Alfons Maria Mucha, 24 July 1860 – 14 July 1939), known as Alphonse Mucha, was a Czech painter, illustrator and graphic artist, living in Paris during the Art Nouveau period, best known for his distinctly stylized and decorative theatrical posters of Sarah Bernhardt. He produced illustrations, advertisements, decorative panels and designs which became among the best-known images of the period.
Attending the art exhibit of Timeless Mucha offered so much more than I anticipated. I enjoyed his art, but after seeing the exhibit and witnessing his influences and growth as an artist, I came to love his art and what it means even more. He seemed to want all people to enjoy his vision, and what a beautiful view of the world and the people in it he had. Thus, I had to add this art book to my growing collection.
