The world is a hellscape, in order to survive humanity had to dig and burrow underground. A perfect machine keeps them safe, an all knowing, all loving artificial intelligence. Protecting them from the evils that have plagued mankind for eons. Fighting against Subversives who would seek to destroy the final home of humanity Peter is faced with a grim reality. As time has worn on the perfect machine has become corrupt and in learning this Peter becomes one of the subversives he sought to destroy.
