The Synopsis for Connected
In the city of Houston there are several stories of triumph and tragedy. Paris, Jay Rock, Bee, and Kiara have all had their fair share of both. These are four people that are vastly different but share something in common. They’ve swopped and dated the other’s spouses inadvertently. There’s the saying that three’s a crowd, so what to do when there’s four?
Paris is the on the surface “good girl” while Kiara is the wild child. Kiara uses her sex appeal to gain attention, but Paris uses her head to gain a man’s loyalty. Men take interest in the two of them for different reasons. Still, somehow they seem to attract the exact same men. This is baffling to the girls and it transforms them both into enemies.
Bee had Paris and left everyone wondering just how he did it. He wasn’t the most attractive or the biggest baller. Jay Rock had conquered most broads in the hood, including Kiara. Kiara now had her sights set on Bee and didn’t care who he was with. Jay Rock wanted so badly to deny that he had a thing for Paris that went beyond her being the only girl to turn him down.
In the game of connections through money, love, and drugs chaos always seems to be the recipe. It’s all about who can play the game the best, and nobody wants to come in last place. It’s a race to the finish line, and everybody around wants to know who will be the last man standing. Will anyone leave the race unscathed? Or will the connection they all have be their downfall?

Paris and Jay were a crazy couple, I laugh a lot on this read, I hope there's more about this couple in her other books. You already know your getting a good story if its coming from Nicole....

Nothing gets past Ms. Paris

Paris is young but brilliant. She expects to be treated well and will eventually get what she wants. Kiara was a very sad and misguided young lady. The abuse and trauma at such a young age broke my heart for her. Nicole wrote her character as if she was accountable for her actions at 10 years old while being victimized by adult men. Most of those guys were irresponsible with sex and the care of a child. Kiara lived her life rejected and unloved. Nicole, help these characters show growth. The story was sad but a reflection of what goes on in reality every day.

Bee wasn’t loyal, neither did he possess foresight. Jay Rock was a very intelligent, sexy Alpha male that was down for Paris and the twins. He was a woman abuser and that bothered me so much. Writing characters with DV situations without addressing the dysfunction and forcing both parties to get help to stop the violence is a missed opportunity. Nicole should think about the young Black female readers when she normalizes violence. She and Cion Lee love to write characters that commit violent acts in search of respect. They’re amazing writers and I’ll read anything they write but they have a responsibility to do better.

Great story

I love you stories Nicole but everything it’s started to be the same thing. Can we get a faithful woman that doesn’t cheat cause her man does but instead she leaves him behind, she levels up in all aspects of life without having to be like her dirty behind man, Karma deals with people better than we can,
I thought Paris was such a good girl with a head on her shoulders, she played a very dangerous game with two men’s hearts. Things could have ended very badly for her Bee and Jay could have both killed each other or her. Jay and Bee were not saints but men can not take the type of hurt they bring to us.

Oh woooooooow

This was a great book. Bee straight let that money change his ass. Paris surprised me. She turn out to be a lil gangsta lol. I'm glad Jay changed for the best. The love him & Paris had was something outta this world. That sh$t was crazy. I really wanna fight Callow playing with people's lives like that. All behind some "D". Kiarra played the game and lost. You can't keep doing those things and expect to have a Happy ending. This was my first read by Nicole Jackson but it won't be my last!!!

Jerry Springer ain't got nathan in these dysfunctional people. Jay Rock was a ho ho merry Christmas. Paris was a thot chasing what she thought she wanted are needed. Good read nonetheless.

Connected is the perfect title for this book. Even though Paris and Jay Rock were in love when they were younger, he let people making fun of him make him say things he did not mean causing them to separate. After that Bee got the perfect opportunity to slide in and take that spot. Bee is just stupid. No one can define who you are you must believe in your worth on your own. He let the fact that Paris gave him a fashion overhaul and money in his pocket make him look more attractive to the girls wanting his money go to his head. In the end he found out the those girls would not do that time with him are be true like he knew Paris would. That was his lost. Paris was naïve and headstrong, but she had a plan and the drive to accomplish it. This book gives you a good example of what low self-esteem will do for a person. You must read this book.

Omg

I LOVED this author....This freaking book was amazing and I love the fact that we didn't have to wait for a part two. This book I read in 2 days and it was definitely a page turner.....talk about constant drama. This was definitely the book for that. I love Jay and Paris relationship...way more realistic then some books I read. They went through so many ups in downs and just knew they would eventually get on the same page. I just recently got into Nicole books with the series "she got it" and this would be the next book I've read by her. She now definitely one of my favorite book authors and I will be reading more by her.

I will say, out of all of the books I have read by Nicole Jackson this book had to be my least favorite. While I know somewhere down the line this book will be connected to the other books in here series, this book made me feel like i had already read this story by her. I also feel like the characters were doing the same thing over and over again with all the back and forth. I am willing to try another book by the author to see if she is able to gain my interest again.

So much drama, these characters will make you laugh, cry, and cuss at the book,Paris was the truth,liars was just ugly and I'm it literally, Bee was a sickness, and Jay Rock was the truth once he found love he wasn't letting it go, but everybody was frilly connected.

My first read by this author

This was really good book. Paris had me looking at her sideways sometimes. Kiara ass was just trifling. Dang if love makes u do these things...I think I wanna stay single lhh
