One day I'm struggling to repay all my debts,
The next, I'm being whisked away to get married…
My boss says he needs a wife ASAP.

When you are offered a huge paycheck that would resolve all your life's problem,
Saying yes might be the only option.
Plus my boss is pretty easy on the eyes.

Or that he's like a ray of sunshine in my life every day.

Except the guy that showed up at the altar is… not him.
The one I was just made to get married to is my boss's older twin brother…
The heir to the Bradford Enterprise.
The dark brooding man that everyone calls a beast.
The one that stays completely out of the spotlight.

Part 1

2,5 🤔🤔⭐️s

There will be readers who may find this rom com hilarious.
I didn’t especially, since all cultures are not the same. 🤷🏻‍♀️

This fake marriage story had some original elements and I enjoyed them a lot. Also, neither the characters nor their relationship was toxic.

However, the heroine’s inner dialogues or thoughts were full of chatter.
So WORDY!!!!!! I was very close to dnf it...
A pet peeve of mine is characters addressing to the reader. It is not something that thrills me.

I don’t know if it was the edition I read (it seemed like chapters were missing), or if something happened to the author and she was in a rush to finish the story, because!! As soon as the mcs decided to put aside the fake aspects of their marriage, the epilogue of two years after was delivered!!!!
They didn’t even share a date!!! The heroine was never introduced to his family and the hero almost never interacted with them.
Parts were either underdeveloped or unexploited.

Hmmm I have kind of mixed feelings on this book. I loved both MC's. It made me laugh a few times, got me weepy a couple of times and it was all around very well written. For me, I felt like it dragged a bit in the middle. I also really wanted Everleigh's boss to get his comeuppance. I guess I wish we had a little more interaction with Darius' family. Having said that it still is a really good book with great characters, like Hans and Heather. Lindsey Hart is ALWAYS worth my reading time and my book dollars.

Turning Lemons into Lemonade -
When Everleigh agreed to enter into a marriage of convenience with her boss, she never expected him to pull a bait and switch, where she married someone different. Even though Darius agreed to his brother’s offer to arrange marriage for him, the last thing he expected was the lengths of deception his brother went through to make it happen. However, Darius decided to try and make the best of the situation they found themselves in, so he did everything possible to convince Everleigh to proceed.

Whilst Everleigh was weary of the predicament she found herself in, she decided to negotiate better terms for herself and go ahead with their arrangement. Spending time together was initially awkward, but Everleigh and Darius started opening up about themselves, which allowed their attraction for each other to grow and develop into something they never expected. Both Darius and Everleigh struggled with their feelings for each other due to the contract, but everything changed after they finally acknowledged their feelings to each other and worked to wards the happy future they both deserved.

I devoured this sweet and emotionally charged romance story between two people who were forced into a situation not of their making, but found a way to navigate the obstacles in their path smoothly, so they could get a life they didn’t expect. You will definitely enjoy reading this exciting page turner and be happy to share it with all your like minded friends and family.

💖Beauty and the Recluse💘

I love it when an author can take a well-worn trope and give it an original spin to make it ignite my interest and keep me reading! The crazy bait-and-switch in the beginning had me hooked.

Lindsey Hart has written this arranged marriage trope with hints of Beauty and the Beast. The story of Darius and Everleigh’s romance is heart-wrenching, emotional, and has a touch of Ms. Hart’s unusual sense of humor. For example, in this excerpt from Darius’s POV: ‘I don’t know what I can do to cheer her up. I don’t even know what she likes besides PB& J and my mouth between her legs.’

Both characters are well-developed and show strength of character despite their weaknesses. Darius is so freaking wonderful. When Darius confesses to Everleigh: “I’m worried I’ll never find love unless I buy it.” It made my heart squeeze.

Although their love was a slow burn journey, the author made it worth the wait by solidifying their intense emotional bond. The wonderful but highly expected happy ending was fulfilling and sweet. I enjoyed this book so much. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Yay! Glad to see Lindsey back. For a quick, fast paced, light, fun read, LH has some great reads!

Everleigh is the assistant to, The Bradford Anderson. When she gets a call to come into his office, she thinks she’s in trouble but..the conversation goes to something she never thought she would hear..a wife is needed. For a large amount of money, and six months of her time, she needs to marry. Due to unforeseen circumstances, Everleigh needs the money and soon so she agrees. But, things aren’t what they appear. She stands with Bradford and says, I Do, but then he turns around and introduces her to his twin brother, Darius, her husband! Right? Crazy!

Darius stays at home as much as he can. He’s not a fan of going out as he suffered a terrible accident years prior. Not only does he have physical pain but mental as well. He is blindslided by Everleigh but soon starts to see she is a light in his life and a blessing.

Loved these two. Very unorthodox meet cute and circumstance but love how they make it work. It only takes a short time for both of them to make the other better. Hopefully we will get more with other characters.

**Little spoilers** Poor Everleigh learned that lesson the hard way. She's ultimately catfished and ends up with the boss's brother Darius. But honestly, I think she get the best deal ever, although I started out completely messed up. I love them together. It's obvious the chemistry is there from the beginning, but acting on it wasn't in the plan originally. My heart goes out to Darius as he struggles with the past. Everleigh is struggling with the present. It's these challenges that start their bond, and it's so sweetly written you can't help rooting for them to win. The flow of the story is perfect, and I loved that way things progressed over time. By the end, Darius has made significant progress, and I love that she's still healing at the end. It's not a done deal. It shows the reality of life. Healing takes time, and Everleigh and Hans are there for him 100%. Speaking of Hans, I would love to read a story about him. He brought hilarous moments to the story. Love him. Another great read by Josis Hart.

Bradford Anderson has a problem. He has a wife problem and an heir problem. He needs a wife and an heir to fulfill his grandmother's requirements in her will. He asks his assistant, Everleigh Rushdale, if she would go along with his plan with her in an arranged marriage. For 6 months, one million dollars and a whirlwind romance to sweep her away, what can go wrong! The wedding is on, she and Bradford say their vows and as she turns to him, she sees someone else walking up the aisle, and Bradford introduces him as Bradford Darius Anderson the Second, his brother. Every male in the household is named Bradford, but they all go by their middle names. Nothing strange about that! It's actually a highly amusing "meet cute" and it introduces a spirit of sarcastic comedy that is evened out by the wariness with which Darius and Everleigh perceive each other at first. I enjoyed how it played out in a Beauty and the Beast fashion with both of them being a balm to the other's soul.

She is learning the truth for a better outcome! This is about Everleigh and Darius and the family! There are so many characters in this story, but the focus is on Everleigh and Darius as she agrees to marry the boss without realizing that the actual boss is not who she has been working for! Hans is hilarious, and her sister Heather is something else throughout the book. She does what she has to do but is feisty when she realizes that the person, she has been working for lied to her or didn’t completely tell the truth in fear she would say no. Note that Darius wasn’t aware of how his twin brother had deceived her, so he was going to make it right. Of course the PB&J sandwich is what does the trick for them two! A must read!.

Ajunsa in fața altarului are parte de un șoc .

*possible spoiler alert*
Lighthearted, kinda fun, kinda funny book, really quick read. I read in a description somewhere that it was a little based on beauty and the beast and I can see maybe a teensy tiny bit of where it maybe possibly got some inspiration. Books, living in a big old (castle) house, “recluse” MMC.

The initial premise of marrying her boss but actually marrying her boss’s brother, who ends up being the actual boss… confusing… is super unrealistic. But based on the tone of the book, doesn’t have to be realistic, and really isn’t detrimental to the book itself.

Like with most contemporary romance, the issue is communication. But also, why can’t they be together? They obviously like each other. A lot.

I might read the other books in the series, and I wonder if there’s one about her sister.

This was a very good enjoyable Rom-Com story to read. This story is about Everleigh and Darius. Bradford tells Everleigh about his granny's will that he needs to be married and have an heir, or he'll lose the family company to charity. Everleigh agrees to marry Bradford Anderson her boss whom she has fantasied about sweeping her off her feet for one million dollars. Money, she needs to help her sick sister and her overworked mother. On her wedding night after the wedding ceremony an angry stranger walked into the church, that's when Bradford tells Everleigh that she married his older brother Darius by proxy. What occurs is an engaging dramatic romantic story that I found highly entertaining to read and that I'd volunteer to review.

When presented an offer by her boss to marry him for 1 million dollars so he doesn’t lose his inheritance Everleigh agrees. In debt and desperately needing money for her sister medical treatment and her mother who is working herself to the bone.
After the late night, no guests wedding Everleigh finds she is not married to her boss but his twin brother Darius. So begins a relationship that has many humorous moments and some sad ones.
A quick but light entertaining read that I enjoyed. The main characters have a good depth to them. I would of liked to have seen that her boss was seen for the flawed character that he was but no sign of him after the wedding.
My thanks to the author for the ARC, this is my honest review

Never Say Yes To Your Boss is a romantic comedy which has everything from originality to creativity. When Everleigh, a secretary with an ill sister, is surprisingly offered a marriage of convenience to her boss Bradford Lion Anderson she accepts due to the money she will receive for her sister's chemotherapy. But she is shocked to find her marriage to Bradford was a proxy for his older brother, Bradford Darius Anderson who is the actual family business CEO behind the scenes. This excellent book is a heartwarming tale of incredible characters, humorous self-talk, witty banter, past trauma, self-acceptance, unexpected plot twists, and steamy chemistry. I highly recommend this fantastic rom-com.

This was a great book. It was funny with lol moments but there was also a very emotional side to it too. The main characters were brilliant. Everleigh is kind and caring even tho she finds herself in a marriage not to her boss as she agreed to, but to his older twin brother Darius. He has become somewhat of a recluse after a serious car crash. But Everleigh decides he's worth helping despite his resistance. The other characters are great too, especially Darius's personal aid Hans - he is so funny as is Heather, Everleigh's sister. A thoroughly enjoyable read. (Still smiling).

Wills can cause some strange relationships!

Everleigh’s boss asks her to marry him as he needs to be married to inherit the company. The money offered was to good to refuse but something strange happened at the wedding. Apparently the man she thought she was marrying wasn't the actual boss and she had married Darius instead. Darius stays out of the public eye because of some physical disabilities but he does need a wife to keep the company.

Will Everleigh be able to help Darius overcome his past trauma?

The unusual plot twist made this a rather different book, but I enjoyed it.

Sweet Fake Marriage-

When her boss offers life changing money to marry him for 6 months, Everleigh accepts without hesitation because she needs the money for her sister’s medical treatment. Only her boss does a bait and switch and she actually marries his older twin brother Darius. D and Ev forge a tenuous bond of friendship that grows as they share more of their past and truths with each other. There’s a bit of spice in the second half. It’s a fast engaging read. I really liked that the characters were flawed and acceptance bonded the couple. I wish Brad had more consequences for his awful trap for both D and Ev. Hans is hilarious and needs his own adventure.

Another great romance from Lindsey Hart. I loved the premise of this book, Everleigh agrees to a fake marriage to help her mum & sister – only to find herself duped into marriage with her groom’s twin brother! I really liked all the characters in the book especially Everleigh & Darius who are well suited as a couple – she is gentle and caring and he is, in many ways, a broken man after a car accident some years before. AN enjoyable story as the two realise they are made for each other and get their lovely HEA.

Everleigh and Darius’s romance has some very surprising moments that really drew me into their story. Their characters are like onions with many deep layers to peel back. I enjoyed reading their banter and brutal honesty. The secondary characters are also quite interesting. I truly liked Hans and Heather. This book kept me turning the page with interest. It does tend to be a bit long-winded at times, but then so is Everleigh. lol.

This is the first book of a brand-new series By MS. Hart, and it was a really good start. It has sweetness and spice and certainly uses the fake, boss romance in a very different way. The hero and heroine are flawless and very human and perfect for each other. In short not too fast paced but when get spicy is spicy, mature readers, no cheating and a HEA. PS. love the side characters also hope to hear more from them Han and the sister are sooo cute also.

Wowsa this book is a must read. It will definitely have you engrossed from the beginning until the end and will still have you wanting more from all the characters in the book. When Everleigh's boss asked her to help him out with a situation she didn't expect she'd been tricked in marrying the wrong brother Darius but can they find away to make it work? This book has it all to make it a book you will definitely fall in love with.

This was a fun book to read. Love Ms. Hart’s style of storytelling with heartfelt words with hilarious humor and humility. Enjoyed these characters as they grow over time with each other as this is a slow burn romance due to the bait and switch trope. I don’t want to give it all away other than they both have pasts that have effects on how they view and act. Once again Ms.Hart has written a winner that will keep you enthralled to read from beginning to end.

When saying Yes is not what you expected

Never Say Yes To Your Boss is the first book in the I said Yes series. This story is an enjoyable mix of drama and comedy, with a fake marriage added in. The story finds Everleigh in need of money and not sure how she is going to get it. As she is the assistant to Bradford Anderson he calls upon her for the almost impossible. But what she was not prepared for was the other Anderson to show up, Darius. And boy does he show up in a lot of ways for the sweet Everleigh.

Lindsey Hart kicks off the brand new I Said Yes series with the rom-com of many tropes Never Say Yes to Your Boss. Fake relationship / marriage-of-convenience, overprotective MMC, just to name a couple - and a couple of my favourites. Darius ends up married to his brother's assistant through deception, but before long, two bruised and broken hearts find a way to mend together. An entertaining, emotional-at-times rom-com well worth a read.

He needs a wife and heir to keep his inheritance. When Everleigh agrees to marry who she thinks is her boss she gets one big surprise when the man in question is none other than her boss's twin and let the games begin! This heartfelt story had me all caught up in the antics and banter of this fake marriage as I laughed my way through this story.

Everleigh and Darius's story was one I couldn't put down. Everleigh agrees to marry her boss, but is he the one that shows up at the alter? Was she duped? Will she go thru with the marriage to help her family and Darius? I laughed. I cried. It's a perfect book to read while curled up next to the fire on a fall day. Well done Ms. Hart!

Catfished is a word I would say especially if your boss is a twin and you agreed to produce an heir, only to find out he is the your twin and not the man you married?! Yep, CATFISHED! But six months has brought a lot of laughs, second guess, mystery, secrets a man named Hans who likes to use different accents. A chef who won't shave or trim his beard. too funny and serious at the same time. good read.

Everleigh needed money to pay off her debts so when her boss asked her to fake marry him for money she jumped at the chance, but there is an unexpected twist. This slow burn, fake marriage turns real, romance is a fun one with unexpected twists, secrets, drama, steam, humor, and a great ending.
