What I Did Like:
+The recap to start the book is PERFECT! It’s exactly what I needed as a refresher without giving away too much.
+I adore the formatting of this one and the breaks from the main POV characters into an almost all-knowing narrator (again). Specifically this one starts by counting DOWN chapters, which made me want to read the entire opening in one sitting to know what we were counting down to! That’s quite an interesting trick.
+The ending works. No spoilers but I appreciated the way this one played out.
+The way so many of these characters play with memory is really interesting. I appreciated the way writing notes to oneself was highlighted in this one, even for the ones who can remember.

Who Should Read This One:
-Circus fiction fans should really start with Unfixed because this series packs a lot of originality into the vibe you want for those stories.
-Readers who like characters who are morally gray will like this entire cast.

My Rating: 4 Stars
A beautiful sequel that does the characters justice.

I really enjoyed this sequel. All the original characters are back, along with some new creepy additions. The magical yet peculiar circus vibe is still strong, and the plot moves along quickly. It was a satisfying conclusion for the characters. Fans of circus fiction should definitely give this series a read!
