More than love and basketball and way above the rim... Comes a story of two young kids playing the game for one goal, but different reasons.
He's got game, but young Kool-Aid also got major issue's that pushes him to use his skills to play with a crowd of street thugs who bare a personal vendetta with one another off the courts. Now his best friend A.J is trapped into playing as well, but this summer, The Backcourt Decision's Tournament will be the first time they take the court against each other. While Kool-Aid is playing for the money, he doesn't know that A.J is playing to save his very life.
Excellent read. Kool-Aid(Danny) and AJ was best friends that lived on the same block. Kool-Aid was a product of a single parent household and A.J was a product of a two parent household. Kool-Aid dreamed of going to the NBA in the future. Kool-Aid uses his skills to play ball with the guys at the playground. Once seeing how good Kool-Aid and A.J. are at basketball the drug peddlers recruit A.J. to join their team or there would be consequences. Kool-Aid decides to join the other team since A.J. is playing. I truly enjoyed this book. Awesome job…
I loved the storyline. Great read for a teenager and parent to read and discuss together. Grab a copy for you and your teenager(s) to discuss these real life situations!!!! Keep up the great work Charles.
Charles Burgess has it going on when it comes to writing it's so different from other author's you read every day I loved the characters this was about two boys playing ball on the courts one gets mad at the other and things fall apart you have to read the book to know the full story
a different read but a great story. Truly enjoyed this book. A.J. and Kool Aid had a very special friendship and so glad they didn't let Calliff and. his gang destroy that. Great Job Charles Burgess
