Rate this book
She woke in a forest with a gun, a precious gem, a dead body, and no memory of her life before...

She’s on the run, not knowing where to go or who she can trust. Following an unfortunate run-in with a wealthy bachelor, she’s offered temporary employment and a place to stay far from the alleged crime scene.

She’ll take on a new identity as she struggles to recapture her memories and understand her morality. She also does everything she can to resist her attraction to her new employer. But it isn’t long before her instincts lead her to perform implausible acts that leave her questioning her past and intentions.

This Goonie-esque, romantic suspense adventure involves a treasure hunt and a twisty history that will keep readers guessing until the end.

I don't know why I kept reading this to the end, I think I just kept hoping it would get better. Very cheesy and corny. Why are you kissing when you're getting shot at? It was very "Goonies" like and I think that was the intention but I found it quite juvenile.
