“A charming town, a loyal dog, and a handsome stranger—Alice is about to find more than just a place to call home.”
Alice Miller has accomplished two things in the past decade: 1. Climbing the corporate ladder trying to become the youngest female partner in her consulting firm. 2. Burying the grief of her parents’ tragic death as deep as possible.
But when her life is upended with an unexpected layoff, Alice finds herself with an empty to-do list and too much time. She turns to Haven Cove, the quaint seaside town, and its lovable townsfolk-people she’d never uttered a word to.
Enter Colin-strikingly handsome with ocean-blue eyes-and his golden retriever, Atticus who literally knocks Alice off her feet. Then there’s Raya, the vibrant café owner determined to make Alice her new best friend and to pull her into the town’s close-knit community. Together, they decide to make Alice a new to do list, a series of adventures designed to push Alice to life her live while immersing herself in Haven Cove.
As Alice ticks off each adventure, she finds herself doing more in weeks that she had in years, rediscovering herself and a sense of belonging. But as her long-buried grief begins to surface, she faces a heart-wrenching decision: return to her safe, corporate cocoon or finally confront her past to fully embrace the love and community she has found.

I did enjoy the book, did notice a few spelling/grammar errors but did enjoy the cozy story and defiantly relating to Alice's struggle with her career at the moment. I would love to live in Haven Cost.
Sara Curto is certainly an author to watch, I’d go as far as to say she’s the next Sophie Kinsella. Her book made me laugh, made me cry, made me feel everything alongside the characters; I couldn’t put the book down, yet wanted to slow my reading pace to savour every word. The storyline happens to have resonated with me so much as I went through a career “pivot” similar to that of the main character just a few years ago, so I felt every stage of grief Alice went through. The small town community that rallied around Alice and made her feel loved can resonate with so many during our own tough times - be it family, your partner, your best friends, surrounding yourself with your “tribe” gives you that grounding to really connect with your true self and the place you call home.
I can’t remember the last time I read a book this quickly! Cozy and charming to the max. It resonated with me a ton and I can’t wait for the next book to be released so I can revisit this perfect little town and its characters.
A cozy romance with lots of surprises. I thought I had the plot figured out and then it twisted keeping me engaged. Looking forward to future books, as the neighbors were fascinating too.
