. We get to see Bryn take on the power and responsibility she needs to prevent Ragnarok and as always her closes warrior allies and best friends are on hand to assist in many daring challenges, confrontations and missions. The last third of the book takes a very tense and dramatic twist as Bryn finally catches the Trickster unawares as well as uncovering more of his sinister schemes. Will she be able to stop him before he is too late? You will have to read it to find out. An enjoyable read, more like a mythical 007 adventure than a norse fantasy due to the plot development but one to still read to see how your favourite characters survive.
I must say, I'm kind of disappointed in how this fourth book turned out. It was not the action-packed book of war and adventure that I had expected it to be. There was still some action and mini-battles to enjoy, and even a little death, but definitely not the quality of work that I was expecting.
Bryn had been tasked by Odin with leading the Asgardian army in the battle of Ragnarok. She is training new recruits from the Dwarven land as well as many other strange allies. War seems imminent and Bryn is just waiting for his next move. And what a deadly move that turns out to be. Before the week is out, Bryn will lose close family and dear friends, and just how lost will they be to her?
This series just brings out all the feels!!! I'm so heartbroken over the losses but also extremely excited for the quickly approaching final battle. It has been a long time since I have been so completely caught up in a series. Each and every book so far has been just an awesome adventure. I love the writing and the fact that the story never lets up. It is just go,go,go from start to finish. I'm a little nervous for the final book because anything can happen but I'm also super excited to dive right in!!
