It’s an epic read . It’s a long one all plans cancelled for a couple of days or three and that’s coming from me! Anyway on with my review of this awesome book by Claire Kirby. It has everything and more to devour , hour after blissful hour. Who knew that your nemesis could not only offer you your dream job but get you up the duff while on the job… literally! Late nights at the office , spats and battles tittle tattles , things get heated and before they know it they’re crossing every boundary and now there’s a pitter patter beat happening between them sheets . What will her brother say? You see , he’s her brother Jackson’s best friend . They all went to Princeton together. Samantha Hayes was in a haze when she encountered Damien Caldwell when she had just flown in to New York City from Louisiana with her border collie Jack. She reached for her Disney case well it’s a Minnie Mouse bag from the baggage claim when a hand grabs it and he’s a right pain calling her ma’am. She does protest too much! Why’d her brother have to bring him along anyway? God damn… Jackson tells her straight that he told him not to say it. “He did, He told me you’re pretty humorless these days.” . “These days?” Well, you said it,” he tells me, winking. “I’m kidding, Ham Samwich, anyone would be humorless in your situation.”“What situation is that, Damien?” she asked. “The one where you got dumped and your brother had to get you a job.” Oh that was a low blow Damien , now play nice. Sam is bereft that he told him about losing her job. , has nothing more left to say but her brother has to her dismay…“I had to. That’s how I convinced him to hire you.”“Wait, what? Hire me?”Damien flashes her a conniving smile .“I’m your boss, Samantha, but don’t worry, I’ll only make you call me ‘sir’ in front of your coworkers.” So you can tell Sam all of a sudden finds herself in hell. Well it’s as hot as, because those heated discussions are making her swell. . The backstory about Damian’s company roots and lots of other things make this so much more than a billionaire and a lowly best friend’s sister. He’s always liked her for one. But she was too blind to see that he meant every date invite and he wasn’t up to no good to beat her at studies , it was her he wanted to study every inch. But it wasn’t to be , that was the pinch and then she moved away. Now she’s back and he’s playing a counter attack. Manoeuvre….Love this epic story so much ! It’s got lots of depth and great storytelling and it’s devised really well. Yeah I think it’s excellent as I’m sure you can tell . I was so rooting for an happy ever after. Did they get it? I’m not telling you’ll have to read. But I can tell you you’re in for quite the emotional ride. Claire Kirby is there nothing you can’t do well? Cos this here story was mighty swell.

Wonderful romance
A well written story, with a lovely slow-build, heartwarming romance, sweet and spicy scenes, passion, secrets, humor, brother's best friend, an office romance and a lovely HEA.
Samantha has broken up with her ex and come home to New York to be met by her brother and surprisingly his best friend. They'd all gone to Princeton together and Damien had never managed to better her in class with a rivalry between them. She's more shocked to find that her brother's got her a new job, with Damien as her boss.
Though they repeatedly clash over marketing ideas, the looks they keep throwing each other are noticed by another in the team who's happy to point out that there's something between them. When they find themselves working together late nights on a project they stop denying their attraction for each other, and try to keep it hidden. But they can't keep their love hidden for long; with her brother also working in the company, how will he react when he finds out?

Damien and Samantha
I just had too many problems with the does he or not pining he supposedly had… he goes to date other women. And instead of saying… you remember Samantha… well I really like her and I got her pregnant to his parents he doesn’t even convey how he likes her to them. Sometimes I was like oh he’s “always” liked her but then he goes on a date… ehh
Then the worst thing - all these romance readers are like “don’t you hate it when the author obviously knows NOTHING about the job”… well this is one of those books and it was so cringe I can’t get over it. IT are NOT web designers… they aren’t part-time call help or help with marketing —— they do NONE of that especially in a huge billion dollar company. It was like 4 people were running the whole skyscraper business… totally ridiculous! Honestly I am so embarrassed for this complete lack of research about this job title.

Samantha came back to her hometown Manhattan from Louisiana ,she broke up with her boyfriend.
Her twin brother came to pick her up from the airport but he didn’t came alone he came with his best friend .
She didn’t like him because in college he made her life a living hell,he was always in competition with her grades.
She told her brother why you brought him with you and he told her because his your new boss.
She started working for his company and she was doing well because the Damien of now is caring but
She knew he is a player,will she fall for him?
I love this book and it’s a great story, really enjoyed it
The writing also is good.

OH WOW 🤯 Samantha and Damien chemistry and physical attraction will leave you breathless. It was a steamy page turner and the suspense was intense. I was on the edge of my seat and I couldn’t even put it down literally. The temptation between them was so hard to fight the urge of passion and romance with the emotion of love and chaos.

Samantha moves back to her hometown to find that her relationship with her twin brother is just as strained as when she left. He helps her get a job at his long time friend Damien's company. Damien is the off limits hot boss and brother's best friend she needs to stay away from, he doesn't give her much of a chance though. After a hot office fling neither of them can forget things get even more complicated. I don't want to give too much away, But if you like off limits romance with hot and steamy scenes plus surprises and HEA then this books for you.

This book has the feel good factor and I loved it. Damien and Samantha I absolutely loved and was gunning for them from the beginning. Tad annoyed with Samantha wanting to be independent especially when she found out she was pregnant. Damien just wanted to look after her but I loved the fact he was patient to wait for her decision. I really felt I was part of this book and storyline. Well done Claire shall be reading more of your books ❤️

Love So Subtle
Subtle did not seem to work that well on Samantha, so intense tension it is going to be. Damien doesn't make things easy for her when she returns home, but the chemistry between them sparks a fire that burns hot. This was such a great read that I could not put it down. I loved these two together till the end.

Sexy, long lost love
Great book. True to her style again keeps the reader totally invested. Sweet little romance with what first appears as an enemy to lovers, let's you begin to see they were always meant to be. Enjoyable read! This couple was perfect for each other. Not too much arguing and so much patience and romantic gestures. Fun, exciting and overall enjoyable book.

This book was so enjoyable, there was such beautiful storyline where the main characters Damien and Sam were so delightfully developed with such emotional intelligence qualities that Damien just felt real coming off the pages. Looking forward to the next book from this author.
